Here is my take: I was in DC yesterday, near the front & the steps. After hearing the first 6 or 7 speakers, it seemed to me it was turning into a political stumping opportunity. And boy did they take advantage of it! At l:15, I grabbed my group and we made our way to the House office buildings through a tightly packed crowd, waited in a 30 foot line out the door of the Russell Building and started seeing whoever we could find. With only 1 exception, out of the 7 or 8 offices (House & Senate) that we visited and left letters with, the staff was surly, rude and annoyed to have to deal with us commoners. Bob Casey and Tim Holden's offices were the worst; and we were actually from PA and their districts! If I had been a shrinking violet kind of person, I would have gone back to the bus after the encounter with Holden's office; it was our first visit, we waited around, being ignored and chastised for not waiting for them to "notice" us on their own. It set the tone for the rest of our stops, and we were in all 6 buildings for nearly two hours, tracking offices down.

Here is my point: They have no respect for ANY of us. The thing on the steps turned out to be a political reelection rally opportunity for many of the speakers. Standing in front of the office help doesn't do a thing to change any attitudes or mindsets. They are so full of themselves and their own importance, nothing can reach them about this issue or any other. We need to VOTE THEM ALL OUT in 2010. This Congress has been corrupted so badly it needs to be completely eradicated and a new system installed at the Capitol.

I make no exceptions at this point.

Right on, Rep. Pence. I'm burning up the phone and e mail lines to my elected representatives, for all the good it does. I won't go down quietly. I've told Pelosi that, although I can't vote in her district, I will contribute $ to whomever runs against her. We can all do that!! Check out www.johndennis2010.com Pray that he can beat Queen Pelosi in 2010.
Comment to AVA Indiana: Don't you realize that the Patriot act was passed in a effort to protecte you and me? Let's allow the CIA and FBI to do their jobs; it's not pretty, but it has to be done.

I know what I am about to say will not be like but I have to say it Pence is not a patriot he would say anything to keep his job ! if he care so much about our freedom and our constitution why did he vote for both patriot acts allowed wire tapping of americans and then vote to stop the people that were harmed by it not to be able to sue ! if we are going to be a wake lets face facts No one in office right now need to return next election . they had their chance to be patriots and failed time after time How many times must they prove it to us ? time for them to go

I am in over my head, but this is important. The local people I have talked to are mad, but also feel utterly helpless. I have pointed them to Patriotic Resistance, and am giving until it hurts. Rally around the consertive groups. Together we can make a difference, and change the way this govenment is going.

I will sing my heart out tomorrow in my state! That's the best way I know to voice my opinion. I can't get to DC, but my music is traveling to DC by bus & car pools with some fine patriots from Maryland. I've been e-mailing my reps and getting the good ol' form letter replies, but I'll just keep doing it. Here is a special video for all Americans who are making sure their voices are being heard by utilizing their true spirit and patriotism! I will continue to sing and write songs for America!!

I agree with this beautiful message, I am making my voice be heard. The Obama Admin. and Pelosi have already proved they do not stand for We the People. It is time for WE the People to take a stand against this corrupt administration and get them out of office before it is way to late. I would love to go and spend, spend,spend - some of us are responsible adults and are working hard to just barely make a living. I am tired of all the corruption!!!
