America is the greatest even when wounded. We have a wonderful heritage and many great examples of those who had vision and made the most of their opportunities. Now it is time for us to ask what are we willing to sacrifice and do to carry the torch and preserve it to pass to the next generation?

And instead of unitine, we just go on our seperate little "missions" and soon get discouraged because we find out that alone, we can do NOTHING. It is going to have to get bad enough, if that is possible, for us to decide that maybe we should follow a leader, so far, that has not happenned. I pray that it does before it is too late. But for now, let's just all enjoy the freedom to do our own thing.....how sad it is to lose the very thing we claim to cling to and love so much because we WON'T give someone the opportunity to lead us into victory......

Rauschbo- The ansswer to ALL your questions about "whyd do they get away with....?" can be summed up quite simply. "THEY" konw they have NOTHING to fear. We can't seem to get organized and stay organized long enough to take them out of office and put them in jail. They simply know how unfocused the American citizens have become.....

I am not sure how we became focused on the Oil aspect of the left-wing corruption - {aside: It seems rather funny that they HAMMER the Republicans for being oil-money whores, when the Dem party receives MORE money from the oil "lobby" than the Rep's, and the government has voted themselves a HUGE piece of the $ pie from oil sales!!!}; I seem to recall from last fall, a bill that either voiced support in the form of a finding or statement of intent that would allow us to drill / find / extract our OWN oil came up for a vote ("Drill Here, Drill Now" campaign), the Dems wholeheartedly supported and passed it, after seeing the opinion polls revealing that the VAST majority of citizens supported it - then, after they got re-elected, they rescinded it?? Does anyone recall this?
That may be a memory of one of those hoax -mails going around, but I am pretty certain it is NOT....
- at any rate - where's the outrage that "Drill Here, Drill Now" has not become the foundation of our energy policy? Besides the Dem's pulling their usual "go ahead and lie, the media will protect us" modus operandi, the Greens are WELL entrenched in this administration, and are assisting in the destruction of our country.

That is but ONE example of the special interest groups running the liberals - actually, the SOCIALISTS - that call themselves Democrats, who are corrupt to the root -
How many Dems are currently under investigation for various illegal activities?
Why did William Jefferson keep his job and seat on the Ways and Means committee - when the FBI had him accepting bribe money ON TAPE?!?
How does Pelosi get away with her "private jet" shenanigans?
How does B. Hussein get away with spending about $330K for the NYC flyover?
How did so many tax-cheats get approved for their appointed positions in this Administration?
How does B. Hussein get away with so many lies (hiring of lobbyists, tax increases, Global Warming, socializing the banks and auto industry, etc.)?

The Mainstream Media is so clearly in the bag for these America-Hating arses, and the American people seem to be SLOWLY starting to hold them accountable for their blatant partisanship (ref: Look at the financial trouble the media is in!) - but we now hear rumor of print-media bailouts ON OUR DIME, as well as Censorship of both talk radio and the Internet - and even if the Republicans had the spine or the will to resist the total destruction of our country, they haven't the votes to stop ANY of this!!! (Thanks, Specter) -

Where does that leave us? I personally send 10-20 e-mails / faxes every week, and call my elected officials once/month. We have TWO votes in the Senate, and two Representatives....CA has 53 representatives, how can we make ANY difference?
Despite feeling that we've no voice, I shall continue to press my representatives and Senators as hard as I can, and will also continue to support groups such as this one. It would be nice to know how many groups of this nature are out there fighting the same fight - I think it would give me - perhaps all of us? - more hope that we have the power to enact change....before it's too late, and the statist thugs are knocking on our doors, are in our homes, and the re-education camps are being constructed!

Excellent post. It is time for we, the people, to expose all of the corruption and treason in Washington. In doing so, perhaps we can begin to restore harmony in our country. We must empower ourselves to put fear back into our government.
