ABC News teams up with left-wing open-borders groups to attack Patriot organizations

newscasts, ABC’s San Diego station takes aim at a local Minutemen group inferring they are dangerous and hateful. The repeated stories offer no proof or legal cases that substantiate their claim.
The recent segments only offer conjecture and speculation regarding the San Diego Minutemen who just won a large settlement from CalTrans in a discrimination lawsuit over the adopt-a-highway program.
Instead of covering the resolution of this national Constitutional case, Channel 10 News quoted two local illegal immigrant activists and used their old, baseless allegations.
In an “I-Team Investigation” on supposed hate groups located in San Diego which ran the evening of Aug 14. Channel 10 News claimed to have evidence of increased hate crimes and hate groups in San Diego County. They showed a black man whose van was allegedly graffitied by a white teenager. No other evidence is given of any “hate crimes.”
The continued bias comes from Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) attorney James McElroy. In the August 14th TV report McElroy says, “In my opinion Jeff Schwilk is a dangerous fellow and any group he is associated with should be considered a hate group.”

8-26-09 Local 2544 delegates are currently attending the AFGE convention in Reno, Nevada. During the opening day of the Convention (8-24-09), the following was witnessed by Border Patrol agents in attendance:
AFGE District 12 National Vice President (NVP) Eugene Hudson decided that he wanted a seat on the Convention floor occupied by National Border Patrol Council President TJ Bonner. The seat was not reserved for anyone, but apparently Hudson felt he was entitled to sit there. Hudson told Bonner to give him the seat. Bonner refused, and Hudson responded by grabbing Bonner around the throat. Bonner did nothing to retaliate and Hudson was restrained by others.
Hudson was subsequently arrested and charged with criminal assault/battery.

NVP Hudson can be seen sitting in the background (bald head with glasses).A large majority of delegates voted to expel Hudson from the Convention and to stop his pay, but AFGE found a way around the vote, and Hudson will return to the Convention floor on Friday.-09 update: We are looking into allegations that NVP Hudson made the statement in a meeting, "Any local who stood against me will pay dearly."

Diebold sells off voting-machine arm
CANTON — ATM maker Diebold Inc. has sold its much-criticized U.S. voting-machine business to its bigger competitor, Election Systems & Software Inc. of Omaha, Neb.
Diebold, based in North Canton, announced the sale of its Allen, Texas-based subsidiary Premier Election Solutions Inc. on Thursday and said it will get $5 million plus payments representing 70 percent of collections of the unit's accounts receivable as of Aug. 31.

Tucson copper company Asarco LLC should be returned to its owner, a subsidiary of Grupo Mexico, as it emerges from bankruptcy, a judge decided Monday.
The opinion, which now must be considered by a U.S. district judge, sets the stage for a possible strike by the United Steelworkers, the union representing about 1,400 of Asarco's approximately 2,500 employees. Union members have approved a strike if the Mexican conglomerate resumes control of Asarco.
The decision is also sure to disappoint the current management of Asarco, which fought against Grupo Mexico's attempt to retake the company and for a competing proposal by India-based Sterlite Industries.

Patrol: Permanent I-19 checkpoint is necessary though not desirable

GREEN VALLEY — A permanent Border Patrol checkpoint along Interstate 19 is not something the agency desires but is required to help control illegal immigration and drug smuggling, the Tucson Sector's top official said Wednesday.
"A checkpoint is not something we want, but we've identified it as something we need," sector chief Robert Gilbert said. "In a perfect environment, we would secure the border at the border."

Opponents of a proposed permanent Border Patrol checkpoint on Interstate 19 have seized upon a federal report as proof that such an inspection station would be ineffective. However, the report says nothing of the kind and indicates there's still no way to measure how well checkpoints work because of insufficient data.
In short, the report from the Government Accountability Office, the investigative arm of Congress, is useless for determining whether permanent checkpoints are efficient or effective.

Mexican buses enter US unchecked

WASHINGTON — Some Mexican passenger buses are not being inspected when they enter the U.S. because they cross the border on evenings and weekends, there are no inspectors or the crossings lack safe places for inspections, says a government audit made public Wednesday.
The report also cited inconsistent reporting of traffic convictions of Mexico-licensed drivers by Arizona and other border states.
Daily bus inspections were not being conducted at border crossings at Calexico and San Ysidro in California and Laredo and McAllen-Hidalgo Bridge in Texas, the Transportation Department's inspector general's office said in its report. ...
The inspector general said Arizona reported only 66 convictions for January through September 2008, compared with 229 in 2007.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association said the lower conviction reporting could be attributed to budget cuts, court noncompliance and drops in commercial driving. Feds are real borderland scofflaws

For the next year, border humanitarian Walt Staton will spend his Saturdays picking up trash. He'll also have regular check-ins with a probation officer, who will make sure he doesn't set foot on the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge, from which he's been banished.
Thirteen additional No More Deaths border humanitarians accused of littering will be arraigned today.
It is true that environmental destruction along the U.S.-Mexico border has run rampant lately, causing serious, perhaps irreparable, harm to the fragile ecosystems of the borderlands. However, neither Staton's upcoming year of toil, nor the hearings, jury trial or sentencing in federal court that he endured bring us any closer to environmental justice on the border.
They got the wrong guy....

3 billion barrels possible in Gulf of Mexico oil find

BP, Europe's second-largest oil company, reported a "giant" discovery at the Tiber Prospect in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico that may contain more than 3 billion barrels, after drilling the world's deepest exploration well.
The well is about 250 miles southeast of Houston, the London-based company said Wednesday. It was drilled to approximately 35,055 feet, greater than the height of Mount Everest. It's the biggest U.S. oil find in three years.

National Guard tightens recruiting

Under pressure from the Pentagon to trim its ranks, the Guard has been quietly phasing in new restrictions that make it harder to enlist."To get in now, you have to be the cream of the crop," said Sgt. 1st Class Brian Clum, a recruiter in Ohio...
But there are suspicions inside the Guard and out that the reductions are part of an effort to shift the burden of fighting overseas onto the active-duty Army and ease the public outcry over the way that Guard units — part-time soldiers normally called into action during hurricanes and other disasters at home — have been sent on long, repeated combat tours in Iraq.....
Also, the Guard stopped forgiving potential recruits for offenses such as theft, assault, driving under the influence or chronic lawbreaking. And it stopped issuing medical waivers, which allowed recruits to be admitted despite health problems as serious as an extreme food allergy and as minor as a painful bout of acne.

It was the third attack on a drug treatment center in Ciudad Juarez. Chihuahua state authorities said Thursday they were investigating reports that the centers have turned into hideouts for drug smugglers being sought by police and hit men from rival gangs.

WASHINGTON — The Labor Department is trying again to roll back Bush administration regulations that made it easier for farmers to hire temporary foreign farmworkers.
The agency on Thursday said it is proposing new rules that would boost wages and increase safeguards for thousands of seasonal workers brought in each year to help farmers pick their crops. It would also require that growers make greater efforts to fill those jobs with American workers.

Man sought in 1997 homicide is arrested, Gilbert police say

GILBERT — Police say a man wanted in a 1997 homicide has been arrested after a traffic stop in Gilbert.
Wenceslado Estrada-Pasaye, 41, is being held at the Maricopa County jail in lieu of $1.6 million bail, authorities said.

SIERRA VISTA — National health-care reform brought a standing-room-only and sometimes rowdy crowd of mostly senior citizens to Buena High School here Monday.
About 1,300 people gathered to share their often-heated views on proposed health-care legislation with U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., who was simultaneously booed and cheered by the crowd.

Two plead guilty to running drop house
Two Mexican nationals who held dozens of illegal immigrants hostage in a south-side drop house earlier this year have been sentenced to 14 and 12 years in federal prison.
Victor Sauceda-Parra, 34, was sentenced to 14 years and 36-year-old Jaime Figueroa-Lopez was sentenced to 12 years for their role in an incident March 31 in the 800 block of West Valencia Road, near South 12th Avenue, according to a news release issued by the U.S. Attorney's Office. Both were sentenced last week.
Tucson police officers responded to a report that more than 30 illegal immigrants were being held by men carrying AK-47 rifles, the release said.
Inside the house officers found 31 people, who told police they had been kept there between four and 15 days after their original fee of $1,000 to $1,500 to be smuggled into the U.S. had been raised to $2,800 per person, according to the release.
Sauceda-Parra, Figueroa-Lopez and three other men were arrested and charged in a 22-count indictment handed up in April.
Sauceda-Parra, Figueroa-Lopez and 35-year-old Jesus Manuel Quinones-Camacho entered plea agreements in May, with Quinones-Camacho's sentencing scheduled for Sept. 17 before U.S. District Judge Frank Zapata.
The cases against Paulino Rios-Ledesma, 41, and Martin Chavarin-Serrano, 44, are still pending.
Douglas teen arrested with 500 lbs. of pot
A 17-year-old Douglas boy was arrested Friday after authorities caught him with more than 500 pounds of marijuana.
The seizure occurred at approximately 10 p.m. at the Douglas port of entry.
Customs and Border Protection officers became suspicious of a Dodge Dakota being driven by the teen, according to a news release.
Officers noticed a discrepancy in the truck bed, leading to further inspection that revealed a secret compartment.
The drugs and the truck were seized.
The boy was turned over to his parents pending a court summons before a federal magistrate, the news release said.

Less than one year ago, on Nov. 8, 2008, Marcelo Lucero, an Ecuadorian immigrant, was murdered in the town of Patchogue, N.Y. The killing, police say, was carried out by a gang of teenagers who called themselves the Caucasian Crew and targeted Latino residents as part of a sport they termed "beaner-hopping." It highlighted a growing national problem — violent hatred directed at all suspected undocumented immigrants, Latinos in particular. Guatemala’s National Immigration Agency reported that Mexican immigration officials expelled 43,365 Central Americans by land between January 2nd and August 24 of this year. It’s not genetic, but at times it would almost seem so. It would be simply incomprehensible in other latitudes. I’m talking about the Mexicans’ infinite capacity for destruction. It reaches across all social sectors, it’s not regional nor does it improve with the level of education. It’s up north, in the south, in the low, medium and high income residential areas. It’s done by those in and out of government. It’s a chronic disease. Children who throw rocks at birds, farmers who shoot herons and eagles simply for amusement, women who mistreat public outdoor furniture, youths who damage the seats of the subway or bus where they’ll have to sit again. Benches of the classrooms that become play projectiles, commodes detroyed by kicks even though the aggressor himself needs them. Urban vandalism is quite well known, but that attitude is dramatic in relation to the environment. Newly planted trees that get a stomping, an infinity of garbage that everyone dumps even in the parks and forests, in the lakes and seas. He who comes, let him deal with it, let him clean up and pay for the repairs of the damage, if that is possible. Destruction is an individual act tolerated by all. The damage will be repaired at the cost of the community. As if natural riches had no limit, we use them, we exploit them to the maximum, with great shortsightedness, without caring about the consequences to come. Let us think about the bays, for example. The one in Acapulco was fantastic, it was the pride of our country. Today it’s contaminated, dirty, in a deplorable condition. Other countries would give anything for a place such as Manzanillo. But in Mexico we allow ourselves the luxury of locating auto service stations that dump oil and gasoline in those waters. Vallarta is not much better. It’s thought that there are other bays to exploit, as if they were infinite. Instead of preserving the ones we do have we think about something new, as if they were disposable.

Honduran immigration agents “surprised” a group of eight undocumented Somalis walking along the Pan American highway a few kilometers past the border inspection station at Guasaule, Honduras. New figures released by police forces across Britain have shown that 20 percent of all murders last year were committed by recent immigrants born in other countries.
The figures do not include murders committed by the children of immigrants, as in the knife crime plague in London which is almost exclusively a second or third generation black phenomenon.
If the recent immigrant murder rate is added to the second generation immigrant murder rate, the immigrant murder rate would be far higher, possibly even as much as half of all murders in this country.

ABC News teams up with left-wing open-borders groups to attack Patriot organizations

newscasts, ABC’s San Diego station takes aim at a local Minutemen group inferring they are dangerous and hateful. The repeated stories offer no proof or legal cases that substantiate their claim.
The recent segments only offer conjecture and speculation regarding the San Diego Minutemen who just won a large settlement from CalTrans in a discrimination lawsuit over the adopt-a-highway program.
Instead of covering the resolution of this national Constitutional case, Channel 10 News quoted two local illegal immigrant activists and used their old, baseless allegations.
In an “I-Team Investigation” on supposed hate groups located in San Diego which ran the evening of Aug 14. Channel 10 News claimed to have evidence of increased hate crimes and hate groups in San Diego County. They showed a black man whose van was allegedly graffitied by a white teenager. No other evidence is given of any “hate crimes.”
The continued bias comes from Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) attorney James McElroy. In the August 14th TV report McElroy says, “In my opinion Jeff Schwilk is a dangerous fellow and any group he is associated with should be considered a hate group.”

AFGE District 12 National Vice President (NVP) Eugene Hudson decided that he wanted a seat on the Convention floor occupied by National Border Patrol Council President TJ Bonner. The seat was not reserved for anyone, but apparently Hudson felt he was entitled to sit there. Hudson told Bonner to give him the seat. Bonner refused, and Hudson responded by grabbing Bonner around the throat. Bonner did nothing to retaliate and Hudson was restrained by others.
Hudson was subsequently arrested and charged with criminal assault/battery.

NVP Hudson can be seen sitting in the background (bald head with glasses).A large majority of delegates voted to expel Hudson from the Convention and to stop his pay, but AFGE found a way around the vote, and Hudson will return to the Convention floor on Friday.-09 update: We are looking into allegations that NVP Hudson made the statement in a meeting, "Any local who stood against me will pay dearly."

Diebold sells off voting-machine arm
CANTON — ATM maker Diebold Inc. has sold its much-criticized U.S. voting-machine business to its bigger competitor, Election Systems & Software Inc. of Omaha, Neb.
Diebold, based in North Canton, announced the sale of its Allen, Texas-based subsidiary Premier Election Solutions Inc. on Thursday and said it will get $5 million plus payments representing 70 percent of collections of the unit's accounts receivable as of Aug. 31.

Tucson copper company Asarco LLC should be returned to its owner, a subsidiary of Grupo Mexico, as it emerges from bankruptcy, a judge decided Monday.
The opinion, which now must be considered by a U.S. district judge, sets the stage for a possible strike by the United Steelworkers, the union representing about 1,400 of Asarco's approximately 2,500 employees. Union members have approved a strike if the Mexican conglomerate resumes control of Asarco.
The decision is also sure to disappoint the current management of Asarco, which fought against Grupo Mexico's attempt to retake the company and for a competing proposal by India-based Sterlite Industries.

Opponents of a proposed permanent Border Patrol checkpoint on Interstate 19 have seized upon a federal report as proof that such an inspection station would be ineffective. However, the report says nothing of the kind and indicates there's still no way to measure how well checkpoints work because of insufficient data.
In short, the report from the Government Accountability Office, the investigative arm of Congress, is useless for determining whether permanent checkpoints are efficient or effective.

Mexican buses enter US unchecked

WASHINGTON — Some Mexican passenger buses are not being inspected when they enter the U.S. because they cross the border on evenings and weekends, there are no inspectors or the crossings lack safe places for inspections, says a government audit made public Wednesday.
The report also cited inconsistent reporting of traffic convictions of Mexico-licensed drivers by Arizona and other border states.
Daily bus inspections were not being conducted at border crossings at Calexico and San Ysidro in California and Laredo and McAllen-Hidalgo Bridge in Texas, the Transportation Department's inspector general's office said in its report. ...
The inspector general said Arizona reported only 66 convictions for January through September 2008, compared with 229 in 2007.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association said the lower conviction reporting could be attributed to budget cuts, court noncompliance and drops in commercial driving. For the next year, border humanitarian Walt Staton will spend his Saturdays picking up trash. He'll also have regular check-ins with a probation officer, who will make sure he doesn't set foot on the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge, from which he's been banished.
Thirteen additional No More Deaths border humanitarians accused of littering will be arraigned today.
It is true that environmental destruction along the U.S.-Mexico border has run rampant lately, causing serious, perhaps irreparable, harm to the fragile ecosystems of the borderlands. However, neither Staton's upcoming year of toil, nor the hearings, jury trial or sentencing in federal court that he endured bring us any closer to environmental justice on the border.
They got the wrong guy....

3 billion barrels possible in Gulf of Mexico oil find

BP, Europe's second-largest oil company, reported a "giant" discovery at the Tiber Prospect in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico that may contain more than 3 billion barrels, after drilling the world's deepest exploration well.
The well is about 250 miles southeast of Houston, the London-based company said Wednesday. It was drilled to approximately 35,055 feet, greater than the height of Mount Everest. It's the biggest U.S. oil find in three years.

National Guard tightens recruiting

But there are suspicions inside the Guard and out that the reductions are part of an effort to shift the burden of fighting overseas onto the active-duty Army and ease the public outcry over the way that Guard units — part-time soldiers normally called into action during hurricanes and other disasters at home — have been sent on long, repeated combat tours in Iraq.....
Also, the Guard stopped forgiving potential recruits for offenses such as theft, assault, driving under the influence or chronic lawbreaking. Wenceslado Estrada-Pasaye, 41, is being held at the Maricopa County jail in lieu of $1.6 million bail, authorities said.

Two plead guilty to running drop house
Two Mexican nationals who held dozens of illegal immigrants hostage in a south-side drop house earlier this year have been sentenced to 14 and 12 years in federal prison.
Victor Sauceda-Parra, 34, was sentenced to 14 years and 36-year-old Jaime Figueroa-Lopez was sentenced to 12 years for their role in an incident March 31 in the 800 block of West Valencia Road, near South 12th Avenue, according to a news release issued by the U.S. Attorney's Office. Both were sentenced last week.
Tucson police officers responded to a report that more than 30 illegal immigrants were being held by men carrying AK-47 rifles, the release said.
Inside the house officers found 31 people, who told police they had been kept there between four and 15 days after their original fee of $1,000 to $1,500 to be smuggled into the U.S. had been raised to $2,800 per person, according to the release.
Sauceda-Parra, Figueroa-Lopez and three other men were arrested and charged in a 22-count indictment handed up in April.
Sauceda-Parra, Figueroa-Lopez and 35-year-old Jesus Manuel Quinones-Camacho entered plea agreements in May, with Quinones-Camacho's sentencing scheduled for Sept. 17 before U.S. District Judge Frank Zapata.
The cases against Paulino Rios-Ledesma, 41, and Martin Chavarin-Serrano, 44, are still pending.
Douglas teen arrested with 500 lbs. of pot
A 17-year-old Douglas boy was arrested Friday after authorities caught him with more than 500 pounds of marijuana.
The seizure occurred at approximately 10 p.m. at the Douglas port of entry.
Customs and Border Protection officers became suspicious of a Dodge Dakota being driven by the teen, according to a news release.

PHOENIX — The state Republican chairman called Wednesday for investigations of whether Attorney General Terry Goddard and a Democratic legislative leader violated Arizona's resign-to-run law by saying they intend to run for other offices.
The 1980 voter-approved law requires elected officials to step down if they formally declare candidacies for another elective office before their current term's final year.
Republican Chairman Randy Pullen said statements by Goddard and Rep. Kyrsten Sinema of Phoenix cross the line and warrant appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate.

I just saw the next "Census" intake sheet. Several sections JUST FOR "HIAPANICS" . Dont get me wrong. I actually have some "Hispanics" ( Legal and entered the right and proper way ) in my family. No specific section for a majority of American citizens. When I asked about the Maryland census intake sheet I was told its to make sure Maryland gets FEDERAL TAX DOLLARS ( thats ALL of YOU ) to help to pay for the large illegal immigrant community. Thats why they said this is in the intake sheet is set up the way it is. Maybe its like this all over the country this year ? . That all, including ALL illegal immigrants will be counted to get Federal Tax dollars to pay for them. Now, as most of you know, Governor Martin OMalley is VERY VERY VERY supportive of illegal immigrants. Links have been found between the OMalley clan and CASA of Maryland ( a group that is TAX PAID the supportes Illegal immigrants with jobs, housing, Drivers liscense and classes how to avoid detection and how to delay deportation if actually caught ). Thats right, CASA gets over a million dollars a year in direct aid and support including a newly restored expensive building and several day labor sites. Paid for with TAX DOLLARS. Also, the Governor OMalley clan are draggung their feet on REAL ID and continue to do ANYTHING possible to make sure illegal immigrants receive Maryland ( Legal US ID cards ) drivers license so that they can also apply for other tax paid and US benefits and the GREAT cost of US Citizens and legal residents. Less than one year ago, on Nov. 8, 2008, Marcelo Lucero, an Ecuadorian immigrant, was murdered in the town of Patchogue, N.Y. The killing, police say, was carried out by a gang of teenagers who called themselves the Caucasian Crew and targeted Latino residents as part of a sport they termed "beaner-hopping." It highlighted a growing national problem — violent hatred directed at all suspected undocumented immigrants, Latinos in particular. Officials in Suffolk County, N.Y., where Patchogue is located, minimized the tragedy, with the county executive even suggesting that it would have been a mere "one-day story" if not for earlier publicity about his and other residents' anti-immigrant activism over the prior decade.

Guatemala’s National Immigration Agency reported that Mexican immigration officials expelled 43,365 Central Americans by land between January 2nd and August 24 of this year. It’s not genetic, but at times it would almost seem so. It would be simply incomprehensible in other latitudes. It’s up north, in the south, in the low, medium and high income residential areas. It’s done by those in and out of government. It’s a chronic disease. Children who throw rocks at birds, farmers who shoot herons and eagles simply for amusement, women who mistreat public outdoor furniture, youths who damage the seats of the subway or bus where they’ll have to sit again. Benches of the classrooms that become play projectiles, commodes detroyed by kicks even though the aggressor himself needs them. Urban vandalism is quite well known, but that attitude is dramatic in relation to the environment. Newly planted trees that get a stomping, an infinity of garbage that everyone dumps even in the parks and forests, in the lakes and seas. He who comes, let him deal with it, let him clean up and pay for the repairs of the damage, if that is possible. Destruction is an individual act tolerated by all. The damage will be repaired at the cost of the community. As if natural riches had no limit, we use them, we exploit them to the maximum, with great shortsightedness, without caring about the consequences to come. Let us think about the bays, for example. The one in Acapulco was fantastic, it was the pride of our country. Today it’s contaminated, dirty, in a deplorable condition. Other countries would give anything for a place such as Manzanillo. But in Mexico we allow ourselves the luxury of locating auto service stations that dump oil and gasoline in those waters. Vallarta is not much better. It’s thought that there are other bays to exploit, as if they were infinite. Instead of preserving the ones we do have we think about something new, as if they were disposable.

Honduran immigration agents “surprised” a group of eight undocumented Somalis walking along the Pan American highway a few kilometers past the border inspection station at Guasaule, Honduras. New figures released by police forces across Britain have shown that 20 percent of all murders last year were committed by recent immigrants born in other countries.
The figures do not include murders committed by the children of immigrants, as in the knife crime plague in London which is almost exclusively a second or third generation black phenomenon.
If the recent immigrant murder rate is added to the second generation immigrant murder rate, the immigrant murder rate would be far higher, possibly even as much as half of all murders in this country.
