On behalf of the 57 million Americans who did not vote for President-Elect Obama and do not agree with this leftist ideology, we announced our resistance to Obama's efforts to move our nation away from our heritage of individual liberties toward “brave new world” of collectivism. We will not roll over -- we will resist.

But just as important as the fact that we will resist is how we will resist. That is why we are calling this a “Patriotic, Resilient, Conservative Resistance.”

A Patriotic Resistance
First, we will maintain our patriotism. This is our nation. We love and cherish our country. Many of us bleed “red, white and blue.” We will not act like our opponents who heaped personal attack after personal attack on President George W. Bush and demonized the man. In fact, we will strive to show respect to President-Elect Obama and focus our criticisms and resistance on issues that impact our nation.

Similarly, we will not, like our opponents, reject Barack Obama’s Presidency and dismiss it as somehow unjust, immoral or illegitimate. It is disgraceful that many of our opponents would never accept Bush as a legitimate President. It is despicable that the person who lost the 2000 election could still be heard, in 2008, questioning the legitimacy of that election. Conservatives have too much respect for the Office of the Presidency. Conservatives are not rebellious – we understand authority. This will be a patriotic resistance – a struggle of ideas that will stay with our American “family”.

A Resilient Resistance
Second, we will be resilient. From Day One, we will be there, watching every move, monitoring every action. We will not be chided into silence by the personal attacks on conservatives, our leaders or our motives. We will stand for principle. And we will not back down.

A Conservative Resistance
Third, this will be a Conservative Resistance. Our resistance will not be partisan, it will be ideological. The real political struggle underway is one of a clash of worldviews—collective liberalism and freedom-based conservatism. We are not here to fight for the Republican Party to take over once again – certainly not the Republican Party that failed so miserably on so many fronts in recent years. We will resist on the basis of ideas alone, not political games. We have been stripped of our political authority which actually frees us to stand on principle first and foremost.

We need to "question boldly" as Glenn Beck has said. Then we need to "hold to the truth" whatever it is, and "speak without fear". When we do those things we will be able to take our Republic back from those who would destroy the Constitution and the rights given to us in it. I find it hard to respect a man who has communists and socialist as his close personal advisors. I will respect the "office of president" , however. The people of the USA MUST begin to see what is happening to our country. We MUST wake people up!

Any of us teabaggers "respecting" the IRS enough to comply with a nationwide sweep? Cuz it's happening...right now...Circle the wagons with like-minded patriots soon.

One of the statements that stuck out to me in this Strategy Overview was "Conservatives are not rebellious – we understand authority." I interpret this to mean work within the current political process to effect change through elections and influencing elected officials. This is noble and wise. But I'm beginning to doubt whether in the long run the approach alone will be effective. It was not in the first Revolution.

I have just one major Qustion for the ZGrassfire movement and those who would try to limit our rights as citizens of the United States. My Question is Does the Constitution give us the right to throw out the goverment that no longer represents the people. Why do you think that we have the right to keep and bare arms,- for what purpose can we use arms -fun; -sport; -food; personal protectrion, prevent terrioisum, prevnt goverment take over; Just what say you on this 2nd ammendment rights. Should every citizen practice the right given under the 2nd amendment

The Congress is trying to pass a bill to destroy talk radio and free speech on the Internet -the Republicans as far as I can see are not calling this what it is - an assault on the Bill of Rights - Obama's "justice department" let the Black Panthers who literally kept people from voting get off scott free - how can you resist that? We should be staging sit-ins in Washington,State goverments and at NBC,ABC and CBS - who do not report the truth - it is time to employ the same tactics that the Left has been doing -the only way we can get heard or reported (that may not even work-but if we have enough numbers they cannot ignore us)

What are we planning to do on the 4th of July of this year? I am looking forward to a march on the Capitol especially all us VETS who have given time in service and many have risked and even given their lives defending our country and the Constitution. Yes, maybe Ms. Napolitano should have a concern about us Vets -- however we are not terrorists, but on the other hand we will not roll over to the Obama Socialist (Communist) machine which is just the same as taking away our FREEDOMS! I am willing to work with others in Montgomery County, Kansas to seek other volunteers, hire a bus, and make a cheap dash to DC for this event. I can't wait for the whole bunch of us storming Obama's, Polosi and Reid's offices with loud verbal outrage and with all kinds of signs. No this suggested event is not being organized by Bill O'Reilly, Fox news, or Rush Limbaugh. No this is just a bunch of MAD VETS, local citizens, men and women, and teenagers from all political parties that are just plain feed-up with Obama’s vision of “CHANGE"!

Obama has not shown respect for American ideals in his first 100 days in office. We have seen repeatedly that he does not truly have America's best interests in mind, and in fact has endangered every single American life with his release of secret CIA memos, and by bringing the war on terror to a standstill.

If America is to survive the next 4 years we need to actively show our patriotic resistance to Obama and his policies, not just blog and chat on the internet. This is great to bring people together and exchange ideas and views, but we need to do more.

Send regular emails to your Congressmen, Senators, and the President telling them that "We, the People" do not approve of their actions, and we are not going away. Do not let them rest for a minute thinking they are pulling the wool over our eyes, or that we are just going to sit back and take it.

The Tax Day Tea Parties were a great idea, and we need to make sure they were just the beginning of a movement to get America back for "We, the People". We need to stay resolute in our actions, and not fade away into the background. We need to put our blood, sweat, and tears into this to ensure that our children and grandchildren have a free country in the future.

"Honor, justice, and humanity forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we received from our gallant ancestors, and which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us". --Thomas Jefferson

God bless America, and may God save our great country.

While I am in agreement that we should respect the presidential office, I find it absolutely incongruous that I must respect wholly, a man who is in favor of partial birth abortion. A man, to be respected, must show himself respectable. President, Senator, Congressman, whoever supports partial birth abortion does in no way command my respect. By their works ye shall know them.

As a former military man, I learned pretty early on the difference between respecting the person and the rank of that person. We do not have to turn the other cheek to be civil. That (turning the other cheek) is way out of context anyway. It refers only to being persecuted for Christ's name, nothing else. So many misguided Christians think it means we're supposed to lay down for everything. Jesus himself said we were to sell our clothing, if need be, to buy swords to defend ourselves. He also taught that a man who would not protect his family was worse than an infidel. Obama is my President now, whether I like it or not. I honor the office and will fight the policies of the man who occupies it to my last breath. I will pray for him and that I don't have to; that he changes his mind and moves away from the course he's set (more correctly, that his handlers have set). While I don't expect that to happen, I also know that with God, all things are possible. Including returning our country to the place our founders envisioned, the "Shining City Upon a Hill" Ronald Reagan spoke of. The one I grew up in and the one I'd like back for my grandkids.
