Don't Let Their Loss Be In Vain-Freedom Friday

Today I would like to honor our fellow Americans who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 to a radical and evil force. To some, the war is over and 9/11 is forgotten. To those who lost mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, husbands, wives, grandparents, and friends, it is still very real and vivid. To those who were there and survived it, they remember it almost on a daily basis. To honor those who lost their lives on that fateful day we must not let it be forgotten. We must also press on and continue to fight the war on terrorism, the war against radical Islam. If the death of our loved ones and our fellow Americans, that we may have never met, is not going to be in vain, then we must prevent another attack. We must keep the evil out of our beloved country. If you believe for one second that there will be no attempt of another attack you are misled and uninformed. I highly suggest you do some research for yourself. Start reading about what radical Islam is, what their goals are, and who they hate. You can start with viewing Obsession, which is an insider's view of the hatred that radicals are teaching. In this 72 minute film you realize that radical Islam is driven by a religiously motivated rejection of western, or American values, culture, and religion. You will see that it is participating in multiple arenas of strategic planing to overcome the western world...America. Their goal is to fly their flag above the White House. My dear friends, this threat is very real and very far from over. I say these things not to alarm or scare you, but to call your attention to a group of people that are intelligent, resourceful and determined. They are finding ways to infiltrate America. This is the scariest part. 9/11 was just a precursor. What you may be unaware of is that they already have groups here, embedded in the United States. They are working to recruit our own citizens and transform them, first spiritually, then radically. They are utilizing our jail and prison systems to reach those who are susceptible and weak in mind and spirit. They are reaching out to those who feel no connection to family, friends, church, or society.
What can we, as individuals do? We can begin by first of all becoming informed and learning about our enemy and their tactics. We must make sure that we are secure in our own faith and character before doing so. Exposing yourself to such strong and radical beliefs can leave impressions on the mind, so you have be strong and have a good support system. We need to examine our own spiritual maturity and strength. We must find out where we stand with God and make a decision. We are at war and we did not call it. Radical Islam called it, Jihad. They have already made the first major move, 9/11. We made the second move in Iraq and Afghanistan. Who will make the next move? Don't you think the plans have already been created? They are waiting for the perfect opportunity, when we are weak, unaware, and feuding amongst ourselves. So, we need to strengthen ourselves. We need to reconnect with our family values and systems. Strengthening the family unit will encourage self worth and confidence for individuals and youth; therefore, preventing them to search elsewhere for connection and unity. We must strengthen our churches and church families. We must reunite as congregations and hold one another accountable. We must encourage each other to grow spiritually and strengthen our foundation. We must reach out to the community as we never have. It is imperative that we strengthen our congregations as well. We must support and carry our church staff and leaders. Then we need to reach out to our neighbors of other faiths. We need to unite as Americans regardless of faith. We need to work together in strengthening our communities putting aside the technicalities of religion and using our common ground of faith in God and country. This is a spiritual war and we must fight with spiritual warfare. You would not go to battle on the sea without a ship. I ask you, will you let your fellow Americans death be in vain? Will you allow this radical Islamic group filled with hatred for our country, hatred of our belief in God, and hatred of our freedom enter our land and attempt to take that away? It starts with you. It starts with your family. We are turning ourselves over by allowing our nation to crumble. We are losing sight of the foundation we were built on. The good news is, it is not too late. Seek the truth and determine what you will do with that truth.
