All of us in the patriot movement agree it is necessary to reach out and get more people to join us. I've heard lots of ideas from individual tea party action plans to extensive classes on the constitution.

Stepping back and looking at this, we should remember who we may be able to reach. These are people who are hard working and have usually got a fairly full life. They receive a lot of emails, and are rushed for time.

We have probably 2-3 minutes to capture a busy person's attention. So, what is the answer when the average person is not only busy, but completely inundated with communication from cells, twitter, facebook ok, television, media, etc.?

Perhaps the answer is to deliver very, very short facts that grab their attention and make them want more. I began to think about recent rallys and meetings. What did I remember? I remembered that every illegal immigrant who gave birth in our hospitals cost approximately $6,000. This may seem simple, but try the exercise for yourself. What do we remember from our many efforts? It is usually the most shocking, simple facts.

My suggestion is we simply publish simple facts each day to a wide variety of people. At a minimum, you will probably pique their interest. And in the best cases, we will have someone who wants to know more and get involved.

These were a few of my thoughts today. How can we reach more people? What else is possible?

Good points Sharon, it's true that most people just don't have alot
of time to get envolved. They may be curious about what they hear,
but they just don't have the time to go searching for the answers.

Here's something I've been doing lately, and it seems to be working:
I have several friends that email me on a regular basis, usually with
jokes or things of that nature. I forward those emails to my friends,
with a short note and link to a site that I recommend they visit.

Their friends in turn forward all of this to their friends and in a few days,
the whole thing has gone viral.

One of the reasons that this works is that these people will open their
emails more readily because they are used to having their friends
send them jokes, etc. and many will read and click the link I have
put in there.

Try this sometime, you never know who's curiosity you may pique!
