Absolutely unacceptable. If they love Mexico so much why are they here? Is it the streets that don't smell like sewers? No, it's the government handouts they love so much. Despicable!

My biggest concern about the Obama presidency and or the leftist agenda is?
he is a much easier handled puppet than most of the previous ones, and we are too far gone to have so little resistance on our side.

Quit calling us that...

The difference between a democracy and a dictatorship is that in a democracy you vote first and take orders later; in a dictatorship you don't have to waste your time voting.
-- Charles Bukowski

Thank GOD we are in a Republic!

I think it should be noted, being I hear over, and over that we are a democracy. I would like to know when, where, and how it happened? Maybe its just ignorance? Maybe people in America have just gone with what the news tells them? Well how bout a little lesson..… Continue

Question and answer

Everyone should copy these questions down, and put them on a blank sheet, take a little time to reflect on how you feel, and answer them for yourself. It will either give you a little confidence, or use share your outlook with others. If you have a list like the one below, spread it around, it may bring new light to others who may not have thought that far ahead.

Most people will say the answers I have for the questions below are socially unacceptable, irresponsible, and “crazy”. I hone… Continue

The only thing I have to say in response is that, as a nation, we have allowed our leaders to legislate away many of our rights under the guise of "law". And Homeland Security and TSA regs are just a recent and fresh example of that. Once more, the government is trying to legislate away our right to arms for self-defense and militia, our right to determine how and where our money is spent, etc.

And I also agree with you, that our rights are not BECAUSE of the Bill of Rights or the Constitution or Declaration, but are God-given and ennumerated in the above mentioned documents so there won't be any question as to what they are.

Hope you had a good weekend....

off and running....

Dewey,

Our government?? Lie?? Perish the thought! (Tongue in cheek ;-P )

I completely understand about revisionist history! A prime example is the way the War of Northern Aggression (aka the War between the States aka the American Civil War, about which there was nothing civil) is taught by ALL states from grade one. It is not hard, however, t find books/documents/etc which expose the fabrications foisted on our children regarding that conflict, nor is it difficult to find reprints of original documents/letters/journals/diaries from that time that paint a very different picture.

Along the lines of your contention about licenses, we should, as a free people, be able to travel anywhere within the US as US citizens by air without being subjected to search by TSA. BUT we know where that stands now, don't we? Anytime we give up a right, the government never gives it back....

Sorry, ya got my militant dander up... ;-)

All that being said, now that I am aware of what you are presenting, I would be most interested in reading anything that supports this premise from a historical perspective. I have found that when you can get your hands on reprints of period writings relevant to a topic, it certainly helps in understanding/researching/lending credence to what ever you are after.

If I find anything from either side of the discussion, I'll let you know/ask about it. Don't be suprised if it takes me a while. Kind of caught up in a lot of the current political scene and doing a LOT of congressional/presidential/cabinet writing.

Even writing a note of apology to the British Prime Minister via his ambassador in DC.

On the subject of secession, setting aside the premise that Texas was never really part of the US, I believe every State has the right to Secession based on the Constitution and the way it is worded, not just Texas. So while we Texans like to throw around that we can divide into 5 states and gain more Texans senators or that we can secede, I believe no state is without the secession right. Heck, New England states threatened to secede over the formation of the Federal Reserve!
Maybe we shoulda let them? LOL

Anyway, hope ya have a great weekend!
Take care Dewey and look forward to hearing from you in the future.

Thanks to all those who called Austin and the State Board of Education Members at home and in Austin to reinstate the "weakness and strenghths " language back in the legislation. I was told by the Austin office that calls were 99% for strength and weaknesses but back in the language of the bill. The vote is in progress today.

Sooo, your contention is that Texas is NOT part of the U.S.? And never has been if I am reading the documents on the site correctly?

Then why does she have reps in Federal government? How can Texans vote for federal offices? Why is she counted as one of the largest states? Why did Texans threaten to secede during the 70s gas crisis if she isn't a part of the U.S. and why didn't anyone bring this to light then?

If your contention is true, why isn't there more information along these lines? Why didn't I hear about this when I was living in Texas?

And why did the leaders of Texas back in the nineteenth century write documents as though she were a state if, in fact, even at that time, she wasn't?

Understand, this is a completely new concept and I am trying to get my head around it. I am not questioning the veracity of the documents on the site or your sincerity.

Sooooo, what other documents/information exists that might prove this notion???

The Texas Constitution of 1866? Fictitious? The American Texas Annexation Agreement? Fictitious? Documents easily obtained from the UT-Austin Law Library on-line and the Texas State Archives fictitious? Hmmmmm.......

And I didn't take your comment as rude. As a Texan, I am pretty thick skinned. ;-)
Just think you should have checked out the notated sources before calling them fictitious.

Have a great week.
