I attended the East Valley Tea Party meeting last night. 65 showed up. Picked up some good points on what they are doing to grow membership and push the agenda.
Talked last week to Marty Hermanson, Pinal GOP Chair, and Paul Messenger, GOP secretary, regarding new PC's (swore it would make 11/18 BOS mtg) 11/21 meeting agenda, emails on meeting and placing meeting on AZ GOP and Pinal GOP websites. Zip on any of it as of today. I'm going to call Marty and go "fishing" and not tip to the fact that they missed the 11/18 BOS agenda. Hope you're back in town. Lot's going on with the PC project.
We need minimum of 500.00 to file the docs with the AZ Sec of State.
UPDATE #7
Please check out the link below, which is our former Governor Ms. Napolitano; Our Homeland Security Secretary, still pushing for AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS!
Everybody here in the state remembers when she was for ILLEGALS HAVING DRIVER LICENSES, healthcare for illegal’s, which is still happening with anchor babies, over 5,000 during this past year per AHCCCS. With an average cost of $5,000.00 to $7,000.00 per baby, you do the math. Your paying for it Arizona! It's out of control cost! I’m sure this is still going on mainly due to the states budgets caseload growth increased for FY 2010 of $183,202,100.00. Thank you Governor Brewer for doing this, while Arizonans are struggling to make it month to month, and you and others in the state legislator do not have the will power to cut these programs and lower the tax rates now! AND SECURE THE BORDER!
My opinion, is that this amnesty is not a wise and prudent thing to do! Everybody here in the state knows that Ms. Napolitano is for open borders, and it appears that Governor Brewer and many of the democrats in the legislator and senate are for this as well. I personally do believe that what happens in Washington, DOES directly affect our state, (that would include our Economy)! Further, I would absolutely love to have our elected officials in office that can look at the bigger picture, how this amnesty will affect Arizona, and take any and all steps possible to act/counteract to protect the best interest of our great state.
What a refreshing change that would be! As your Governor, this is how I will govern. I will not have Blinders on, and be sitting in the Office of the Governor not doing anything about the BORDER and out of CONTROL STATE SPENDING? The answer is not RAISING state sales TAXES! Or property TAXES! Or day care provider FEES! Or selling off state ASSETS!
I honestly believe that these new Bills and Laws, approved by our Federal Government and state laws will impact our daily lives in Arizona? I also believe, that the Obama administration is using “SMOKE AND MIRRORS” on this “immigration reform”!
I believe that the Obama administration along with the national, state, and local democrats, whom all are for open borders, need these illegal’s to become voters.
The only way this can happen is for the Obama administration to provide amnesty to the illegal aliens, by January or February of 2010. This is due to that it will take at least six months to get them registered to vote, as well as most states require residency for six months to qualify for the 2010 elections. With the declining poll numbers of the democrats, over their spending and out of control DESTRUCTIVE policies they need 20 to 30 million new voter base to stay in power. How much better it would be for all of these illegal’s to become citizens and are now able to vote, and be eligible for healthcare and social security, LIFE IS GOOD RIGHT!
And we Arizonans will pay the price for this. I can spend line per line punching holes in Ms. Napolitano’s speech and agenda of open borders. And we all know the real facts about illegal alien cost’s to Arizona.
We live the cost every day, along with the families whom have had loved ones killed by illegal aliens, and nobody seems to care!
WELL I DO CARE! And I have had ENOUGH! And if you, the good citizens of Arizona, elect me as your Governor, I will secure the BORDER! I will CUT the size of our STATE GOVERNMENT through TAX CUTS! I will cut the out of control spending programs!
I WILL LOOK OUT FOR YOU! THAT’S MY CONTRACT WITH YOU.

Make politicians prove they support the Second Amendment
Another candidate for office has responded to the Gun Rights Political Questionnaire, Jim Deakin, who is challenging incumbent John McCain. Here are his answers:
1. Do you believe that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land and that the Bill of Rights acknowledges our birthrights?
JD: Yes. The US Constitution says it best. See Text in RED.
Article VI
All debts contracted and engagements entered into, before the adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.
This Constitution, and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding.
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the members of the several state legislatures, and all executive and judicial officers, both of the United States and of the several states, shall be bound by oath or affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.
2. If so, should these rights be proactively protected from infringement by all levels of government, including city, county and state?
JD: Yes. The US Constitution says it best. See Text above in Purple. Rights guaranteed by the US Constitution cannot be usurped by arbitrary rules and laws established by any state or local government.
3. Please give some examples of gun laws you consider constitutional.
JD: Government is required to protect citizens from each other, not from themselves. When the due process of law is followed, it would be constitutional to disallow convicted criminals and unstable persons from possessing arms. It is important that the due process be strictly followed. Our founders were very concerned that innocent people would be tried and convicted. They established our rules to help prevent that injustice. I also believe it should not be a lifetime punishment. Everyone should be allowed to present their case to a judge to return their rights, including the right to self protection.
4. Please give some examples of gun laws you consider unconstitutional.
JD: All of them. The “Creator” gives us our rights. The constitution is a limit placed on the federal government to ensure those rights.
5. Does the right to bear arms include the right for any peaceable citizen to carry them concealed without a permit, as in Vermont?
JD: Yes. I have a CCW permit because that is the law in Arizona. However, I do believe it is an unconstitutional imposition. Great Americans like the members of the Arizona Citizens Defense League (AZCDL) are working hard to get these laws reversed and return to a constitutional understanding.
6. Do you believe that Americans have a right to own, use and carry weapons of military pattern, and will you use the prestige of elected office to publicly promote that right?
JD: Yes. Reading the history of our country the intent of the founders was to allow the citizens to be the Militia and ready to defend the country against all threats, foreign and domestic. National Guard is not the Militia, they are required to leave their “arms” on base, they don’t get to “keep” them.
7. Do you support or oppose registration of weapons? Why?
JD:
a. Yes, I oppose registration of weapons.
b. Several reasons.
i. It is none of the governments business.
ii. It violates the constitution, including the 4th and 5th amendments. Information is property, information about my weapons is my property.
iii. Least importantly, lists are stolen all the time… how many times a month do we hear about another bank/VA/credit card company losing its “personal” information. Even the government lists are not secure, the Chinese hacked into the DOD servers recently.
8. Do you support or oppose licensing requirements to own or carry firearms? Why?
JD:
a. Yes, I oppose licensing requirements.
b. Same as 7.b. above.
9. What specific gun laws will you work to get repealed?
JD: All of them.
10. If elected, will you back your words of support for firearms rights up with consistent actions? How?
JD: Yes. I took an oath to support and defend the constitution. My entire reason for the pursuit of Arizona’s US Senate Seat is to bring our government back to basics, back to the fundamentals of the constitution. Our government, politicians and bureaucrats are out of control with power. I will work with likeminded individuals within and without the walls of congress to pressure the repeal of unconstitutional rules, regulations and laws.
Thank you for the opportunity to answer your questions. I will need the support of constitutionally minded free men and woman to with the battle for Arizona and the United States.
