I woke up recently, I had gone numb after 9/11. It was just easier to put my head down and survive life without the fear that day brought into our lives. Its a tactic I learned as a child. I am a cold war baby. The idea that the world could end at any moment at the push of a button doesn't seem to phase me much anymore so, ya it was easy to just let what was happening to our country hum quietly in the background. People were angry, what needed to be done? I wouldn't put myself in that leadership position ever but we gave up freedoms that day. It was there the fear began.

It seems to me that we have become a country driven by fear. Driven, when was the last time you tuned into any news program where some disaster wasn't eminent. I find it quite amazing that each of the huge crisis in our current news are attached to a political agenda. The gov uses the line "its a crisis, we must act now" to EXCUSE themselves for either acting in haste and screwing up or cramming legislation we don't want any part of down our throats. Climate Change, Financial Bailouts, Pig Stimulus Packages, The UBER Budget. We are being driven towards a future not of our own making. And I just wanna scream STOP! That's why I'm here.

I'm not a Republican, I'm an evil Democrat. I apologize for not waking up sooner and trying to stop what is happening now in the primary elections. I didn't vote Democrat in the election. I actually voted for Sarah Pallin, I figured at least one of the two Republican candidates had merit. I lost any hope I had for John Mc Cain when they voted yes on the TARP. I'm tired of elections where its a choice between bad and worse. I'm ready for a change.. I'm ready to help. I'm not a stage speaker, but I sure as heck can be handy backstage. I'm awake now.
