A very interesting concept. I only have a couple of concerns. One is a Nov 11th deadline. I'm not sure how they can get this widely enough known in that short timeline, and I'm not sure what is driving the rush. Since I am pretty well tapped out by our recent elections, it would take me a couple of days before I could decide on a realistic contribution. The other concern is that I don't have a good feel on how the pool of money would be used to further the cause. At one point, the word "lobbying" is used. Even if one had perfect knowledge of the political landscape that will face us in 2 months or 6 months and a huge "war chest", one would still face serious questions in how best to deploy those resources. Should we work to find as many as 435 solid Constitutionalists to make sure every citizen has someone they can vote for with a clear conscience, or do we focus our efforts and resources where we think we have a good chance of winning? There are arguments to be made on both sides of this question, but I think that there is no question that almost a year out from the General election and 4 to 8 months out from nominating primaries and Conventions that we need to be identifying and vetting as many good, serious candidates as humanly possible. I would recommend another site voterswithchange.org.
Feel free to E-mail me at lestergabriel@hotmail.com. I feel to restrained with this 200 character limit.
My hope is for there to be at least a 20% turnover in Congress in 2010. I also hope that all of those leaving will not be Democrats, otherwise the current Republican "leadership" would see no reason to change.
Thanks for your help

Good Evening. My Name is Erik Brunnenmeyer. I intend to run for MA D3 House of Representatives. It is my intent to give Jim McGovern , the town hall, he ran from, but only this one, may cost him his job.
I would like to have an open and honest discussion, on the current state...of your representation.. about what you want to see from your Representative to the U.S. Congress. I am not here to ask a dime from you, all I ask is for some of your time, if you like what I stand for…your signature…and then in November of 2010, your vote.
Firstly some things about myself:
In 2002 3 guys from PA moved up to MA. We had a gas leaking buick (with a broken gas gauge, we never really knew how much gas we had), $1,500, a Uhaul, and a tent. No jobs lined up, no place to live, nothing. Everyone we knew, said we “would be back”…7 years later, we are still here. My situation has improved. I have a house, a car, a job, and a family, and I owe no government program any thanks for it.
Those 3 guys, did it all on their own. No government program to help them, no hand outs from anyone…all on their own. Despite the fact we were told otherwise. Despite the fact we had no help. We knew the only thing we were ever entitled to was/is… Opportunity, and we were aware that individual results may vary. We knew this because we were cognizant enough to know, this would take effort on our individual part and This taught me something. Its all about the effort.
It has been my experience to be suspicious of anyone’s motivations to encourage a “government 1st” approach, or a "at someone else's expense" approach as a primary solution to their problems. As a matter of fact, the only time, which I relied on the government (for any sort of help) was the very moment, I got myself into debt. I am actual, factual, living proof of what dedication and the American spirit, no matter how muted...can manifest itself, and influence itself..If we only bet on ourselves.
I believe we are all adults here. We are not stupid, we are not weak, we have certainly proved that. I feel most of us here, know what its like to work a full days work (if not more), and most of us probably already realize it inside themselves…that we can do most anything we set out to do, if we only step outside of our comfort zone, stop making excuses and just take some self ownership and right your own personal ship, the torpedoes be dammed. Why? Because we are Americans…we don’t accept the mantra of “it’s too hard” if the reward is “worth it”. We know what made our country great...and its not a bailout nor is it a handout...it is competition....it is ingenuity, and it is results. The only thing we want, is for the arbitrary to stay out of our way. The only thing we need, is to be left alone especially by an organization who cannnot even balance their ledgers. I feel this very mantra could be used to fix our economy. One cannot simply spend their way out of debt…especially if they have no money, one must work 1st...to have the money.
We are Americans. Unabashedly unapologetic for our successes. We gave the World the lightbulb, the world gives us Hitler ( Yes, Yes, I reducio ad hitler 1st, just to get it out of the way, now lets continue the conversation), We give the world Flight (revolutionizing how man once viewed the world), and the world gives us Stalin, we give the world the internet...the world gives us disdain, we go to the moon, the world looks on. We are a nation of pioneers and entrepreneurs in spite of it all; this should come as no surprise, for it is within our spirit as human beings to do so. Ingenuity is 50% common sense, and 25% innovation, 25% inspiration. We lead by example. The world repeats proven insanity.
It does not matter *how* our ancestors got here, all that matters is that, here, now, we are here. We have the opportunity, to continue setting that example, by showing the world, that we are Not the “confused people”, but rather our government is the one that is confused. We do this, by being the sole nation on this planet, which will actively reign in its government…and hold them accountable. The world gives us nothing, and we gave the world the unimaginable, accomplish the inconceivable, and still stand for the preservation of that which is just, and natural.
With that said...
I have grown tired of hearing rhetoric which flies in the face of logic…a basic common sense…which we all know to be true, and we are told we are fools because we know it (their point) does (fly in the face of logic). Why do those who insist otherwise...insult us? Why is it that a group of people who (by rights) should know better...simply don’t? Despite the fact that year in and year out...somehow we find a way to "just hold on"...while we obey their rules and they follow none....and each year our future (and our children's future) looks bleaker and bleaker...and each and every time we think of a way to start to see financial daylight...we see another Government hand, picking our pocket, manipulating the rules....to support 1 cause or another....which has nothing to do with us. They seem to be becoming dangerously unaccountable and overtly disregarding of us. The Government Sector is growing, and the Private sector is dieing. This is a bad thing for eventually we shall run out of other people's money. They were all about getting theirs, and helping out their friends, lining their stock options, while staring down their nose at us....well what about us....?
Well I say...what about our cause of Liberty? There, I said it. I said it, the "cheesy cliche" and now I ask them to pony up to the bar and own the tab. While they are at it, I got a few other bones to pick... What about our existing rights which guarantee a semblance of self-ownership and sovereignty? What about us? We send billions of dollars overseas each year...yet it takes an economic collapse to have our cruddy roads repaired? We can enumerate new "rights" for people, but we cannot secure the existing rights we already have without legislatively whittling them down. We send billions of dollars to failing, mismanaged industries, yet we cannot relax regulatory codes to allow small businesses to start up...without taxing them to death. (They can spend all this money to “Help” us, yet the only thing which can help us, does not cost a cent) I thought that small business was the backbone of America...I thought that the bailouts were for mainstreet...not Wall Street. Yet I hear day in and day out of more and more small business folding, and more banks failing. Take a look around...unemployment is near 10% (ATLEAST). . That is 1 in 10 of every people you see. It seems to me (that among other things) DC needs a Dictionary. If I sound just a tad aggravated...can you blame me? If I sound like I am looking to pick a fight, it's because I am...it's because somethings are just worth fighting for. I have reached out to other organizations, anyone willing to listen....I've been met with "polite rejection, with redirection" and excuses. So with, that said, I will go it alone, and any devil be damned, have fun with the puppet show. (a Don Quixote reference)
Its time. Its time to start correcting the problem...while we still can. Its time to remember the basics. This is quickly becoming not the country that we love. It was said, back in Greece, that Republics fail when apathy takes hold. I am 33 years old, and let me tell ya...it is. I refuse to be a nihilist, and dig my heels in the dirt, and complain any longer. Its time for action. Its time for common sense. Let’s correct this problem. Let’s send some one to Washington, who would put in measures which would at least attempt to curb how Washington behaves. Simple no cost solutions. It is time for term limits, its time for Congressional Compensation reform...and more over...It is time for things to just make sense again. Its time to make a stand. Its high time we send a message, a succinctly complete message (this time). A beautiful message, and one which truly matters....AND THAT IS, We are Americans, We represent ourselves, and we hold our elected officials accountable, and so we shall.
I don't want to be the sole author of any message, I want to be the Co-author....with you.
I will fire you up, if it means you will pay attention, I will kick you, if it means you will wake up, and if I am your representative, I want a participatory constituency...nothing short of it will do..I want all my town halls to be riots. I want to see and hear you....in no uncertain terms. I want a healthy constituency. Bush said an angry man throwing a shoe was a healthy sign.
If you shook your head in agreement at any part of this message...I encourage you to speak with me further. If you disagreed with it, well then I beg you to talk with me more.
Send me to Washington...I am not looking to go there to make a career out of politics. I am looking to put the beast on a leash, I am not looking to go to DC, to lock myself away in some ivory tower...I go there to bring them down to US...when we celebrate, they celebrate, and when we suffer, so do they.....and I can't go it alone...I never wanted to be a politician...but I most certainly don't want to give my kids a country...which I myself do not even recognize....more over...I dread saying the words "I did nothing"...when my kids ask "What did you do to stop this?", for that would seriously throw into question my convictions, a question which I would have no retort for....and If I win, I want to have another genuine discussion about campaign finance reform.
So in the spirit of things, I the contextually un-qualified do here by solemnly swear, to pull off the impossible to the self anointed apathetic. My opponent has over 1 million dollars, and who knows how many lawyers groups at his disposal. I intend to make him spend every single penny of it, and utilize every connection he has.
My name is Erik Brunnenmeyer...I am making a stand....and I am here to fight!
Please feel free to look me up on face book, or contact me at EJB4D3@gmail.com
It wouldn't be all that bad if the President got a few thousand as well
If you believe in the principles and actions I have expressed it would be great I you and your family and friends could send similar letters to your members of both house of congress and to your local editors.

Letter to the Editor:
“STOP EVERYTHING!!”
Stop and put an eighteen month freeze on all new spending and tax bills and listen to the people you are supposed to be working for. You do remember who you work for don’t you? Right?
The American People don’t need you to take care of us! You just need to stop obstructing us, allow us to succeed, and get out of our way! What you are proposing, “We the People, our children, and our grandchildren” cannot afford. It is time to refocus on what the people really need and really want! Stop with the personal political agendas. America does not need to be fundamentally Changed!
The following priorities will allow Americans to bring America back to its historical level of success and reverse current path to national bankruptcy.
The seven (7) top priority actions that congress and the president must focus on are:
1. Allow “We the People” to bring God back into the public square along with the “ity” virtues: morality, integrity, humility, civility, fidelity, accountability, etc.
2. Conduct a massive self-cleaning of corruption, greed, graft, etc., in both houses, whatever the political persuasion and remove all special interest folks from government processes!
3. Job creation: More than seven million jobs in less than five years and more than fifteen million jobs in less than ten years. This is a realistic goal if the personal political agendas are abandoned and replaced with common sense and focused determination to succeed.
4. Reinforce and strengthen the United States Dollar. Raise it back to being the global universal medium of exchange as it has been for more than a hundred years..
5. Energy Independence (remove our vulnerability), use the All of the Above approach.
6. Reduce, then eliminate, all long term government debt.
7. Seriously refocus on the United States National Security......both foreign and domestic.
If these seven priorities are successfully addressed all other issues can be handled easily and expeditiously. If they are not successfully addressed nothing else will matter because our Freedom and our great Republic, as we now know it, will no longer exist.
“We the People” are standing up and making these demands known and we are expecting them to be adhered to. We are talking to our family and friends across this nation and building a national common sense ground swell of demand for our rights to be free to succeed or fail by our own actions, not by government control or mandate.
Remember that the constitution gave “We the People” the power to control our government. “We” have become aware and are now alert to what you elected representatives are doing. Remember, the 2010 and 2012 elections soon will be here. We are reminding our family and friends across the country that it is our combined duty and responsibility to see that this Republic remains strong and intact.
Remember, “When the people fear the government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people there is liberty! (Thomas Jefferson)
