Lynne T. said… - Thank you for your response. I have been told that it can take awhile to get acclimated here in Vegas--someone said the first year can be very hard....a friend of mine here, who is also a WA transplant, said it took him 2 years.
I am a church goer and just recently found an awesome chuch to attend. I'm hoping that as I get involved it will help me acclimate. Additionally, it is my opinion that in these times we are encountering, that people would turn back to God as their source of hope and we would start seeing an increase in church involvement!
There has been a good amount of negativity on this site--including people criticizing this site. My hope for this site is that we would use it as a tool to start physical grassroots groups in each local area. And this site would be a great help for information and encouragement to those groups. I used to be a PCO for my precinct for 4 years--I learned a lot, got involved in local politics and did my best to make a difference, and found out how uninformed the average voter really and truly is! I would like to see people more involved in local politics and this site is potentially a good vehicle for that.

- Hi Jacqueline, I'm going to be here in Vegas until I get on my feet--don't know how long that will be....and I have my daughter with me and I have to think about her too, can't just be moving her around either. Moved down here to be with family, but I really don't like it here. How long have you been here and what are your thoughts on this area? BTW, they say it is liberal here, well, they don't know liberal until they have spent some time in Wash. state! Ugh!

No, none of them understand that the only job creation that ever occurs must come from the private sector. Unions and lib Governments destroy jobs and economys. I guess many will have to find out the hard way that if your employer is destroyed, you don't have a job. Seems simple, but apparently it is not so obvious to many.

- Thanks for the comment. I agree that we have a lot of work cut out for us. We need to keep working the resistance of liberal policies but we must focus our efforts. BO is our main focus, but as Nevadans, we need to work at ridding ourselves of Dingy Harry also. I think we need to arm ourselves with information for all the battles ahead of us.

- I feel you completely, I fear if we try to fight all fronts at once we will be spread too thin. There is just soo much work to do and not enough of us(yet) who are proactive.
