Allowing Noncitizens the Right To Vote (in Maine) DEFEATED!

I have to extend a huge thank you to the Republican Project, Miriam Conners, all of you who came to Augusta to testify and all of you who wrote letters and made those phone calls. LD 1195 came out of The Committee on Legal and Veteran’s Affairs with a report “Ought NOT to pass.” All but 2 Senators and 9 Representatives agreed, voting in favor of that report. LD 1195 has failed! We won!

Those 11 people who voted against the recommendation of “ought… Continue

Gay Marriage and Unalienable Rights

Thinking about gay marriage led me to studying how something becomes normal. Religious teachings were a primary focus and I understand why. Our diverse perspectives have though, in my opinion, clouded another issue. The proponents of state sanctioned gay marriage state that the issue is civil liberty. I agree.

It is through normalization, sanctioned by the state, that gay marriage is revealed as an issue between civil liberties and unalienable rights. Normalization is accomplished most effectiv… Continue

Was George W. Bush the Worst President?

Was George W. Bush the Worst President?
A historian urges us to take a deep breath before we answer.
By THOMAS FLEMING

Several polls of historians have named George W. Bush the worst president in American history. This baffles me. I've been writing about presidents for a long time. What I know, and what I presume these gentlemen know, doesn't connect.

Is Mr. Bush worse than John Adams? When a shooting war at sea started between the United States and revolutionary France in 1798, Honest John wr… Continue

Wake Up

I am amazed, truly amazed, at how many sites are out there, how many people are calling attention to what's wrong. Information is power. Education is key.

We've been surrounded by a blanket of deception for so long it seems almost as if its really is a battle for our very souls. And what I mean is that the evil, the darkness, the blanket has grown so thick that the light of our souls that tolerated the slumber has become aware that if it doesn't wake up, it will be exterminated. Whether our sou… Continue

RNC Chair's Comments

Did you see Steele? He was directly asked how the RNC will deal with Collins and Snowe. His response was that if Maine is against them, then the RNC has an obligation to support that decision. Steele told Neil Cavuto that he is open to cutting GOP funding for the 3 Senate traitors who voted for the Simulus, Steele says he will wait and see what the state GOP parties decide about the traitors.

Time to begin a huge letter and phone call campaign to Charles Webster, new State… Continue

Welcome to Paint Maine Red. I have started this group to provide information on the politics of Maine. There are interesting links about the history of Maine as well as links to the state house and news media. Please use these links to write the Governor, Senators and Representatives. I also encourage you to contact the media, comment on Blogs and write to the editor's. It is my intention to seek out people for office who hold True Conservative values. I am open to any and all suggestions. I am not just interested in talking about what is wrong, I am also interested in what the State is doing right.

I have this group in several other networks. If you have not done so already, please take a moment to go to the Main Website for Paint Maine Red and become a member.

Again Thanks for joining.
