Please let me try to clarify my positions also. I never intended for us to wait for the 2010 elections to take any further action. On the contrary. The members in my region are working on ways to make a difference everyday. I have been attending other grassroots organization meet ups, trying to gain alliances and support actions that they are involved with, which includes e-mailing and phoning politicians at the local, state, and national level among other things. However, in every instance, the focus on the 2010 elections is the primary goal of every group I am associated with, or that I have been a guest of.
The importance of the 2010 elections can not be over emphasized. You sort of agree with me, but you said it in a different way, that tea parties, e-mails, and phone calls won't change anything. But, all those things are motivators. It gets people involved. So you are right, what is next? Are we going to sit on our couches and wait for the elections? Absolutely not! We are going to do everything we can to educate the masses and hopefully turn them into conservative voters. Because in the end, only congress can make and pass laws and legislature. No one else can do it. That is the way it is set up, and that is the way it will always be. The key to our final success is having the right people in congress. Then, we should use the same techniques to ensure success in the 2012 elections, where we can get rid of the usurper, and one third of our senators.
Perhaps I misread your intentions. If you were merely trying to agitate, and fire up some couch potatoes, I understand you motives. Hell, I do it all the time. Read some of my discussion comments and you will see that. To be frank about it though, you came off as some kind of right wing extremist radical. You did not hurt my feelings or the feelings of others. You did worse by disrespecting us.
Since you have written this e-mail to me, I no longer believe that was your intent.
I would like you to know (and Gerry can vouch for this), I will probably not agree with you on some issues, and you will not agree with me. However, we can respect our differences, and work together on the ones we do agree on, and then work out mutually acceptable solutions for issues we differ on. There are two personal benefits in that for me. First of all, I do not like working with people that agree with me all the time. It stifles creativity, and leads to complacency. Secondly, I can not enjoy the benefit of another person's position, if I don't honestly try to understand why they feel the way they do. None of us are 100% right, and none of us are 100% wrong. Doesn't mean we have to meet in the middle (I don't believe in middle ground), but it does mean there's room for including sound ideas even if they are not mine.
Let's start a new day tomorrow, as respectful partners in crime against the socialist degenerates that are threatening our way of life. BTW, I too am doing this for my children and grandchildren. You mentioned Drill Sergeant. Are you a Marine. I am; from the Viet Nam era. Semper Fi if you are, my deepest respect if an Army veteran.
Warm Regards,
Ron
I don't think I have seen anywhere on this website where anyone disagrees with that, including me. I don't know what your motives are in sewwing some of the comments you have made, but I don't believe they are supportive of our overall agenda.
Example:
"SECESSION IS UNAMERICAN?? HAVE YOU PEOPLE LOST YOUR COLLECTIVE MINDS? PLEASE GO BACK TO SQUARE ONE AND READ THE 10TH AMENDMENT BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH. NEXT, TRY TO REMEMBER WHAT THE FOUNDING FATHERS DID."
Your words are crude and condescending, but it is interesting that you interpret the 10th Amendment to mean what you want it to mean, while at the same time we are criticizing our opponents for doing the same thing on several of the other articles and amendments.
"IF YOU REALLY THINK THAT ALL THOSE PETITIONS YOU SIGNED AND SMART ALECK SIGNS YOU MADE WILL AMOUNT TO ANYTHING, THEN YOU ARE RIGHT"
Where do you get off criticizing patriots that put their hearts and passion into making signs for the tea parties, and in signing petitions. You try to ridicule their method of taking action, because it does not support your brand of resistance. Fortunately, their actions do support the resistance philosophy of The Patriotic Resistance in resistnet. You may want to go back and read resistnet's goals and objectives so elequently delineated by Darla on the main page. You might also go back and click on the about us tab, and read the no tolerance policy.
"DO ANY OF YOU HAVE SOME SEMBLANCE OF A PLAN OF ACTION, OR DO YOU JUST CLING TO THE NEGATIVE AND WAIT FOR SOMEBODY ELSE TO DO ALL THE WORK AND SAVE YOU?"
Somehow I think you are missing the whole concept of The Patriotic Resistance movement. Surely, you must have some knowledge of all the things the great patriots in this membership have been involved with over the last several months. If not, you are severely uninformed.
Last but not least, I am forwarding a copy of this message to Jim Boy. What your motive was in getting Jim involved only means to me that I must have got one up on you, and youare trying to retaliate. Please , if you don't get anything else out of this, understand that I am not in competition with you. You said, and It is your fantasy to return to constitutional law. I'm a realist, and tough we agree, it's not a fantasy to me. However, that is the difference between you and me. It doesn't make you better than I, not does it make me better than you. Our difference appears to be that I can respectfully disagree with someone's view and positions without resorting to crude and obnoxious attacks on them, while you do not seem to be able to do the same.
BTW, it appears by your title, and the fact that you live in Palacious that you may be associated with work at STP. Maybe not, but I wanted you to know that I worked on STP for the company that owned and operated the project at the time. So, I probably am on at least par with your professional and intelligence level.
