ResistNet.com is the official social network of Grassfire.org's
Patriotic Resistance campaign. With Obama and the Democrats in Congress already embarking on the implementation of their agenda, Grassfire.org and hundreds of thousands of citizens across this nation unashamedly announce our Resistance. We will resist -- in a peaceful, patriotic way -- Obama's efforts to move our nation away from our heritage of individual liberties toward “brave new world” of collectivism. ResistNet is designed to give citizens a new level of networking resources to organize the Patriotic Resistance.
Grassfire.org is one of the nation’s fastest growing conservative online action networks involving more than 1 million citizens across the nation. As a non-profit 501c(4) organization, our goal is to rally and equip concerned citizens to take a proactive stand on the key issues of the day. As an organization, we are committed to providing cutting-edge tools that enhance the power and influence of grassroots citizens.
"Grassfire has done a great job and has done a great service to the American people." – Sen. Jim DeMint. "I'm so grateful to [Grassfire.org’s] efforts in mobilizing people to call their Congressmen." --Rep. Mike Pence. More about Grassfire.org. Steve Elliott bio.
ResistNet is designed to be the social networking platform of Grassfire.org's Patriotic Resistance. This platform is designed to give Grassfire.org a platform for developing the structure of an intellectual resistance while providing a place for grassroots conservative citizen-resisters to network and delelope strategies and action items. We have set out the broad strategic outline for the resistance in two documents entitled, "Resist, Rebuild, Restore" and "How to Rightly Resist." We have established a clear "No tolerance" policy for personal attacks, militancy or profane language because our desire is that ResistNet focuses on ideas, solutions and actions.
Every ResistNet member is required to consent to a "No Tolerance" policy which states:
I affirm that ResistNet is for principled, patriotic resistance to Barack Obama's ideology and agenda and is not a forum for personal attacks, lewd or profane language, or militancy against Barack Obama or others. As such, I accept ResistNet's strict No Tolerance policy and will not make inappropriate postings. I understand that such postings will be removed and members responsible will be banned without further notice. I also will report such postings to the site administrator.

We believe our plan to "Resist, Rebuild, Restore" provides the broad framework around which to build a Patriotic Resistance that can, in the long term, turn back the Obama/leftist agenda. This broad structure is like an endoskeleton (an internal structure) which will allow the Patriotic Resitance to grow and develop organically as opposed to an exoskeleton which would limit growth. Thus, we are currently focusing on Resisting because we believe a firm, patriotic resistance will cause a broad coalition of grassroots Americans to unite around a common goal of stopping the socialistic Obama agenda. From this newfound unity, we will rebuild and restore. The Resistance, if done properly, will create the structure and foundation for rebuilding the conservative movement and restoring constitutional leadership to our society.
Here on ResistNet, our goal is to give concerned citizens both a forum for ideas and a practical way to get involved. Ideally, anyone who is willing to invest their time in advancing this patriotic, idea-based resistance to this new wave of socialism would be able to contribute through ResistNet. As we see a need, we will create volunteer "jobs" and post those on our
Job Board. Those jobs will generally fall into two categories: assiting in developing the content of the site or assisting in developing the State Groups which are the backbone of our network.
Already, the Resistance is developing. Hundreds of thousands are signing the Patriotic Resistance petition. Tens of thousands are joining together on ResistNet. State and issue groups are forming. Currently, these efforts are in their embryonic stages. Be patient. Focus on the broad goals. And let's keep working together.
Immediately following the election, Grassfire.org took a strong ideological stand opposing Barack Obama's socialist agenda. We have assembled one of the largest grassroots conservative constiuencies but we make no claims to the "turf" of opposing Obama's socialism. We are eager to work with individuals and organizations who share this purpose of exposing and resisting the move to statism. We also seek to provide grassroots citizens with unique and powerful tools to network and impact the debate. We understand that leadership is earned through a record of trust, excellent ideas and a track record of success. We believe the leaders of the Patriotic Resistance and the future of the conservative movement will be those individuals and organizations who can bring together trust, ideas and success.
ResistNet is quickly organizing around State Groups. These State Groups are the structural frame around which we can communicate and take action. Each State Group page is organized like its own mini social network with the ability to provide custom resources and social networking tools.
Step One is to join your State Group. Network within this group. You can even become one of the administrators for your state group. Second, check our our
Volunteer Job Board if you would like a more formal role. Third, please help us maintain the ideals of the site (see the "No Tolerance" policy). Report abusers to ADMIN. Also, be patient! ResistNet is growing rapidly. We will have growing pains.
Through the support of our team members, Grassfire is funding ResistNet as part of our overall Patriotic Resistance efforts. We are trusting that those who are using ResistNet will provide the financial support for this effort and Grassfire's broader efforts in the Patriotic Resistance and other grassroots conservative efforts.
