FLEMING HEALTH CARE REPEAL UPDATE
IT'S BAAAAAACK - The Public Option is Being Considered in Congress Again

If you thought the worst of the health care debate was behind us, think again. Earlier this week, 128 liberal Democrats joined California Democrat, Lynn Woolsey on a new bill, H.R. 5808, that would amend the new health care reform bill to create a public option in the new health insurance exchanges. While there are a few minor changes in this new bill, this public-option model is nearly identical to the original government health care plan we fought so hard against and defeated just 6 months ago.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: This new public option is being presented by Woolsey and her liberal colleagues under the ruse of reducing the deficit. That’s right—they want to grow the public welfare state and have you think it will reduce government spending. Can you say, ludicrous? This ploy of theirs won’t stop as long as Nancy Pelosi is Speaker.

THE DOCTOR'S DIAGNOSIS: America must continue to provide the best health care services while providing affordable access to that care. Although still in its infancy, we are already seeing some of the devastating impacts of the new health care reform law. Companies are already making plans to lay off employees and some businesses are closing as a direct result of that legislation. If the current Majority moves our country further toward a public option, we will end up with a health care system like the NHS, which we know subjects British citizens to long lines, rationing and preventable deaths.

Early in this debate, in response to the insistence by many in the majority that health reform contain a public option, I offered a resolution, H. Res. 615, to require Members of Congress to put their money where their mouth is, and urge colleagues who vote for legislation creating a government-run health care plan to lead by example and enroll themselves in the same public plan. Nearly 4 million Americans from all 50 states contacted my office to offer their support for H. Res 615.

As this process unfolds, I will continue to work to repeal what I firmly believe to be an onerous and unconstitutional health care reform law which passed last March and find market-based solutions to our health care needs.

This article shows the exact reasons Obama used the recess appointment tactic to bypass Senate confirmation hearings where news media would expose Dr. Berwyn's radical views on women's healthcare and senior's healthcare. All voters should be made aware of this in add9ition to the many new taxes coming on January 1, 2011 as noted in the discussion posting by Darla Dawald. Not only will healthcare be rationed, more will lose their insurance and be pushed into single payer Obamacare and lose preventive screenings. Dr. Berwyn loves Britain's NHS so will push us closer to a like system.

Obama is up to more dirty tricks as he waited once again until Congress was on recess so as to bypass Senate confirmaton to appoint Dr. Berwick to be the new Medicare/Medicaid chief. Health Care rationing is coming and death panels no doubt a reality. .

This direct quote from Dr. Berwick lets us know exactly how he will steer healthcare away from the seniors in a "redistribution of wealth".

Eric Cantor and John Boehner are out today spinning furiously that their discharge petition is better than Steve King’s discharge petition.

Except there is a fundamental flaw: they have a premature discharge problem.

No, premature discharge is not a problem that can be cured with a pill.

In order to have a discharge petition, the legislation to be discharged — that is forced to the floor of the House of Representatives whether or not the Speaker wants it — must have been submitted for some time before a discharge petition is timely.

To file a discharge petition before the legislation to be discharged has “ripened”, so to speak, does not work — it is prematurely discharged.

Well, Eric Cantor and John Boehner really don’t want to deal with a “repeal Obamacare” discharge petition. So they signed it thinking it would give them the cover they needed to undermine it.

While signing Steve King’s discharge petition, Cantor and Boehner also set about getting signatures on Representative Wally Herger’s competing discharge petition for legislation that would not just repeal Obamacare, but would also replace it with something else — something not everyone on the GOP side even wants.

Guess what? Herger’s legislation has not ripened. Were Cantor and Boehner to get 218 signatures for Herger’s petition tomorrow, it would do no good.

Contrast that with Steve King’s discharge petition. Rep. King’s related legislation has been out since Obamacare passed the Senate. Senator Jim DeMint has already filed the companion legislation in the Senate.

If Rep. King got 218 votes tomorrow, his legislation, unlike the other, could be sent to the floor for a vote and Obamacare would have enough votes in the House to have it repealed.

But Eric Cantor and John Boehner don’t really want that to happen. They want to muddy the water and divide their own house.

We must support Heritage Foundation and Rep. King on this repeal petition. I have spoken previously with my representative about the repeal of Obamacare and he feels it important as Obamacare will lead to healthcare rationing and destruction of all private insurance coverage. I have noticed some rationing and changes already occurring and it will only be worse as it progresses. Obamacare is nothing but a back-door public option plan.
