SSI Excludes Combat-Related Pay
Week of March 15, 2010

The Social Security Administration (SSI) is no longer considering combat-related military pay in determining whether spouses and children of servicemembers are eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI). The Social Security Administration also will not consider retroactive payments of certain military pay as resources for nine months following receipt. This change in the rules protects spouses and children of servicemembers serving in a combat zone from a reduction in or loss of benefits due to combat-related military pay. (CNSNews.com) – Senate Armed Services Chairman Carl Levin (D.-Mich.) did not know that a bill he is co-sponsoring with Sen. Joe Lieberman (I.-Conn.) to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation in the military would also legalize both homosexual and bisexual activity among military personnel.

After a press conference at which Sens. Levin and Lieberman announced what they are calling the Military Readiness Enhancement Act of 2010, Levin told CNSNews.com he did not know whether the bill would legalize bisexual behavior in the military and that CNSNews.com should ask Sen. Lieberman to find out if it did. Levin also said he would “have to give a lot more thought to it” to decide whether in fact he supported legalizing homosexual and bisexual behavior in the military.

Another fearless leader who can't take the time to read the bill he is sponsoring. We talk about the average citize not being informed or asleep, maybe we should carry that same thought to our ruling elite? Better yet, throw them all out and lets start over!

We need to Change our Ways

History Tells Why the Progressives Want Health Care Insurance Reform

We have had experience with large social reforms before.

Social Security.. The Federal Government has billions come into the Treasury each year. The Federal government takes those dollars and buys government securities and than spends this money on all sorts of Social programs. When it is time to pay benefits to the Disabled and Retirees it must go to the market place and sell more government securities to honor claims because the money has already been spent.

What is disturbing is that means the Fed uses Social Security as slush fund to spend in many ways unrelated to Social Security.

Medicare is managed the same way.

When the Postal Service and other Government agencies need money the same principals are used.

Since the Federal Government is not required to Balance their books they spend and borrow and than
try to tax when they need to pay promised benefits.

So given our experience from years under this structure*** The People*** have come out of the stupor and they now understand this cannot continue.

So now we have the progressive coming to the well again. We are told they need to build a fund to start the paying claims in 4 years.***A New Slush Fund***

They need to park these moneys someplace while they work to start this program.

This means they will put this new revenue into more Treasury Securities.

This means the federal Government will spend this money any way they choose and in 4 years when
funds are needed to pay claims or benefits they will have already spent these funds. The Federal Government will have Billions if not trillions of dollars in worthless government securities outstanding which at that time no one will want.

This is not brain surgery as we were told by someone who tried to fool us before.

David came from the Tea Party movement and is a candidate for U.S. Congress.

Recently, while giving a speech, David was attacked by a group of Muslim students who were angry at his strong defense of Israel.

David responded to these students by saying, “The nation of Israel is a light in a very dark region of the world and her people have a right to exist! Israel has every right to build schools, hospitals and homes within the borders of the homeland God gave them. The Jewish people have suffered for far too long, enduring not only the bombs and murderous rockets of their neighbors, but also the grievous insults by those who would rather wipe Jew’s from the face of the earth than to peacefully co-exist beside a nation that is not controlled by Sharia law.”

At this, the Muslim demonstrators yelled they would pray for David’s defeat, and they would raise money for his opponents. One even yelled out, “David, ha! Goliath will have your head this time”.

It is by no mistake that David’s opponents began to receive max donations from individuals sympathetic to Muslim causes soon after this exchange.

We must not let this continue without a response. We all know, where God stands on this. This is in fact, a modern story of David and Goliath. They had that right. This time, we must stand beside David!

Please, search your heart and donate to this brave young Marine and spread this to every supporter of Israel you know. David’s faith must not go unnoticed.

Now, we will find out. Who among us truly stands with Israel and who among us stops at words. David stands with God and the nation of Israel. Where do you stand?Delete Comment

Congressman Vern Buchanan just introduced H.R. 4463, the "Military Tribunals for Terrorists Act of 2010” ... a simple piece of legislation which specifically says, "that all foreign terrorists with links to terrorist networks who attack the United States or its Government be considered enemy combatants to be tried by military tribunals instead of civilian courts."
