I just moved into his district, PLEASE tell me there is a true conservative candidate running against this clown!! We have to recruit someone, or I'll run myself - we can't just give "Obama Junior" another term!!

Opps, Webb left yesterday for a 2 week vaycay in Burma and other exotic places. Anybody going to Burma?
Laura Alcorn-East Region Coord Comment by Laura Alcorn-East Region Coord on August 10, 2009 at 6:31pm
Bobby Scott had a 'small business meeting' this morning in Richmond but healthcare would only be discussed as it pertains to small business owners.

Webb says that if he has a meeting, it will be announced on his website.
Warner has not announced a meeting. I have a meeting with his State Communications Director on Thursday (to deliver healthcare petitions) and will get more info if a healthcare townhall is going to happen.

Dear fellow Virginia Resistance members:

I am urging all members that are attending April 15th Tea Party rallies to work with your organizer to circulate a Virginia State Sovereignty Petition as it relates to HJ61, a bill in the State Legislature that is currently tabled. GO HERE FOR MORE INFO: http://www.timesdispatch.com/rtd/news/opinion/commentary/article/PEACE222_20090220-200823/211899/

The following is another piece of legislation that would also benefit greatly from our support---and our Tea Parties are an excellent opportunity to promote HR50:

Act forces Congress' return to limited government
Legislator to colleagues: 'Your laws not authorized by Constitution'

As a reminder of the federal government's limited powers, 20 representatives want to ensure that every single piece of legislation passing through Congress includes a statement citing specific constitutional authority for enacting it.
Sponsored by Rep. John Shadegg, R-Ariz., H.R. 450, or the Enumerated Powers Act, states, "Each Act of Congress shall contain a concise and definite statement of the constitutional authority relied upon for the enactment of each portion of that Act. The failure to comply with this section shall give rise to a point of order in either House of Congress. …"
When he introduced the proposal Jan. 9, Shadegg gave a House floor speech reminding his colleagues of limited authority granted in the 10th Amendment of the United States Constitution.
It states, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

PLEASE TAKE THE INITIATIVE IN GATHERING SIGNATURES TO PROMOTE BOTH OF THESE BILLS!!!
