Dear Friends and Network members. The above is an example of a pdf file Sign that you can post for your Neighborhood/Precinct Caucus event that occurs next Tuesday, March 23rd. ALL Utah GOP Caucuses are held next Tuesday Evening, March 23rd. These events are extremely important, the most important SINGLE EVENT in defeating Senator Bob “Bailout” Bennett. These events are organized by County in Utah. You need to do a Google search on “Your County” +GOP to find info on the Caucus Meeting location.

A couple of Utah State GOP links may help you find information on these events for your County/Precinct.
http://www.utgop.org/events
http://www.utgop.org/county/info/saltlake

Each Caucus will meet at a place by Legislative District. Your Legislative District is the same number as your State Representative’s District. At each Legislative District location, the Caucuses will then split up by Voting Precinct, into Precinct Caucuses (or multiple Precincts if not enough attendees).

By voting Precinct, each Precinct Caucus will then elect Precinct Officers. Each Precinct Officer serves two years. The Precinct Officer positions are:

Precinct Chairman
Precinct Vice Chairman
Precinct Secretary
Precinct Treasurer
Precinct State Delegate
Precinct County Delegate

The Precinct Chairman and Precinct State Delegate are the two key important positions. These Precinct Officers will go to the Utah State GOP Convention on May 8th at the Salt Palace. They will have voting power over the candidate to run for Senator Bennett’s seat in the Convention. If no clear Candidate emerges with 60% of the delegates vote, then it becomes a Primary Runoff between the top two on June 22nd. Let us all ACT to make it any other two than Bob Bennett, or better yet only one.

Calendar:
March 12-19 Filing for all elected public offices
March 18 Post enclosed Caucus notices / posters and notify neighbors of the time and location of the upcoming Republican Caucus in your precinct.
March 20 Check this instruction guide for preliminary set-up requirements.
March 23 Neighborhood Caucus – 7:00 p.m.
Following the Caucus, Voting Precinct Chairs should return the Caucus Roll, the donation envelope, and the Precinct List of Registered Voters (if available) to their legislative district chairs or the County Party.
May 8 Utah Republican Party State Convention Salt Palace, Salt Lake City
May 21 Primary Election mail-in (post-mark) registration deadline
June 7 Walk-in Voter Registration Deadline for Primary Election
June 8-19 Early Voting - MUST be registered by May 21
June 22 Primary Election

Note that anyone can go, but only registered Republicans can participate. Get/Check your voter card, make sure your County/State has accurate voter information for you in terms of Name, Registered Republican, Phone Number, Address. Do not let a technicality defeat your appointment as a delegate or officer. “We The People” will take the power.

I encourage you all to attend your Caucus in force, bringing as many friends and neighbors as you can. I remind you that Senator Bennett has a lot of money in his campaign warchest, and this will be used as necessary. If you do not plan on being a delegate, at least attend, get involved, and vote against delegates representing Candidates you are against. God Bless, and “We The People” will take this process back into our ownership. It’s our Country, our State, our Counties and our homes, and by God, they will represent US and we will make them realize that, or WE will terminate them!

Some County Examples:

Salt Lake County:

Weber County:

If any of you have any problems locating your Caucus Meeting, send me a friend request or email, and I’ll help you. I’ll be watching this post up till March 23rd. If I’m wrong in any of the above technical details, please correct me.

I posted this on the main Utah discussions but I think it is more applicable here so I am posting it here too:

For anyone up in the Cache Valley area, the local Tea Party Coalition is sponsoring a few events first thing in January. On the 7th we have invited Mike Lee to come speak because we heard on the radio that he is going to announce candidacy for US Senate soon and we wanted to get to know him. The other is on Jan 9th and is a States' Rights workshop. See this link for details: http://cacheteaparty.blogspot.com/

I believe they are talking about the Arizona border not Texas. I'm not sure about their change in the SOP. Arizona has a State law for smuggling. I don't advise arresting because of the lack of immunity.
