Who Is God , And Where is The Kingdom

Who is God, and where is the kingdom of God? Does the Word of God clearly speak on these two questions? If you were asked to answer these questions, could you? To truly understand God and how to walk in his ways, I believe these two questions are imperative. If we don’t understand them, then I believe we may be walking in less than what God would have for us. And our ability to do the work of God is severely hindered.
If we read in John 4:24 we read - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. And in 1Timothy 1:17 - Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. As we read in these two short scriptures we understand that to find God we must look past the natural and the flesh. To truly worship him we must do so in spirit, not in a carnal mind, and it must be done in truth. Meaning that God knows and understands our intentions, and if we are indeed seeking him or simply playing church. We must understand that there is indeed the natural world and then there is the spiritual world. To commune with God, we must approach the spiritual.
So we know the basics of God and how to commune with him, but where is the kingdom of God. Does the Word speak on this to? Yes is does. If we read in Luke 17: 20-21 - And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said the kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! Or, lo there! For, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Much of what we search for already lies within use for it was God himself that breathed life into us, as read in Job 33:4 - The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
The thing is, it is our choice to which we feed the most- the flesh or the spirit. In my spiritual upbringing I was taught in a manner like this. In a metaphoric speaking it is much like having two dogs within us- a good dog and than the bad dog. Whatever dog we chose to feed the most, that dog will be stronger than the other. Now compare these two dogs to the flesh and the spirit. Which one do we feed the most? Do we educate ourselves and strengthen ourselves in our spirit, or do we walk in the flesh, and never truly reach our fullest potential. Perhaps many have never even communing with God at all. The Word says God is a spirit, and to fully commune with God we must exercise our spirit. We must die daily to ourselves, often denying the flesh of it wants. Lower the flesh and raising the spirit. The Word reads in Romans 14:17 - For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
The entire truth of all things can indeed be found in God, but God seeks people that seek him in honestly and truth as well. We must decide to either go all the way with God, or to simply never take that first real step. Step forward today and receive what God has for you. Grow in wisdom and understanding, grow in God.
