committees of safety, preparation, disaster,
Fellow Patriots,
I'm sure it comes as no surprise to anyone in SD-7 that we must be prepared for disaster - after all, we live smack in the middle of Hurricane territory. There are, however, other emergencies for which we should be prepared.
Would you be ready if. . .
- We run headfirst into a depression as is being predicted?
- Unemployment continues to rise? 20%, 30% or more?
- You lose your job or business for a long period of time?
- The state can’t afford to unemployment benefits for all that need it?
- Bankruptcies and home foreclosures become commonplace?
- Food supplies were to become scarce (or non-existent)?
- There was a panic and the grocery stores were emptied in a few hours?
- Power was to go out for a month or three months or even longer?
- Water and Sewer systems went down?
- Police and Fire services stopped?
- All services fail and anarchy rears its ugly head?
- Due to economic stresses crime were to substantially increase?
- - Due to panic or disaster our current form of protection (police and sheriff) were to become overwhelmed?
- Due to increased reliance on the Welfare and Security systems they were to become overwhelmed and collapse?
I'm not trying to scare you half to death but with the economy in turmoil, Mexico on the brink of collapse with the probable resulting flood of starving Mexicans descending on Houston and Obama at the helm, these scenarios could come visit you. Could you survive for six months with no outside help?
Even if you can, can you prevent other people from taking your food, water, guns/ammo and other assets you may have accumulated? Can you ADEQUATELY protect your family? Do you have the skills such as farming, medical, food canning, ammo reloading, water gathering/purification, etc. to be reasonably comfortable for an extended period of time?
There is safety, security and support in numbers but if you haven't organized, there likely will not be a second opportunity should the worst happen. Are you ready?
So. . .the purpose of this discussion is to assist you in organizing within your town, community or neighborhood to deal with any forseeable disaster up to and including a small nuclear detonation or dirty bomb in downtown Houston.
I have attached a flier for an Organization called the Committees of Safety. Please take a look.
