I've been trying for several months to generate some interest and concern for our future in the 27th District but so far with almost no success. It is a very unusual District as it was clearly Gerrymandered to be a solid Hispanic Democratic District. As I started my venture it was my hope to get enough grassroots interest to build on to do our small part to preserve out great country. Maybe I have just been whistling into the wind but I refuse to roll over and give up. We have to begin to get a voice in Washington, no matter how weak at first, to stop the downhill run we are on to destruction. I may also be very naive to have this goal but again it must be tried. Individually, I have talked with a lot of our Hispanic neighbors who are equally concerned about the path we are on but as a block they seem to be sheep in the Democratic herd. Now is the time to begin to our efforts for 2010 as it won't be an easy hill to climb but we have to try. Obviously I haven't been able to find the right button - do you have any ideas? Please join me.

Hi, Edward! I just did a search for a meetup group in the Brownsville area and the closest I found was one in McAllen and one person an a waiting list for one. If you go to www.meetup.com and search on liberty or Constitution or patriot or some search term, for your area, you might find more people interested in a group. Here in Corpus, we have several groups with much overlapping membership. There are at least 2 groups that meet weekly and two others that meet monthly. You don't have to live in Corpus area to join the two meetup groups, Texans for Liberty and South Texans supporting the U.S. Constitution.and, membership here might be a place to start.
