Tom,
You are so right, for the Left/Liberal minded, it is all more about government. They seem to claim it is about levelling the playing field; sure don't want the ambitious getting too far ahead of the lazy.

Have you ever noticed how "reform" always means more government control? The current Health Care Reform Bill is certainly much more government control of our lives. The Democrats say that the Republicans have no ideas. During the Bush administration they had some very good ideas such as a Health Saving Plan. The problem was that the Democrats put so may stings on it that very few people could use it. Such a plan with a high deductible insurance plan would have worked great for me and my wife. We are consultants that had a small business under Subchapter S corporation. Guess what, Subchapter S corporations are not eligible. We changed to a Limited Partnership, again, not eligible. I was very annoyed with the Republicans that they let the Democrats control the Congress when they had a majority, but I would give anything to have them back again compared to what is going to happen to us under the Democrats.

Just got back from the Tea Party in Southlake, very positive and Kenny Marchant and Mark Davis were speakers. Small group of count-protesters with signs were in the back, but I could not hear them from where I stood. Overall, a fairly good turnout, but had hoped the whole of Town Square could have been full. Just joinedthis group this a.m. - KH

Hi Jack. Downtown Dallas in front of City Hall. I am catching the train at Ledbetter and Lancaster. Would you care to meet me at the Station? I will be going with Wanda J, District 30 Coordinator. We could ride back and have a group. One of the guys is renting a hotel room for us to use for bathroom breaks and a few minutes sitting down time.

Just wondering where the tea party for our area was going to be?

Hi everyone in Congressional District 24. I wanted to keep everyone informed about the upcoming Dallas Tea Party on Wednesday April 15th.

I have been in contact with the Dallas Tea Party organizer. This will be a great opportunity to support their activity, and at the same time get some exposure for resistnet. It would be great if we all meet there and assemble as a group, in support of the tea party. We need to bring some signs to show our solidarity, but the signs should not say anything about being against obama or the Democrats. This is not a political rally in as much as it is a protest about spending and taxes.

Our signs should have some reference to our support of the tea party though, so we can get some exposure. Something like "resistnet promotes lower taxes and less government spending" or "The Patriotic Resistance resists governments spending spree" or anything like that. You can probably come up with better words, but the theme is what I am trying to demonstrate.

Does anyone know someone that can make (donate) a banner for us that says The Patriotic Resistance in large letters, and something like come join your fellow patriots at www.resistnet.com in smaller letters? One about five feet wide that we could attach to two poles that two of us could hold. There is local and national news coverage planned for the event.

Please do all you can to be there. This will be our first test to see who the real resistnet supporters are. We have some great conversations in the discussion forums, but now it is time to get actively involved.

There is a meeting on Wednesday April 8 at 7:00 pm for anyone that wants to attend a planning meeting. They are looking for volunteers for several activities leading up to the event.

The meeting will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 10110 Shoreview Drive Dallas, TX75238. Please let me know if you are going to attend. I will be there, and I would be honored to meet all of you.

I'll keep in touch in the coming days.

Warm Regards,

Ron

There is meetup group associated with Glenn Beck's 912 project that is in the pre-Tea Party stage. All here who would also like to join that group can do so at:

http://www.meetup.com/North-TX-Mid-Cities-Power-to-the-People/

There is a meeting in Arlington on Apr 3rd.. I joined and plan to attend.

I would like a strong showing of DFW area (or anyone else that may be in the area) resistnet members at the Dallas Tea Party on Wdenesday April 15th, 2009. I took a vacation day for that day to be sure not to miss the tea party. For those that cannot get the day off, or half a day off, the highlighted activities start around 5:00 PM. This is going to be a big event. A local radio personality will be there, and I'm sure will talk about it on his show the next day.

This is a good opportunity for resistnet members to join with the good patriots putting on the tea party, to show our support, and to expose resistnet to another group of people that might also join our network.

I have been in contact with Phillip Dennis, the Tea Party organizer, about our participation. He has indicated that he would be glad to have us. I will be in contact with him later today to get more details. In the meantime, please go to the following link to research the event.

Thanks,

Ron

I agree 100%. I would be nice to see at least 100 or more. Seems the Patriotic Resistance is growing--though not as fast as I thought it would. Hopefully we'll get more members here in the 24th. Have you with Ron E. the TX, North State Director?

Do you know if there is a way to filter the Resistnet member data base for others in this area that haven't yet joined this group?
D Easton Comment by D Easton on March 19, 2009 at 7:52am
I looking to help out any way I can. I actively write to Congressman Marchant and feel he is a real conservative voice for us in DC. I'd be glad to meet with others here in the 24th to the issues. Two rapidly growing conservative movements is the National Tea Party, and Glen Beck's The 912 Project. I encourage all here to participate in the up coming events.
