Thanks Andy; I've been taking a rea;;y unwarranted "Wait and See' wondering how many constructive responses I could get to my idea of a petition. what surprises me is that this idea isn't getting kicked around by others than you and I. if I, (we, whoever), gets up a petition, i wonder from the way subjects get blithely ignored here by simply changing to another thread of conversation if (1). does this idea have merit or is it just me. (2) If it does have merit; then who has the right to propose such an idea. In other words do we need an "in crowd member" or the divinely appointed to take this football and run with it, or (3) Is making such a petition of the governor too risky and dangerous putting one in a high profile in our defense of our, (our children's), liberty.?

This pink slip thing is really moving. Just google "pink slips for congress" and go down to the WMD site. This is the headline story for CBS and FOX new online. This is something we can all do to get their attention and try to stop the madness.

Has anyone else seen the pink slips being sent to DC. Saw it last night on Greta, hundreds of thousands sent to house and senate. They send the pink slip stating they will be fired in 2010 if they vote for health care and cap and trade. The link is, sendapinksliptocongress.com. There are 3 organizations doing this, goes to every house and senate member. Pretty cool way to get the word to them.

Not necessarily better, but have you considered posting that on the main Texas page to see if there might be other Texas memebers of resistnet who would contact their state rep with the same request? My thought is to see if you (we) might get several co-sponsors for that type of a bill to have it ready before the legislature reconvenes. Just a thought.

Yesterday, I sent Ruth Jones McClendon, my state rep., an e-mail expressing my thoughts on the need for an ammendment to preclude any religious court, ruling or action from superceding the Texas code of jurisprudence. Also that Texas needs a sovereignty bill with "teeth" and that A special session of the Legislature needs to be called Now to accomplish this legislation promptly. I haven't heard back from Rep. McClendon because I am only one person. If anyone has a suggestion, comment, criticism or modification so far; Sound off. I will go to www.petitiononline.com unless someone knows a better plan of attack.

Gov. Rick Perry had some pretty strong comments about the Obama administration on Wednesday in Midland, saying, “This is an administration hell-bent on taking America towards a socialist country.”

TEXAS NEEDS a SOVEREIGNTY LAW "With Teeth", (I'm told that Montana and Tennessee have examples of the same in progress), and an Ammendment to The State Constitution stating that Sharia law shall not replace or suppercede the jurisprudence of the state of TEXAS and no local governmental unit, township, village, city or any municipality shall make local ordinances that will mandate to the contrary. This ammendment should be extended to include other religions, organizations or cults. These two initiaives will take care of much. but we can't ignore the possibility of localalized upheaval. the county sherriff also takes an oath to defend the constitution and Sherriff Mack has an intitiative underway regarding this http://www.sheriffmack.com/. After what recently occurred at Ft. Hood, the alarm bells will be going off in Washington, specifically in D.H.S. with three new members who probably don't want to see the creeping tentacles of Sharia law and finance impeded. so haste is in all probability necessary. We can always use good information, meaning data that has been verified and validated. Bill also has told me of "The Contract with America" that they have that can be presented to state legislators. If they read it and agree and sign it we know we have a patriot representing us, if not we know we are looking at a Fascist, totalitarian leading incumbent to throw out of office. Thanks Donna! As for me, I'm reacquainting myself with the Constitution and the Federalist Papers, so that I can refresh myself on both the exact language, and on some of the Founding Fathers' rationale behind the Constitutional language. Our government, with the acquiescence of 'we, the people' has gone far beyond the unbelievably wise limits established by those gentlemen. I really feel that we all need to make ourselves Constitutionally 'smart,' so that we can know and communicate why so much of what's coming out of Washington (and our state capitols) is not only economically, but CONSTITUTIONALLY, wrong.

Well, that's enough for now, this veteran is now going out in my backyard to cut some brush and enjoy Veteran's Day!
