It is a pleasure to serve the 11th Congressional District as the Texas West State Director for the Patriotic Resistance. We are committed to a peaceful solution of protest and petition, and by using the greatest freedom we still retain - Our Voters Rights, to secure our rights to a true Democracy, defined as; 'a form of government is which power is held directly or indirectly by citizens under a free electoral system and that all members of the society have equal access to power and that all citizens enjoy universaly recognized freedoms and liberties.

By using the ballot, rather than the sword, we can, and must, elect those that best represent our voice and our right as the ordinary citizen. Local elections will be held during the next 3 months in towns and cities across Texas. There is no better time to seek out those that share your concern for voting these Sad, Unhappy, and Doom and Gloom incumbents out of office, while joining together to defeat those same types from gaining office. Join with us in helping to achieve our goal of keeping our Nation free from any type government, other than the one set forth in our Constitution, and the protection of our Rights under the Bill of Rights.

Needed immediately is are District Coordinators for several Congressional Districts. Anyone interested is encouraged to reply to this comment, or, from the Main Page you can access the Job Board.

I look forward to sharing of ideas to help grow the Patriotic Resistance and the betterment of all citizens of the Great State of Texas and The United States of America.

Thank You

While We Are Watching The Right Hand

I don’t know what would be the best way to approach this subject, but what if I were to tell you that in order for you to pay what you owe for all the benefits we get and what the government is spending right now without a health care overhaul, it would be $349,190.00. That is for all the citizens of the United States, all 300 million of us.

If you do the math, and figure out how much it would cost just the tax payers according, CNN Money.com that would be 156.3 million in 2008 instead of all 300 million of us, we would owe $670,230.33 per tax payer. Now I’m going to ask the real hard question, do you think that you can come up with that much money to fix the current financial situation of the U.S. government and balance the books? Even if we just balanced the budget, we have fiscal exposures totaling $107 trillion. Fiscal exposure is the total of all unfunded mandates, such as; Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Prescription Drug programs, and the interest on the national debt.

So while we are watching the right hand playing around with the national health care debate, and even contemplating adding to the fiscal exposure, the real problem is not being addressed or maybe it is being deliberately suppressed. This country is being bankrupted by those we have put into office over the past 50 years. It isn’t a party issue because both parties have been a “party” (no pun intended) to this systematic process. Ever since the Social Security “Trust Fund” was done away with and the funds it produced have been used to supplement the general fund, several similar programs have been initiated like Medicare, Medicaid, and most recently the Prescription Drug Assistance Program. Each of these is either under taxed or unfunded which means it is a drain on the Fiscal Budget of the United States each year. In other words, because these programs make up more than 61% of the budget each year, there is little left for National Defense or any other government purpose and we end up running deficits.

Here’s where the rubber meets the road. I’m 60 years old. I’m one of the “baby boomers”. I have paid into Social Security all of my adult life and Medicare ever since its inception. I can see the handwriting on the wall. If we want to bring this problem under control, the promises that have been made by politicians for so many years to get us to vote for them are going to have to be broken or we are going to cease to be the United States of America. Those who own our debt will mandate changes in our Constitution that will subjugate us to their will, i.e. socialism or even worse communism. We are headed for slavery of the worst kind because we aren’t willing to face up to the fact that if we don’t take the measures we need to take and keep from going bankrupt, we will be at the mercy of our international creditors (mainly China).

We need to bite the bullet and realize that politicians have duped us into thinking that “government” will take care of us in our old age when in reality they have just stolen the money from us and have used it to keep themselves in office instead of doing what is “for the best” of the country. We need to put individuals in office that can make the hard decisions on cutting these unfunded mandates or our fiscal exposure so that our posterity can live in a country that is still free. We need to say, “I will sacrifice so that my posterity can live in freedom.” Maybe if we do, they won’t ever make the same mistake that we have of relying on politicians to take care of us instead of being self-reliant.

I know that this won’t be a very popular paper, but if we are honest with ourselves and if we care for your children and grand children for generations, we will see that we are going to have to be the ones that sacrifice our retirements, free medical for the aged, and a national health care system for everyone just so our posterity can have freedom. In other words, we can’t have our cake and eat it too. May the Lord help us in making the tough decisions we are being forced to make now.

NOTE: Rep Conaway voted against this travesty that passed over his vociferous objections (I saw him on C-Span) BE INFORMED or we will be run over and pay,,, and pay .... and pay...
Interesting email I got on the CAP & TAX THAING which I am cutting and pasting from a lib green-meanie to justify why we US citizens should pay for CAP&TAX - they walk among us:
"I know we don't have cap & trade here [Canada], I was checking it out as my family may be looking at sites like this. Most people don't track their expenses so don't know their own figures, and even if they did many are too lazy to swap out that many numbers, many just trust what they've read that it will cost a lot more without looking in to it further which is what this type of site hopes for, just as the ones saying the health care bill includes euthanasia do."

Because people are 'too lazy' to research and track their own budget and key in their own figures, the merits of paying extra tax is justified for green-meanies to assess extra taxes... or else I'm contributing to 'fear'... yeesh! KMBOMS (kiss my bootie on Main Street)

e.g., YOUR New Additional Taxes if CAP&TRADE House version passes Senate: http://www.taxfoundation.org/capandtrade (replace your own figures with Govt avgs -LMH.Sr tuen me into flag@whitehouse.gov for 'didinforming you with your own figures)
AND, please don't respond to any of my posts until you have calculated your own additional tax burden - BASED UPON YOUR OWN FIGURES - you don't have to tell me or anyone on this site, but you'll know - AND PAY - if the Bill as written passes unchanged...

Latest (8/3/09) from Rep Conaway in his email newsletter: THE CONAWAY CHRONICLE, Volume 4, Issue 6

Thank you for reading The Conaway Chronicle, a review of my activities in Congress. This newsletter is to let you know what’s going on in Washington and what important issues are being debated in Congress.

On Friday, the House of Representatives finished legislative business for the next month and headed back to their respective districts for the August district work period. For the next month, I will be travelling through the 36 counties that make up District 11 speaking with doctors, patients, and hospital personnel about the current health care legislation. When dealing with issues as important as health reform, I feel it is best to hear from the experts, those who live and breathe the health care system on a daily basis, to find out what the best steps are for our country in terms of reform.

I also want to hear from the constituents of West and Central Texas and hear your thoughts on this issue to take the most information possible back to Washington in September as we continue this debate. Tonight, I will be holding another telephone town hall meeting, where we can have an open discussion on health care reform and how the current legislation being considered in the House will affect each of you. If you live in District 11 and would like to participate, please dial the call-in information below and you will be connected to the call.

What: Telephone town hall meeting
When: 6:00-7:00 pm Central
What: Open discussion regarding health care reform
Call-in number: 877-229-8493
Passcode: 13347

The Democrat’s health care legislation being considered by the House is still being debated in Congress, as it should be. Clearly, there are many issues to deal with. How will we pay for this costly legislation? Who will pay for it and how will everyone afford it? What about pre-existing conditions? The list goes on and on. There are a number of issues that still need to be addressed as a nation, and yet we are not doing so in an effective manner with the bill that will come before the House in September. It is essential that Congress take the time to get this right to ensure that the doctor/patient relationship is protected, quality is ensured, and our system becomes more cost efficient.

We are currently in the midst of the worst recession of our time. Since the recession began, six million jobs have been lost. Yet the Democrat’s health care proposal will not only impose a massive $800 billion tax increase on hard working Americans and small businesses, but will actually lead to more job losses and less coverage.

While I am a proponent of reforming our health care system, I vehemently oppose any plan that puts Washington bureaucrats between patients and the health care that they need and deserve. I stand with the majority of the American people and demand that we propose real solutions to get our economy back on track and reform this wonderful nation’s health care system.

Having had the pleasure of contact with Rep Conaway, and his staff in Brownwood, and following his votes in MegaVote tracking weekly, I am right proud to have him as my Congressman! Especially in this transformative period in Texas and the US's survival as we've known it.

Hey anybody out there? Ed is anything going on around Brownwood. These boards are very quiet. I keep writing to people that are tossing my letters, telephoning secretaries that probably don't even tell their boss, and emailing . I don't anybody is doing anything. Guess we will all just watch the illegals march for "their rights" on May 1st.
