Sounds as if you all have been busy. I always wondered how it would go when the Obamabots got into the rooms. Think about that type of mindset: they infiltrated any conservative blog they could, posting horrible stuff during the election. Now they're in here trying to ruin free speech? I hear there are plans to infiltrate the tea parties? Take pictures? Bring it on! That's not the kind of person I want representing me. To think somebody came in with the name mohammad atta is to know they are laughing at the chaos they are bringing in. My feeling is they will go away after a day or two. Apparently this site and others encouraging free speech are more of a threat than we thought!

It appears that no answer will suffice. As far as christian posts...I feature them on the front page all the time The biggest problem occurs when there is an abusive post and each person repliies to that post. Tat ost is then duplicated each time and carried o throughout the thread. As was stated in this case. I policy is to get rid of an abusive post ...if everyone hit reply to that post and carried it forward repeatedly as Terri said then we would have to indeed delete every post that did that. What happens then is that it leave a mosh pit of comments that appear out of context. So, we delete and ask the originator to repost the discussion and why we deleted it. That was done in this case and so far they have ot reposted it. As I suggested to you earlier...feel free to repost. Maybe not everyone was abusive but they were carrying that comment into their replies...that ties our hands.

As far as what other groups are doing....that is their forum to run how they decide just as this forum is ran the way grassfire decides. Thanks for your candor.

Darla, if I may call you that, the term "inappropriate postings" seems a bit vague to inform the members here about what shouldn't be posted. You might as well say "postings we don't like".

Also, I haven't found in the policy anything against arguing, yet Terri used arguing in that thread as a justification for deleting it. Can you show me where arguing is forbidden, or did Terri just made that rule up by herself?

Also, the thread that was deleted was named 'Obama says that America is not a Christian nation'. Considering that the whole discussion was deleted, how exactly was that inappropriate? Should we not talk about Obama, or topics like US being a Christian nation?

It certainly seems that way, because if there were only 1 or 2 inappropriate posts within that discussion, they were not deleted, it was the whole thread.

And while most other forums delete inappropriate threads (like those by trolls), they Do NOT delete whole threads just because it's argumentative. At worst, they close those threads. Alipac is one example.

In other words, I don't have a problem with abusive or inappropriate posts being deleted, what I object to, is when whole discussions are deleted because one person misbehaves. Wouldn't it make more sense dealing with that one person, instead of punishing everyone by deleting the whole thread?

And while I realize that this is a private forum, I'm disappointed to hear that no public disagreement with the management is allowed here. Even the libs on Facebook are allowed to disagree there, and campaign for change of rules.

Linda have you used the search feature to search your friends and make sure that they are not added? You have a lot of friends and they are usually added in the order of the date they joined Patriotic Resistance, not the date you added them as friends. So if you add a friend that has been a member since, say March they could very well end up on your 13th page of friends, whereas if you add a friend that joined yesterday they will be on your first page. Can you check that and let me know if this is what you are seeing please? Thank you!
