When freedom is subordinated to order; when more time is spent on organization building than on organizing; when "leaders" become consumed by and fall in love with the process and lose focus of the purpose, then we become slaves to authority. Becoming enslaved to authority builds barriers to thought in your mind, believing that the authorities know it all, and you are not wise enough or capable enough to function without them. - Todd Wolf

"The Conservative is the first to understand that the practice of freedom requires the establishment of order: it is impossible for one man to be free if another is able to deny him the exercise of his freedom. But the Conservative also recognizes that the political power on which order is based is a self-aggrandizing force; that its appetite grows with eating. He knows that the utmost vigilance and care are required to keep political power within its proper bounds." – The Conscience of a Conservative – Barry Goldwater

The ability to distinguish between symptoms and problems which is critical in identifying the root problem will be achieved by gaining knowledge about who and what we are dealing with. Start an on going conversation with your healthcare providers ... doctors, nurses, insurance agents and companies, people in the pharmaceutical industry. Politicians are incapable of realizing the difference between the power they have to persuade with their lack of ability to think critically about any issue. Make people aware of just how their expectations of anything intelligent, viable and/or sustainable coming out of Washington is just unrealistic ... like expecting a turtle to fly ... it isn't natural ... it isn't of their nature. High expectations ... low satisfaction. Speak out and make people aware of the contradictions. Ask the right questions and ask them often. Demand answers that speak to the question asked and not just words that fill the void of space and time in between the next question and call them on it when they don’t. The power to persuade requires some semblance of credibility. Challenge their credibility.

Hey District 6: It's been a while since there was some activity going on here. Now that the March on DC is over, what's next? We have to keep building on our momentum from last Saturday. I was there, were you? It was an event to savor and remember for a long, long time.

Part of the problem with your district is you have no real leader. How about someone coming to the plate and taking over as District Coordinator? It is very rewarding and the pay is about average for the title;) Come on, let's get some serious action going here. If not you, then who???

Hi all, Please take a moment to look at our website. We are actively attempting to find people to rally. We are also in several other Congressional Districts. We have rallied against Holden on 2 occasions. Please let me know if you can help.

Betty: I am in Harrisburg and at work today - I was not anywhere near the Rt. 113 site. I sure hope there was a crowd on the sidewalk, though!
Betty Dunkel-Hernon Comment by Betty Dunkel-Hernon on July 17, 2009 at 8:49am
Connie, Please take a head count at the rally and let me know how many show up. You will not be able to stand around the parking lot of the bank so go down to the common area near Rt. 113. There should be 4 or 5 show up. Good luck!!

It doesn't matter how many people go to Gerlach's office in Exton. It would be great for moral support if there were a dozen, but think about it, the office will be in shock that anyone at all showed up, especially on a Friday in summer! It will have an impact no matter what they say officially.
