That being said, what is the sentiment here regarding candidates for lieutenant governor, I've been tracking Steve Johnson. What are your thoughts...

Tom Corbett released his position papers this week on transportation and energy. He hit every liberal idea circulating across the country. For example, he is recommending traffic congestion fees in Philly similar to Bloomberg's congestion fee in Manhattan. He's suggesting replacing the gas tax with a mileage use tax supported by left-wing liberals on the west coast. He's pushing "green" energy initiatives and desires bringing federal EPA programs to the state level; just what we need, more bureaucracy.

Now that I've put a concerted effort into making an informed decision, I feel comfortable officially putting my support behind Sam Rohrer.

He was in Kersey, Elk County yesterday, but unfortunately I had a prior commitment and was unable to attend. I hear through facebook it was a great event.

I found an interesting discussion in CD-3. While we agree candidates we choose to support need to abide by conservative principles, it is possible to have multiple candidates capable of fitting that mold. In their own ways, Rohrer and Corbett both have conservative views on issues. PAGOP and Gleason support Corbett, is that a bad thing? I don't know, but one thing is certain, I’m not a fan of Gleason or the state republican party. While it came late, Gleason finally chose to support Toomey, a person I supported 6 years ago against Specter and continue to do so.

One thing to remember, Resistnet Congressional District Coordinators do not pick and choose who members will support. We only try to facilitate the discussion. Every voter has a responsibility to make an informed decision at the polls. In the end, the candidate who wins the primary will continue on, and whoever possesses the most conservative credentials in the general election need our support.

Tom, you're right. at the district level there is a tendency to get tied down to the congressional races, especially in a reasonably safe district like ours. This is a mistake.

I was pleased to read this morning that our congressman Glen Thompson has endorsed Pat Toomey, it's good news.

As we approach this year’s midterm and gubernatorial elections, we need to become active in rallying support for the most conservative candidates available. I’m not sure if San Rohrer is the best candidate, I think Tom Corbett has a much more detailed plan to grow the economic position of PA by harnessing the resources available, particularly in energy production.

Stay tuned, things are heating up..

All I see hear is Pat Toomey. We need to look into gubernatorial race! Sam Rohrer running against the 'RNP" machine. Look into this race. Go to sam rohrer's web sight.

A good idea would be to do both. Personal contact within the District is very important. Some people will just check one spot and move on. If I see something within my own District, I go there first.

I'm just sayin'. . .

Hi District 5! Just checking in to see what's going on. I know you are doing a good job promoting Pat Toomey, me, too! I'm wondering why you don't have more conversation going on to share and exchange ideas, complaints, plans and comments. Let's get some chatter going here. There is so much to talk about. A few ideas for you: Budget (non)negotiations in PA; possible increased sales taxes; the DC March, ACORN, Arlen Specter (the turncoat) etc etc. How about it?
