"ENEMY NUMBER ONE " Dedicated to all the Tea Party Organizers, fellow Patriots, and Veterans
2009 Lisa Mei Norton & BigDawg Enemy Number One

They're calling us Right Wing Extremists And they mock us on TV 'Cause we're united to defend our Constitution And fight against tyranny We are proud, God-fearing Americans who cling to our faith and our guns So now they have the feds all watching us Like we're enemy number one...
Up 'til now I always thought our vets were real Patriots
Who loved our country....with all their hearts
They proudly wore the uniform, they fought and died on foreign shores
When liberty called them to do their part.

Now the Department of Homeland Security
Has sounded the alarm
Calling our vets a bigger threat than the terrorists
Who want to do us harm

They're calling us Right Wing Extremists
And they mock us on TV
Cause we're united to defend our Constitution
And fight against tyranny
We are proud, God-fearing conservatives who cling to our faith and our guns
So now they have the feds all watching us
Like we're enemy number one...

We tend to be pro-life all the way, we're not ashamed to bow our heads to pray
The first amendment gives us the right to speak our minds
We don't like how our money's spent by politicians who seem bent
On controlling everything in our lives.

They're even calling us rednecks and racists
'Cause we don?t like the policies
Of our Nation's first black president
In our great history.

They're calling us Right Wing Extremists
And they mock us on TV
'Cause we're united to defend our Constitution
And fight against tyranny
We are proud, God-fearing daughters and sons who cling to our faith and our guns
So now they have the feds all watching us
Like we're enemy number one...

Through our faith in God, who we still trust
America was born
But freedom lost is forever gone
Our founding fathers warned.

They're calling us Right Wing Extremists
And they mock us on TV
'Cause we're united to defend our Constitution
And fight against tyranny
We are proud, God-fearing Patriots who cling to our faith and our guns
So now they have the feds all watching us
Like we're enemy number one...

Yes now they have the feds all watching us
Like we're enemy number one...

Yes now they have the feds all watching us
Like we're enemy number one...

Lisa Mei Norton is a retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant turned singer/songwriter. She is a wife, a mother, a Christian conservative. She has been involved in music her entire life in venues ranging from singing in school choirs and military bands to performing around the world with the Air Force's elite entertainment troupe, Tops In Blue. She just recently decided to work on her own music and really turned the heat up during last Fall's election cycle with her tribute YouTube video to Governor Sarah Palin and a campaign song she co wrote with her friend "Big Dawg". She and her co writer recently completed two new songs (both of which are currently #1 songs soundclick.com)inspired by the Tea Parties and they continue to work on new songs to help get the message out...that NOW is the time for all true Patriots to speak out. She will be releasing her compilation CD with all of her patriotic songs this Fall. CAP 'N TR8TORS BLUES What were you thinking on the day you betrayed Your constituents by voting YES on Cap and Trade?
You're nothing more than RINOs, your actions clearly say
It's all about you at the end of the day
We jammed your phone lines telling you to say "NO"
Yet you cast a YES vote when called for the roll.

Cap & Tr8tors you think you're cunning
Elephants don't forget so if you're thinking 'bout runnin',
Bono Mack, Castle, Lobiando, and Lance
Give it up now, you don't stand a chance
Reichart, Smith, Kirk, and McHugh
You Cap & Tr8tors...We're through with you!

The global warming tax scam helps the left achieve
More government theft of our basic liberties
The Bill you supported will put millions out of work
It matters not to you, 'cause you got your earmark perks
Claiming it's a regulations and not a brand new tax
Accepting undercover deals and hiding all the facts.

Cap & Tr8tors you think you're cunning
Elephants don't forget so if you're thinking 'bout runnin',
Bono Mack, Castle, Lobiando, and Lance
Give it up now, you don't stand a chance
Reichart, Smith, Kirk, and McHugh
You Cap & Tr8tors...We're through with you!

Fifteen hundred pages no way you could read
Loaded with all that pork promoting endless greed
Wasn't even printed when the speakers took the stand
Just a last minute pay-off slid in at 3 AM.
It ought'a be crime to vote on a bill
That no one even read up there on the Hill.

Cap & Tr8tors you think you're cunning
Elephants don't forget so if you're thinking 'bout runnin',
Bono Mack, Castle, Lobiando, and Lance
Give it up now, you don't stand a chance
Reichart, Smith, Kirk, and McHugh
You Cap & Tr8tors...We're through with you!

You capped your career, traded your integrity,
For the biggest tax hike in U.S. history .
Smack dab in the middle of a deep recession.
You'll be the ones to blame when we hit a depression.
Listen up Senate, don't make the same mistake
We the people, vote "NO" to Cap and Trade.

Cap & Tr8tors you think you're cunning
Elephants don't forget so if you're thinking 'bout runnin',
Bono Mack, Castle, Lobiando, and Lance
Give it up now, you don't stand a chance
Reichart, Smith, Kirk, and McHugh
You Cap & Tr8tors...We're through with you!
Listen up Senate take a clue we're watching you
Hey Congress WE the People are watching you

Today we remember those who died serving our nation.

Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. There are many stories as to its actual beginnings, with over two dozen cities and towns laying claim to being the birthplace of Memorial Day. There is also evidence that organized women's groups in the South were decorating graves before the end of the Civil War: a hymn published in 1867, "Kneel Where Our Loves are Sleeping" by Nella L. Sweet carried the dedication "To The Ladies of the South who are Decorating the Graves of the Confederate Dead" (Source: Duke University's Historic American Sheet Music, 1850-1920). While Waterloo N.Y. was officially declared the birthplace of Memorial Day by President Lyndon Johnson in May 1966, it's difficult to prove conclusively the origins of the day. It is more likely that it had many separate beginnings; each of those towns and every planned or spontaneous gathering of people to honor the war dead in the 1860's tapped into the general human need to honor our dead, each contributed honorably to the growing movement that culminated in Gen Logan giving his official proclamation in 1868. It is not important who was the very first, what is important is that Memorial Day was established. Memorial Day is not about division. It is about reconciliation; it is about coming together to honor those who gave their all.

In Flanders Fields (May 1915)

"In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.

Take up your quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields."

We cherish too, the Poppy red That grows on fields where valor led, It seems to signal to the skies That blood of heroes never dies.
