66 and 67 were voted down by Umatilla and Morrow Counties. But the rest of the State did not think as clearly as we did. This event was followed by the State of the Union Speech..what a revolting couple of days! I shall leave the SOTU to the national reporters and broadcasters to discuss, save one observation.
Obama and the 66/67 Tax issue were financially supported by the UNIONS.
It appears that union exemption from taxes, special favors to unions, bribes to unions and "get out of jail free" passes to unions has made it possible for more of their money to go to the liberal causes. The near-landslide vote in Oregon means the Class Warfare Socialists WON!
Spay and neuter your liberal neighbors....sorry, but that is all I can think of today, I have a headache!

I would love to see eastern, central and southern Oregon break away and form our own state.

Great idea, we could probably get a chunk of Idaho and Washington to join in. After the revolution/rebellion we may not need it............................uh, we will still need it!

I live in the Valley, please take us with you...I think we must be realistic though. What needs to be done is recruit "Scott Brown" type candidates...even my DEMO husband is seeing the light. So, if he can turn, so can others. Yeah, I know our mixed marriage (politically speaking) in't easy. We've agreed not to discuss political issues. So I was surprised when one day he confessed his Scott Brown admiration. Folks, there is hope. Just keep movin' forward speaking the truth. One day, who knowsl Oregon could return to it's conservative, fiscally responsible roots.

These week there was 4000 more new unemloyment claims. Oregon leads the nation this week in jobless claims! House Rep (R-Roseburg) Bruce Hanna explains.
Check out this video. What does Oregon have in common with New Jersey? Do you think measures 66 & 67 had anything to do with the new unemployment claims?

Part of the blame we must accept ourselves. The turnout was low. How in the Hell can that be, when you only have to walk to your mailbox, or to the Post Office to vote? If all of you out there who are complaining, who didn't vote, I place the blame on you. We knew ahead of time that Multnoma, and Lane were going to turn out enmass, heck they live on handouts. they actually believe that all Corporations are "Fat Cats" instead of knowing that over 95% of al Oregon Businesses employ fifty or less people.
The reason anyone with a business becomes a Corporation is that when, not if, you are sued, you will not lose your home, and savings and all that, just the business, if you lose.
We already have the snowballs rolling with high numbers of very small, less than ten employees shutting down, because no one can pay tax on their 'Gross Sales', no one. Now even if you didn't sell one thing, your tax went from ten bucks to one fifty. All retroactive through 2008.
Same thing with 66, can't deduct the Federal Tax any more, and that too is retroactive back through 2008. The fools who voted 'Yes', didn't take a moment to consider the repurcussions of those Measures passing, but we did. They had a great turn out. We did not.
Let us all take this as a lesson learned and make it a 100% turnout in November this year. Maybe then we can look forward to correcting some of the mistakes made for the past twenty or so years. Actually a lot longer. In my lifetime it started when the State made it illegal to drive on all Ocean Beaches. What had been designated as our Oregon Public Highway, the Ocean Beaches, went to the State, and State's control. No more picking up shells and rocks or getting firewood. No more fun. And we let them, because we were too lazy to even read our own Constitution at that time!
We are the same Citizens now, only instead of the youngest voters, we are among the older and should be the wiser. Let us not forget our mistakes and take resposibilities for our past and learn from it. Those of you who voted, I praise you. Those who did not, there is no excuse good enough, unless you were dead, or comatose.

80,000 ballots went in the garbage! I talked to at least two of my fellow workers and both just dropped their ballots in the garbage. I won't print my response to them!

Sounds like Oregons has its own KGB going at work, in Multnoma. Figures. For everyone one, if at least ten days prior to election and you have not received you election ballot, go to your County voter registration office and demand one.

I have to wonder how much the transient students at PSU, OSU and Uof O had to do with the outcome here! I've seen this happen before in corvallis, The board wanted the library updated, the residents in the county didn't, the bill passed and a lot of money was spent on the library! OSU students voted in this one. Why should they care it was our tax dollars, they went home to whereever they came from. OUR GOVERNMENT HAS NO SHAME!

Voter turnout is the key to victory this fall! As individuals we can assure our registration is in order.....the University "transient" issue was hard to overcome in the olden days, shoud be a snap to cross-reference with the computer systems of today, oops.....I forgot that will require additional funding for the Oregon KGB. It is far easier to allow the manipulation of data by the $40+K entry level Unionized Clerk.....they are already funded and dues paid!!! OUR GOVERNMENT IS PROUD OF REDISTRICTING AND ACORN TYPE REGISTRATION.......SHAME HAS NO PLACE IN THE CURRENT POLITICS OF OREGON!
