Remember, there's gonna be a lot of people favorable to Nelson at the McCook meeting, since its his hometown. In fact, you'll probably be outnumbered

We got there early, thinking that it might fill up, but actually people didn't start coming til about 2:30. The crowd was very polite to him. There were a few times someone said something that got some applause. The McCook hospital administrator was the moderator and controlled to asked questions. He played to one side of the room heavily although there were no questions/comments that I would consider pro Obamacare. I raised my hand each time and I think they took one question from our side of the room (the right side, of course). I guess I shouldn't have worn my Washington D.C. shirt. He even went to questions written on cards rather than people with their hands up. They looked right through me. So afterwards, I went up to Senator Nelson and shook his hand, looked him in the eye and said, "you know, if they had allowed me to ask a question, I probably wouldn't have been THAT hard on you". He replied, "I don't have anything against the Tea Party People". I said, "Well, I couldn't get past your People". One of his aides asked if I had filled out a card, and I replied, "several".
Had I asked a question it would have been about cloture (Julie's suggestion when I was having a hard time picking just one question). This needs to be pushed in emails, phone calls and faxes. It is a strategy he uses to "save face" enable a vote then vote "no" knowing it will pass anyway. Tell him this is the same as a "yes" vote, like in the Sunstein case.
