Obama says immigration overhaul is essential

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama said Friday he is committed to a comprehensive immigration overhaul that includes a way for illegal immigrants to become U.S. citizens.

OPINION: Obama is committed to harming every legal American man, women and child in the United States by making the jobs, and financial burden, disaster that the U. S. has been experiencing for decades a permanent one by granting the more than 13 million plus illegal immigrants citizenship, making the problems caused permanent.

Obama is hosting a small group of senators and House members at the White House next Thursday to discuss how to move the stalled issue forward, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said. People who disagree with the president's positions on immigration reform are among those being invited, he said.

OPINION: Not that it matters, but of the small group, will those that disagree be of equal numbers of those that support Obama? The meeting held should be to inform all that established immigration laws will at last be enforced and illegals deported rapidly instead of housed and feed at the taxpayer’s expense.


"We know the votes aren't there right now," Gibbs said, adding that one way to try to change that is to talk about legislative approaches different from previous proposals.

OPINION: We do not want our representatives to talk Mr. Gibbs, they ALL each and everyone of them, including Obama know what our position is; NO AMNESTY – NO REFORMED IMMIGRANTION LEGISLATION!

Obama told the Esperanza National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast and Conference that U.S. borders must be strengthened to thwart illegal immigration. But he also supports giving the millions of people now in the U.S. illegally the chance to become citizens.

OPINION: Strengthen U. S. borders to STOP illegal immigration, not thwart it, and there is NO CHANCE for the millions of ILLEGALS now in the U. S. to become citizens, NO WAY.

He said they must pay a fine and taxes, learn English and "go to the back of the line" of people trying to enter the United States from their home country.

OPINION: [1]. Any fine imposed could not in anyway justify the amount that it cost U. S. taxpayers in monies, benefits, healthcare, housing, medicare, welfare and education cost. [2]. Learn English, everything is equally in Spanish now, no need to learn English, who’s Obama trying to fool – millions of legal English speaking Americans (as well as legal immigrants) can not get jobs because they are not bi-lingual, they do not speak Spanish. [3]. They must “go to the back of the line” of people trying to enter the U. S. from their country???? Let’s see? They pay a fine (less than A penny on A dollar), they learn English (don’t hold your breath), and they go to back of the line (in name only, they remain here) while NEVER leaving the U. S. and remain here making money, collecting every benefit available, living the good life, that’s some DEAL, and all at our expense

OBAMA THINKS:

"That is the fair, practical, and promising way forward, and that's what I'm committed to passing as president of the United States," Obama said.

He added: "The American people believe in immigration, but they also believe that we can't tolerate a situation where people come to the United States in violation of the law, nor can we tolerate employers who exploit undocumented workers in order to drive down wages."

OPINION: We, the American people believe in legal immigration, key word, LEGAL and we want those that enter the U. S. in violation of our law be charged and deported and we are tired of being forced to tolerate by our government illegal immigrants being hired by shady employers allowing them to exploit legal American workers in order not to pay fair wages.
