Want to motivate the wimpy Republicans-In-Name-Only to start following the Constitution? Want better conservative Republican Party candidates with a chance to win the primary and general elections? Then volunteer IMMEDIATELY to become a Republican Party precinct committeeman. Precinct committeemen elect the leadership within the Party and vote to endorse the Republicans in the primaries. The more conservatives in the precinct committeemen ranks, the more conservative the leadership and the primary winners will be.

Here’s a typical example of the situation: Maricopa County, Arizona. Includes Phoenix. About 6,000 precinct committeeman slots exist in Maricopa County for the almost 700,000 registered Republican voters. Only 2,000 of the slots are filled, and there’s about a 50-50 split in the ranks between conservatives and moderates. Of the 2,000 elected precinct committeemen, only about 800 showed up at the Maricopa County Republican Party Convention this spring to elect the leadership and vote on party resolutions. ONLY 800 Republicans OUT OF 700,000 registered Republicans were, on that day, “the Republican Party.” Want to be one of them? Knowing what you know now, why wouldn’t you want to be one? If we conservatives could fill just 1,000 of the 4,000 vacancies, we’d have a solid 2 to 1 ratio of conservatives to moderates.

Nationwide, about half of the precinct committeemen slots in the Party are open. We could cause a conservative revolution if we could get conservatives to fill those open slots. The current Party leadership would be afraid the “new conservative blood” would throw them out in the next election. The incumbents would fear that the “new conservative blood” would endorse the best conservative challenger in the primary instead of endorsing them. The only fear that will motivate them is the fear of losing their jobs. Precinct committeemen are in the BEST position to make that happen. So, please, if you care about the future of your country, become a precinct committeeman. Now! Go here for some detailed information:

The Maricopa County GOP web site has a good explanation of the precinct committeeman position:

Thank you,

Cold Warrior

I am only one. But I am a conservative Republican Party precinct committeeman and trying every way my feeble brain can think of to recruit more of them as fast as possible.

American first, conservative second, Republican by necessity.

The South Carolina Republican Party announced Monday that it’s uniting with tea party groups in the state to share resources, coordinate messaging and push the GOP in a more conservative direction.
The points of contact between the state party establishment and the grass-roots will be the Greenville County Republican Party — one of the most conservative wings of the state party — and the Upstate Coalition of Conservative Organizations, an umbrella structure of state tea party groups.

Reply to Wes W: Hey congratuations! I missed the opportunity to run as a PC because I was stupid. However after seeing how the primary went down, working as an election judge, I have changed my mind. I will be appointed as a PC. I won't be able to vote but I will get some experience and understanding and run in 2 years. I wish you all well in your primaries, IL blew it. Keep your voters well informed. I watched people come in and request sample ballots before they voted. WHAT? How can you not know how you were going to vote before you walked in the door? That's voting name recognition. I actually had to wonder if some of them were looking for Blago's name! Don't rely on the media to give you any help. I heard Bill Crystol say that the Tea Party in IL helped elect Mark Kirk!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What universe do they live in? The Tea Parties were running as fast as they could AWAY from Kirk. Also, if your candidate can, get them on Levin and Ingraham's show first. They don't vet they just endorse the first person they talk to. I am sure it's that way with all of them. If you have a candidate that is running for the Senate, go to Senate Conservative Fund and start on Jim Demint to get his endorsement - send the candidate to D.C. or S.C. to talk to DeMint. DeMint talked to one candidate and was about to endorse him until everyone started in-putting their opinions. He didn't endorse anyone which was better than endorsing the wrong individual. Work hard and work fast. Our Tea Party candidate for Governor was Adam Andrzejewski. Lech Walesa actually came over from Poland to endorse Adam. Walesa had only come to the U.S. one other time to endorse a candidate and that was Reagan. Do you think the Chicago media covered that? Very little. Like it or not, you are working against the establishment. That's just the way it is so deal with it! Out run them and out smart them.

The fight is on in Ohio for the soul of the Republican Party. Deadline to file is Feb. 18th. Active Tea Party folks will decide the outcome.

Oh, I understand where you guys are coming from, and I agree that the power is in our hands; my concern is for those in power now, or seek those seats in gov't, but change once the power and money come along for their votes, principles be damned. It helps to know that there ARE bright, young Conservatives coming along, but what about the trappings we DON'T see, or hear about? What did Landreau and Nelson get that we DON'T see. Yes, I vote for those who are the closest to my beliefs, and concerns; that's why I've voted Republican(once Libertarian, because of no suitable candidate on either side) since I started voting. But, what has it gotten us? The only true positive, in the last 30 years, was Ronald Reagan. His legacy remains, but policies have been watered down to Republican Lite (Moderates/Progressives) Pretty sad when a watered-down Conservative is better than nothing! Please , I'm not criticizing; I'm just asking questions, because this is so important for all of us, that I want to be sure we get it right, and move forward in the right direction. I DON'T want a waffling Republican who can be bought off. And, yes I AM trying to help locally, and here by trying to get those that might be on the fence to get off, and help. Yes, to me, states' rights are far more important, so that Indiana, Michigan, Oregon, or any state won't be bullied to follow D.C., when WE have the power to govern ourselves.
Jim Sykes Comment by Jim Sykes 1 day ago
As a Republican, my positions are personal in the same way that my responsibilities are. I am for a smaller government that follows the rule of law; our Constitution; State's rights; and the federal government using only the powers given it by the States. As a United States citizen, I have unalienable (inalienable) rights which have been given to me by my God and which are supposed to be protected from violation by our federal government under the Constitution. Since we are currently forced to select one of the two parties currently existing in our country, I have elected to support the party that most closely represents these values and when that party violates its responsibilities to me as a citizen, then I chose to do everything in my power to "take back control" of that party. It might be easier to "give up" and allow the progressives to destroy our nation but I choose to honor what my ancestors fought for. If anyone out there is not willing to assume the responsibility to do the same, please forgive my declaration to "get out of our way" and continue to let others do the work for you. Too many of our forefathers have given too much for me to sit back and forget their endurance of adversity for me not to fight against everyone who is attempting to destroy the greatest nation ever conceived and established by man.
If anyone has a better way to protect our nation than to take back the only existing party that is available to accomplish this objective I am willing to consider it. Otherwise, please stop criticizing our efforts and start helping us.

Get in there (precinct) and make it yours. 2010 is Very important, yes, but there's more work to do than you can shake 9,000 sticks at. We are looking at years and years of clean up and refurbishing.
Stephen Kohut Comment by Stephen Kohut 1 day ago
I think the operative phrase is take over not take back. With solid control of the PC ranks and the county, state and national leadership positions that are controlled by the PC's we can be the new owners of the GOP. Some, like me, have been registered Republicans for years. Many of the conservatives enterring GOP PC's roles ahd been independents or even Democrats. When we are done what we have is a conservatice tea party patriot controlled GOP. We convert the Republican party into the Teapublican Party by effective control and new ownership.
Warren Edwards Comment by Warren Edwards 1 day ago
Yo Dave, ya know that is pretty funny because there is no leader of the Tea Party movement and we outnumber then 2-1. How can they possibly take over the movement? The best they can hope for would be to discredit it and splinter it. Maybe hope we will go back to sleep. But to take it over? That is laughable. No way.

A third party is laughable also. All talk, no substance. You have seen the data on all the 3rd parties combined (50 something parties). No money, no organization, no influence, no candidates worth the price of ballot paper. Only if the GOP turns it's back on a good conservative candidate will a 3rd party candidate who was a Republican get elected, and they will be backed by the tea party people.

Sarah Palin may be obligated to back McCain, but the Tea Party people will decide who becomes the Republican Senator candidate from Arizona.

Obama had less experience than Palin and got elected, so I wouldn't rule her out on her lack of anything. The better question is, who is Obama? What is he? Is he even an American? It is a little premature to start vetting Sarah Palin until it becomes obvious she is running. We have bigger fish to fry right now.

What is the GOP? What is the platform? Well guess what. If you become a Precinct Executive, Delegate, Captain..... or whatever it is called where you are from, you will get to decide what it is. Bottom line, it you want a say in what the GOP is, you will get involved NOW. It is already to late in some states. They have already held their precinct meetings and deadlines have passed. People will be on the outside looking in, just like in years past, whinging and complaining about what others have done.

It is never to late to become a voting member of your Counties Central Committee. Central committee members get to vote for their counties bylaws, Platform, day to day business and their leaders. It does take going to 3-4 meetings a year or as many as two a month. You choose the level of involvement you want. The more involved you are, the more say you have. One Precinct meeting every two years or a meeting a month. Your choice.

Isn't it nice we have young men and women willing to die for our right to participate in this process? Do them the honor of taking advantage of this precious right.
Debbie Dahma Comment by Debbie Dahma 1 day ago
In the real world, there will never be the "perfect candidate." What we must do, is select the candidates that most reflect conservative ideals. When you look at Scott Brown, he is pro-choice; that's hard to accept from a conservative, but "perfect" just does not exist on planet Earth. What we do know for certain are demos up for re-election must not be re-elected. Conservative candidates must appeal to common sense approaches to the terrible situation obama has created in one year. Voters will need to hear and understand that what obama has done is unsustainable and our chidren, grandchildren and the pre-born are in debt before they are old enough to vote. That is a crime for generations. TEA Party needs to infiltrate the RNC. While the democrat party should change its name to progressive. Republican party should change its name to Conservative.
