Photo Essay - Ft. Lauderdale Anti-Amnesty Demonstration.

s part of a nationwide demonstration, Fort Lauderdale hosted an “Anti-Amnesty / Pro-Legal Immigration” demonstration at the corner of Oakland Park Boulevard and Federal Highway. Patriots ranging in age from seven to seventy turned out to display their flags, posters and t-shirts. The total turnout (per security estimate) was 150 to 200 participants. As if reflecting the gorgeous day, there were sunny smiles all around as cars drove by with the drivers sounding their horn and displaying the “thumbs-up” sign in approval. Many drivers, showing their patriotism, even displayed US flags. David Caulkett, Vice President of FLIMEN (Floridians for Immigration Enforcement) was a highlight of the event when he spoke of the enormous costs we, as a country, bear as a result of illegal immigration.

There were smiles in evidence all around.
