Maybe it is just me but this bill makes no sense o me. If the object is to cut emissions going into the air then why let a polluter buy credits to put more emissions into our air? This bill will hurt people who live in farm states a lot. I know our heat bills could double in Indiana. Don't know about the rest of you ,but I can not afford this added amount. Also it is not just factories that are polluting our air it is also people like our President. The jet trips he and the first lady took this past week put tons of pollution into the air. Not to enclude all the thousands of dollars it cost us for nothing. Then there is Pelosi who has to have a huge jet to fly back and forth to Calif. The small one just was not good enough for " the little tin goddest" By the way have you ever seen the map on CNN in the early morning? It shows all of the air planes in the air at any given time. Now if that doesn't scare you to death then you are made of stronger stuff than I am and I don't even fly. This is something we need to keep a close eye on.

You are correct, the bill makes no economic sense nor is it supposed to. There is enough evidence to indicate that the major factor of global warming and cooling is solar activity (or the lack thereof). Currently we are in a cooling phase. China and India do not plan to make any changes of this nature. It is merely for enriching Al Gore and other false prophets of this propaganda, taxing the middle class away, and sending jobs to foreign countries.

I AGREE THAT THIS BILL IS NOT SUPPOSED TO MAKE ANY SENSE.. MAYBE A DIVERSION AND AN ATTEMPT TO FILL THE POCKETS OF GORE AND OTHERS WITH THE HIDDEN AGENDA............. WE MUST STAND STRONG.............. THE WHITE HOUSE HAS A WHOLE OTHER AGENDA AND IS NOT EVEN FOCUSED OR CARING ABOUT US AMERICANS..........IT IS UNBELIEVABLE AND I WOULD NOT BELIEVE IT IF I WERE NOT EXPERIENCING IT MYSELF..............I KNOW I KEEP SAYING PRAY BUT IT IS THE POWER OF PRAYER THAT IS NEEDED NOW ............. WE MUST DO WHAT WE CAN............. BUT WE MUST PRAY ALSO......................AND WE MUST NEVER NEVER GIVE UP OR LOSE HOPE.................. GOD BLESS.....................

Isn't it ironic that THE major producer of Greenhouse Gasses (mostly methane), is trying to regulate and tax the very same bad air that comes out of D.C?

This is the last straw to free enterprize. We will be reduced to slaves to big government. When this happens who will be willing to work if you only get an ALLOWANCE from our government? I know that I won't! Why should we have to pay to produce anything when government only produces debt! I am all for having Al Gore go out and get a real job! This is truly junk science from the start to our end !!!
