Inauguration Day Open House and Prayer Service

Faith and Action will hold an Open House and Special Prayer Service on Inauguration Day, January 20, at its ministry center, The Honorable William J. Ostrowski House on Capitol Hill, just two blocks from the site of the Inauguration ceremony. The day’s schedule of activity follows below.

Faith and Action president Rev. Rob Schenck said, “Thousands are coming to Washington for this historic day but don’t have hotel or other accommodations. Our guests will find a warm, very comfortable place nearby to rest, store their bags, umbrellas, baby strollers or whatever else isn’t allowed at the Inaugural site.”

There will also be a one-hour interdenominational prayer service for the new president and his incoming administration at the ministry center at 5:00 PM. Participants will be given a memento of their participation in the Inauguration Day Prayer Service.

All guests will be asked for a donation at the door to offset the increased cost of operating during the extraordinarily difficult Inauguration Day schedule.

INAUGURATION DAY SCHEDULE

Faith and Action Ministry Center, 109 2nd St, NE, Washington, DC 20002

Open House begins at 9:30 AM until 5:00 PM.

- Light refreshments, use of restrooms, storage of light baggage, umbrellas, strollers, etc.

Interdenominational Prayer Service for the New President and the Incoming Administration, 5:00 - 6:00 PM

- Participants will be given a memento of this Special Inauguration Day Prayer Service on Capitol Hill

There will be no parking available at or near the facility. Nearest Metro stations are Union Station (5 blocks north) and Capitol South (5 blocks south). The Ministry Center is located directly across from the East Facade of the Supreme Court, near the corner of 2nd Street, NE and A Street, NE. Look for the large yellow banner reading “One Nation Under God” and the Ten Commandments sculpture in the front garden.

Required contribution at the door will be $50 per person for all-day privileges. All cards are accepted. The facility will close promptly at 6:30 PM.

I find it hard to pray for Obama, but instead, I pray for the Lord to rid us of him by impeachment, it was by all those court cases. The man is evil, and I do not believe he will change.

I will pray that he changes into a total Christian, I will pray that he follows God's will, but other than that, i can not pray for him.

Fran I know it's hard but the word cals us to pray for our enemies, the lost, the hurting...we have to believe that God is bigger than Obama...God can change his heart. I know he can...he changed Pharoahs heart for the Hebrews.

Hi Darla it was a joy talking to you. Thanks for your love for God and country. I would love to join the Faith and Action group. I know what it is to live by faith. I am a ordained minister and and I get involved politically. I am running for Mayor of my city St. Petersburg Florida. It won't be easy because I am known as the BLACK REPUBLICAN. I am running because we need return government back to the people and make Jesus our trust.Please let me know what else I can do. I would love to head a committee in Florida ,we need God so badly in this state.
