Hi all,
We are going to have some fun with a donation we received. First, some background about the donation (it was not money, which is why we are going to have some fun with it).

Conservative Cafe (an online store that is part of Image Directly in Madison, AL) donated t-shirts to be sold for the support of the campaign. We were the first to receive these t-shirts when they were printed on Dec. 18th. These t-shirts are "Authentic DC Tea Party T-shirts" and "Authentic Tea Party T-shirts" (both of those names are trade-marked) based on signs used at the Washington DC Tea Party and the Birminghma Tea Party Express. On the back of them is a small logo that says which they are from. You can view the logos at the Conservative Cafe's website: http://www.conservative-cafe.com.

Now for the fun. We are going to have an End of 2009 T-shirt Auction!

Here is how it is going to work:

1. You must go to our facebook group to participate.
Denel for the People 2010

2. I will make a separate entry on the wall for each t-shirt we have showing a picture of the t-shirt and giving a description, as well as the size.

3. To bid, you simply put your bid in a comment on the wall under the t-shirt you want to bid on. Your bid must be higher than the bid in the previous comment. Lowest acceptable bid on these is $10.

4. All bidding will close at midnight New Year's morning (the night of New Year's eve).

5. The highest bid wins. I will send a message out to the members of the group to announce the winners.

6. Winners will receive their t-shirts when I receive the money. If the winner does not make arrangements and have payment made by Friday, Jan. 8, then the next highest bidder will have an opportunity to purchase the t-shirt at their bid.

Alrighty, then...Let's have some fun!!!

From now until January 1st, anyone ordering a t-shirt will also receive a bumper sticker. Please order your t-shirts through the website. If you need to pay by check, please send it to the PO Box on the Contribution page and be sure to include your size.

Hmmm...I think Ryan was at the class I took. I wonder why he...or anyone else for that matter...didn't tell me about the project. Oh well. I will get ahold of him tomorrow.

Yes, I meant Deborah King.

I don't think you are surrounded by red...this district hasn't voted a Republican in for anything local in over 100 years. I know several people who would be republican if they could get elected as one. I just couldn't bring myself to run as a democrat.

I sent you a message with my email & phone number in it. I don't know the website-like a moron I lost the link-but I do have the contact information which I will be happy to give you.

C. Ryan Adams
Alabama Republican Party
Deputy Political Director
205-789-6035

Tell Ryan you are interested in the Victory 2010 Project that you are running for office & I told you about it.

By Deborah do you mean Deborah King? I haven't decided if I am riding bus or taking my car-I have thought about both ways-I am like you I am not sure I want to be on bus schedule. I'll talk to a friend of mine over there-he has tried to stay pretty neutral on politics but maybe I can get him to get involved. My cousin knows everyone over there-he lives in Athens now but coached at Dreshler (or however you spell it) for 20 years, he got pretty famous locally. I can't remember the lady's name but there is a really nice lady that runs the mansion at the Country Club in Tuscumbia-she used to be & may still be very politically active-you might call her-just call the Country Club & ask to speak to the lady in charge of the mansion. I wish you lived in Lawrence County-we are the one blue county surrounded by red-this year we are going to try to flip this county. We need good conservative candidates over here. I have been involved in politics the last 30 years & this year is the most important I have known.

Victoria, thank you. I get updates from AL GOP. Can you give me a link to the Victory 2010 project? I am not sure if I have that information.
I attend the Shoals Patriots open meetings whenever I am aware of them and do not have prior commitments. I think what Shoals Patriots is doing is wonderful. I have helped with some of their rallies, and am willing to help in the future. I have not gotten to the bottom of what is causing the friction with certain people, but I do not see it as something to keep me from being involved. I also have the Shoals2DC group, that is affiliated with the National Tea Party organization now, but is not a typical tea party group. We do not want to take away from the work Shoals Patriots is doing.
I am aware of the Winter Welcome Back Rally, and plan on attending. I think they are right in their focus. I just have not had the time or means to help. I have been telling people about it, though. And I direct people to Deborah if they are interested in transportation. I personally will be driving, but that is strictly in order to be on my own time-line. I also plan on having at least a couple of people with me in the car.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I sometimes feel like I am floundering. I have a lot of support outside of the district...funny, huh? Most of the contributions I have received have come from outside of the district. I need to get more people in the district involved and aware that I am here. Please do pass on my information to people you know in Lauderdale and Colbert Counties.
And again, thank you.

I live in Lawrence Co-but will help anyway I can. I have a lot of friends over in Colbert & Lauderdale Counties. I am working with local GOP & AL GOP Victory 2010 project-have you talked to the people at this group? They are focusing on helping good conservative candidates get elected. Also, have you talked to & hooked up with the Local Teaparty there? There is a very active teaparty group there-if you haven't I can help connect you. Are you planning on participating in the Winter Welcome Back Rally sponsored by Shoals Patriots & Limestone County Patriots? I am aware that there seems to be friction between you & the local teaparty "leader" but this would not stop you from being involved. People have the right to know & evaluate all candidates.

Hey All,
I really need your help in two areas.
1. I am really needing a campaign manager and fundraising director. I spoke with one person about fundraising, but I think she is just going to help.
2. I am having a Christmas Bazaar this Saturday as a fundraiser and sort of meet & greet. I am really needing help there, just some people to help at like the registration table and such. I also need help with refreshments. I also need help with funding for it. If you all could help, or know someone who can help, please let me know. My website shows how a person can donate. http://denelforthepeople2010.com
I greatly appreciate any help you can offer.
In Liberty,
Denel

Here is the bumper sticker.
Denel Wardell Comment by Denel Wardell on December 7, 2009 at 12:19pm
Hi all. Thought I would give you all an update while my computer is running. I have been having a lot of trouble with the computer for the last couple of weeks.

Anyway, the campaign is chugging along. I have bumper stickers in the making right now. We have a Christmas Bizarre scheduled for Dec. 19th to help with fund raising. Then, I will be joining with a candidate running for US House District 5 here in AL for a Town Hall/Meet & Greet in January.

I was informed today that the head of the local Tea Party group has decided she is going to run. There has been a bit of tension between us for a while now on totally unrelated issues, so it is going to be interesting. I do not know if she will be running as an independent or Republican. If she runs as an independent, we will face off in November. However, I have the sneaking suspision she will be running as a Republican. Anyway, life is about to get very interesting to say the least.

Edmund, yes, I have seen the video you are referring to. It is disgraceful, but really not the worst I have seen our children being taught. We really need to get education out of the hands of the Federal government and back in the hands of the parents...supported by the state and local governments. The more localized we can get the decisions, with the parents being responsible, the better off our children will be. This is a slippery slope that has been going on for over 50 years. This is one of the main reasons I homeschooled.

Also, thank you for the support. The GOP will not be offering funding until there is only 1 candidate going to the general election. That will be determined either on April 2 or June 1. If I run unopposed in the party, then my general election campaign will start on April 3, 2010 and can be officially endorsed by the party.

I have not been on in a while...and I am sorry for not keeping you guys updated.

I will be having a sort of Town Hall on Jan. 5, 2010 at 7pm. I do not know the location yet, but hope to have that determined within this or next week.

I will be sharing the stage with Les Phillip, who is running for Congressional District 5 House of Reps against Parker Griffith. He is not the only Republican running for the seat, but he is the most conservative.

I am hoping to book a school gym or something like that in Lauderdale or Colbert County for this event. If any of you have any connections, please let me know.

Thanks,
Denel
