Thanks for welcoming me in your district. I am OH 1st CD coordinator. I just want to keep in touch with everyone in our area. John Boehner is a phenomenal leader and you are lucky to have him. I am working hard for Steve Chabot in the 1st district. Driehaus did some slaight of hand to overcome a good rep. Steve Chabot. Do whatever you have to do to keep Boehner. If you would all add me as friends, I'd appreciate it. Apparently I cannot add any more friends.

Jodee, AngryBuckeye, and all members of District 8, I certainly understand AngryBuckeye's feelings. It seems as if every time I make contact with any of our three representatives it appears that the response I receive is a well-rehearsed canned reply, though I must admit that John's replies to my emails address my comments or questions more thoroughly than our other so-called representatives are.
As a member of the West Chester Tea Party, I would strongly urge everyone to attend the “Voice of America Rally” on Sept 5th. The event will run from 1 – 6pm with parking opening at Noon. We are anticipating a crowd in excess of 20,000 people so I would suggest getting there early and making a day of it. A Townhall style meeting will take place during the last half of the event. I am not at liberty to disclose who will attend as we are still awaiting formal confirmation of their attendance, but I can say you will recognize the names.

It's a shame if left you with that feeling of "vote for me". That's disappoining. However, she is right if we want to remove the Dems. from being majority. But this wasn't a sales pitch meeting! Boehner needs to have town Hall meeting and face his constituants. Not his representatives. This is a very important time and he needs to address our questions himself. Telling us we can help by just attending tea parties is kind of being lazy on thier part, don;t you think? I am sure there is much more that we could do if we knew just what. She probably already knows we will be attending tea parties. Kind of a lazy answer. I am sure John is very busy, but needs to find time to listen to his people. You know, the ones who voted for him....

I attended an Open Door meeting hosted by a Boehner Rep last week. The Rep chose all the words to her answers very carefully (especially when someone asked about ACORN fraud) and I came away with the feeling I had attended more of "vote for me" kind of event.
When asked what else can we do besides what we are already doing the answer was to keep attending Tea Party type events and of course vote them out in 2010. I asked if Congressman Boehner will be holding a TH in the near future and was told he is very busy fighting for us and that something where he will be in attendance is in the works. I told her in my opinion I was disappointed that he had not held a TH himself during the recess and I understood he had prior plans but I still was disappointed as I am sure others are that some time for his Constituents could not be fit in his busy schedule. She urged us to attend the rally at the VOA Park on 9/5 also. The Rep said that the 9/15 deadline for Hellth Care passage will not be met and if it can be put off until November it will wither on the vine. There weren't many people there but others had shown up at different locations concerned about Hellth Care as well (saw that on the sign in sheet) and at the one I attended the were lots of good questions about Czars, ACORN, the Census, Cap and Trade (which the Rep said will never happen) etc. The Rep wasn't too thrilled when I mentioned the GOOOH movement either. I am glad I went and plan on attending the meeting next month and also the rally at VOA but overall I still felt the answers were sales pitches for my vote.

Sorry I haven't been active on here for awhile to answer your questions in a timley manner. Boehner was here at the country club for a Legislative dinner. Unfortuanatley, due to my health , I could not make it and I got a personal invitation. He very seldom attends the open door meetings. Only if he is close by. His reps. do it for him. I have been in contact with him nearly weekly, and he is on our side all the way. From illegal immigration to cap and trade to healthcare. We need to really trample the 9 RINOS who are trying to derail us. Congressman Boehner is frustrated along with the rest of us with the way congress is doing(i.e. not giving them TIME to read the bills. )I believe he is one of the few who is for Patriotic Americans. The RINOS and encumbants need to go. 2010 is getting close!

I did some surfing today to find out how some of our OH representatives were graded acording to the platforms of some conservative and liberal groups. Some of the outcomes were surprising while others were to be expected.

Go to the website and you can get the report card of any senator or congressman.
