Absolutely, leave the constitution alone. I can not imagine trying to find an equal group of men of virtue that could create such a document today. Lets get back to the original document, and stop worrying about writting a new one. Stop any and all constitutional conventions from both sides.

Do you see what's going on in Iran ? That's our future, a revolution is what it's going to take to change what damage has already been done too the Constitution!
The democrats are structuring the political system so as to never be out of power again,ie; Acorn,Code Pink,G.Soros,New Black Panthers,Illegals votes,and most importantly the mainstream media run By OBAMA=ONE BIG ASS MISTAKE AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Admin and everyone else who want a con-con only when "conservatives" are in power, I humbly say NO, NO, NO!!!!! I do not want a con-con called at all. I do not care who is in power, the temptation to re-write the constitution would be too great. The reason it worked in 1787, is because our founding fathers just got done fighting for the freedom they just won. They were for the most part religious men, who knew where their accomplishment and where their moral compass came from, GOD. We as a nation have squandered, let others tell us what "freedom" is, and some just want the gov't to take care of them. Those men & women did not!!!

According to Tugwell a "New states constitution" has already been wrote and is waiting in the wings. Please go to Arkansas state homepage and look up the discussion on a constitutional convention. I have posted oddles of info there.

Tom Deweese is a fellow founding member of the Constitutional Alliance as well as I. I have talked to Tom about this and agree with him. He has provided good information. His website is www.freedom21.com & www.freedom21.org. I also posted Tom's Freedom 21 Conference in August on Resistnet's homepage and urge all of you to attend.

To my fellow "extremists", some of you have read my posts about CFR, Trilateralists, Bilderbergers, and etc, etc,. MEMBERS OF BOTH PARTIES BELONG TO THESE GROUPS, SOME EVEN CALL THEMSELVES "CONSERVATIVE". While being a member of these groups don't make you a kool aid drinker, but if you are a member and want to "rise in politics" you must believe & promote the agenda these groups want. I see that Mary stated the JBS position on a con-con. I ask you to go there and research these groups for yourself and look at who are members. Do you want these people re-writing YOUR constitution?

I will ask each & everyone here, what did you do last legislative session in your state to get a rescission call for a con-con? Did you do anything? I wrote legislation that they changed @ the legal dept. in Arkansas and was able to get a freshman State Rep. Debra Hobbs, who also ran our state soveriegnty bill, to run the bill's (HCR 1011 & HCR 1022). We "shopped" these bills to the most senior Republicans and all turned us down!!! It took a freshman legislator (after 2 months of trying) to show enough courage to run these bills and we only got 3 co-sponsors from the republican party. Arkansas is a Democrat majority and the votes went straight down party lines. We have been assured that these resolutions will be run again in 2011 and I will be there GOD willing.

Please get these documents in the hands of your representatives and discuss with them why thay are important and assure him YOU will have his back with support. This is the only way it will happen and YOU have to be on top of this and stay on top of it.

With a new "progressive" constituional convention, this is what we'll get;
1) The ABU (this is what the palestinians are calling our anointed one) will be appointed for life. Ala Venezuela or Zimbabwe.
2) Every one living in the USA will be given "free" housing, education, jobs, medical, car, etc, etc, etc.
3) All senators and representatives will have that job for life. And should one of them die in office, the ABU will be the one to appoint another.
4) Any one making more than a living wage will be considered an enemy of the state. Except, of course, our politicians in Washington.
5) All colleges and universities will teach only the courses that promote the government. Any other subject that are contrary to the government will be considered an enemy of the state.

Absolutely NOT! What a horrible idea that is! I can't even imagine what would happen! I honestly think at that point I would move to TX. Still might if they withdraw from the union. I have had it with these policies and disregard of the Constitution - from both parties.

I will once again state my firm opposition to ever having a new constitutional convention.

I have spent 10 plus years studying our constitution and the writings and debates of our founding fathers. My conclusion is that even the most liberty minded conservatives of the day would find their knowledge of rights and freedom to equal that of a 2 year olds babbling compared to our Founding Father wisdom.

I hold adamantly to the fact that they made document that was able to be relevant to any social, intellectual, or influential status changes that would occur to this nation. If they had to write that document today I doubt one word would be different. Of course I am fairly confident they would oppose most amendments made after the first 10 as many grant authority to the government they were to never have.

The day some one touches that document I will move to China, we just don't have the knowledge to ever come close to reproducing it.

I just came from another John Birch Society meeting. "Beware of ArticeV" was the movie shown. Although I have seen it many times. I needed to go to get the literature needed to pass out at the Tea Parties. It is apparent that we have some opposition that will be attending. As soon as they John Birch Society county organizer sends me the PDF Files, I will post on here so that you too can be "armed".

First what makes you think there will be a constitutional convention? What evidence do you have that this will take place.?
Do you think that the changes to our constitution that were informally made by Bush and Cheney such as the basic right to know what a person is accused of prior to indictment..ha beaus corpus. although this change was made though executive power not a constitutional convention .
Your rhetoric has no substance nor evidence , it is merely presented to stir up unnecessary anger among the ignorant.

What evidence did we have that the government was doing illegal drug testing on our own soldiers? They denied it right up until they finally couldn't.

Evidence? Thirty-two (32) states have already called for a Con Con (allegedly to add a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution). 34 states are all that is required, and then Congress MUST convene a Convention. info from Tom Deweese.

Congress by authority of the Constitution has to call a con-con when this happens, now we can argue the point "Will they"? That is out of our control. What is in our control is the fact we can get our home states to rescind their applications for a con-con and make sure that not enough states have asked for one. I liken it to changing your oil in the car, preventative maintenance. Cost less to change the oil then replace a seized engine.

Also on your thoughts on Bush\Cheny, why stop there lets go back to Nixon-Carter-Regan-Bush-Clinton- and now Obama with their executive orders and stomping on the constitution and citizens rights. Blame them all!!! I don't like exec orders anymore then you do, but we have a system in place to counter act them. It is called the Legislative & Judicial branches of government. Apparently they aren't working for us and we can argue about that fact.

Please post your evidence that it isn't going to happen, I posted my research and thoughts on why I think it will happen if we do not stop it.

Not to take us off topic just wanted to add one more checked and balance that is always overlooked. You cited the Judicial and Legislative branches of government were to be the check against unconstitutional executive orders but you failed to mention the most powerful check, that of the States.

We need get away from finding the solution at the federal level and make the solutions at our State and county levels of government where we can better control them.
