I went to the ResistNet.com main page. Seems there’s three things we’re focusing on. Flip-this-House, R.O.A.R and How to Invade the GOP. And a bus tour.
Sorry, but all but How to Invade the GOP is just more of the same ("Let's get educated!" "Let's hold a sign somewhere and hear the same speeches!" "Let's have another protest"! "Let's send a piece of paper to the congresscritters!") I submit all of this is for naught UNLESS you FIRST tell the congresscritters you are coming after them where it matters -- in the voting ranks of the Republican Party.
One by one, here’s my analysis:
We have to “flip this house?” Okay. But how? Well, the audio says we have to get educated. Okay, then what? That’s as far as it goes. 21,000 people filled out a form. To do what? I guess to get educated. And then what? The “Flip this House” “strategy” doesn’t say.
R.O.A.R. has 79 members. Think 79 members are going to matter?
How to Take Back the GOP has a whopping 196 members. Whoop-dee-do. This is what we SHOULD be doing, but apparently the ResistNet.com members don't think so. Apparently about THREE-TENTHS OF ONE PER CENT of ResistNet.com members thing becoming a precinct committeeman is worthwhile.
Bottom line, we need to be steering people into the Neighborhood Precinct Committeeman Strategy. We need ResistNet members to DO SOMETHING THAT MATTERS. We have almost 66,000 members going off in all different directions DOING THINGS THAT DO NOT MATTER. We need to channel these people into ACTION THAT MATTERS. NO?
Does ResistNet.com have a state coordinator in every state? Can’t we make sure that we have the know how in every state about how to become a voting member of the Republican Party? I only have so much time. I’ve compiled on-line instructions for as many states as I can. Found Michigan’s a day or two ago and added it to my little blog. It’s had 8500 hits so far. That’s pathetic. It should have had already 8,500,000. Please promote it. And become a precinct committeeman. And get every conservative you know to do the same. THAT is what matters.

Again, the impact would be INFINITELY GREATER if we ResistNet members handed them TANGIBLE EVIDENCE of REAL, BOOTS ON THE GROUND, GRASS ROOTS POLITICAL PARTY ACTIVISIM: copies of thousands and millions of precinct committeeman applications.
The Flip this House, R.O.A.R., Bus Tour and Black Ribbon projects would all be fine if they ALL FOCUSED ON PROMOTING THE ACTUAL POLITICAL SOLUTION: GETTING INVOLVED IN THE PARTY THAT HAS THE BEST CHANCE OF THROWING OUT THE CURRENT CONSTITUTION-IGNORING CONGRESSCRITTERS – THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

When I was in the military, every time we were going to embark on something, the question always was, “What’s the mission? What are we trying to accomplish?" We defined the mission, the goal, and then we focused, focused, focused on figuring out the HOW to accomplish the mission, the goal.
ResistNet.com needs to focus, focus, focus on the goal. We know the HOW. Now we need to advertise it. We need to advertise, advertise, advertise that people need to GET INVOLVED IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY AS PRECINCT COMMITTEEMEN. DO THAT FIRST, then do the rest.

You are exactly right and thanks for getting involved.
Go to the GOP.com "new" website. Michael Steele has now successfully "buried" the Party Platform, too. Why? Because it's CONSERVATIVE and the elected Republican congresscritters ignore it.
See if there's ANYTHING on the site about becoming a precinct committeeman. Nope. They just want you to give money and man the phones for the "powers' that be" candidates; the never IMPLORE you to come into the Party as a voting member of it. If you have a Republican congressman, look at the stuff he sends you in the mail. Anything in there about HALF the PC slots being unfilled? Nope. Why not? THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO COME INTO THE PARTY BECAUSE THEY FEAR THIS ABOVE ALL ELSE.
"We the people" who have not been actually involved in party politics have to prioritize. The FIRST thing we need to do is to get to a local GOP meeting, find out the rules for becoming a voting member of the Party, and become one. If all the slots are filled, go to the meetings anyway and help the conservative PCs until a slot comes open. Don't take no for an answer. This is YOUR government -- TAKE IT BACK.

this is without a doubt the best thing i have read on this site. this is a plan of action not just a bunch of words. darla needs to read this and start the plan of action. most people are willing to take part in making a change, but they( me ) just need a leader to say this is how we will proceed. and thank you for this information and i hope this gets going. i am sick of emails, faxes, phone calls and DC protests that ALL seem a waste of time and money. so here it is, lets start implementing it.

Darla has been a big help. She is promoting this -- she took my content from elsewhere and set up this page or blog or discussion or whatever it's called here on ResistNet. She needs your support and help. E-mail her at darlagdawald@yahoo.com and let her know you support her and ask how you can help her. She gets resistance from the "I don't want anything to do with the Republican Party" crowd and the "not invented here crowd" and I assume from egotistical folks who are afraid people will leave their little fiefdom called ResistNet in favor of the Republican Party.
I don't care about any of that. Look at my blog www.theprecinctproject.wordpress.com I tried to focus, focus, focus it on one thing. We know what the problem is -- devious and unethical and cowardly congresscritters who ignore the Constitution and who routinely rob industrious taxpayer Peter to pay lazy special interest Paul. They are supposed to be there to protect the industrious individual taxpayer.
So, how BEST can "we the people" change this? One way: change the congresscritters. How? Try to keep them off the ballot? How? Try to keep them from winning the primary. How? By becoming a precinct committeeman in the Republican Party to ensure the BEST candidate wins the primary. Do that as YOUR TOP PRIORITY, then do whatever else you think will make a difference.
Only 60 per cent of eligible voters bothered to vote in the 2008 presidential election. That's pathetic. Only HALF of the Republican Party PC slots nationwide were filled in 2008. That is PATHETIC. No wonder we got creamed in the elections. I guarantee you if we had 100 per cent of the vacant slots filled with conservatives we'll get better candidates winning the 2010 Republican primaries and we'll do better in the general election and the same will happen in 2012. We'll get a decent conservative as the presidential nominee in 2012 if we INVADE AND HIJACK the Republican Party.
Or not. Make your top priority the birth certificate issue. Won't change a thing. Make it some internet project to "bring the congresscritterrs home." Won't change a thing unless you change the make-up of the Republican Party. Make it the "2009 Continental Congress." Won't accomplish anything that matters. The ONLY thing that matters is who wins the elections. Precinct committeemen have the most impact on that. Make becoming one your top priority. You'll have to get out of your chair and away from your keyboard. You'll have to meet a bunch of new people. You'll have to go some meetings and you might have to collect door-to-door in your precinct [gasp!] ten signatures (depending on your state's rules). Regardless, you are going to have to DO something. Isn't your country worth it? Your liberty? Your children's liberty?

I agree that the Forum discussions on this site should be done away with. If people just want to endlessly "discuss" the issues and complain without offering solutions it is just a waste of time. ResistNet has got to become the place that people go for real action items that will make a difference.
