A Congressional Manifesto

In 2010 "We The People" must elect public servants who are patriotic Americans who will demonstrate veracity, integrity, and competence when representing us in Washington, D.C.

Party Politics on Capital Hill are infested with "quid pro quo", dogmatic "mantras", opaque deals, fiscal insanity, and arrogance. This cannot stand.

Our Republic needs stronger safeguards that will guarantee us that our legislators are diligently representing our will once elected. I suggest that U.S. Senators and Congressmen be required to:

1. Obtain Government Financing for all Elections. No private or organization funds
2. Maintain Allegiance to State Constituents (the voters), Not Party, & Not Party Leaders.
3. Take an Oath to Abide by Principles in the Declaration, Constitution, & Bill of Rights.
4. Formulate Programs with Specific Objectives, Scopes, Financials, and Expected Results.
5. Write Bills in Clear, Concise English for all to Understand (no confusing references).
6. Certify they have read and understand Each Bill before Voting. (this is mandatory)
7. Vote for or against a Bill only on the Merits. No Earmarks or Add-ons to "Buy Votes".
8. Televise all Caucus & Committee Meetings, except for Security or Legal Reasons.
9. Report all Contact with Lobbyists & Special Interest Groups to Constituents Immediately.
10. Publicize all Travel Plans with a Cost Estimate. Post Expense Reports immediately.
11. Be Diligent! Performance Appraised, Pay/Benefits Administered by new State Agencies.
12. Limit their Congressional Service to a Maximum of 12 Consecutive Years.

Congress and the Administration are on a fast track toward even bigger government including excessive control and imminent fiscal disaster. Their liberal /progressive goal is the equality of results, but this leads to "spreading the wealth" and encroaches on our individual freedom.

In 1776, the Founders proclaimed we were endowed with "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness". The Constitution guarantees the equality of opportunity, but not the results. That means we are free to succeed or fail. But conservatives believe that liberty will permit "free enterprise" and generosity toward those in need. And, this leads to the highest possible quality of life for all American citizens.

Therefore, "We The People" must regain control of the Federal government to preserve our liberty before the country is completely ruined. First, Congress and the White House must be replaced in the elections of 2010 and 2012 with patriots who value the Constitution. Second, we must find ways whereby all new Federal laws and programs truly represent the will of the people. Creative development of the ideas above stand a chance to help control Congress in-between elections.

Sorry...NO NO NO.. to government financing of elections. This is a key way the Dems and DOP perpetuates the 2 party system. Under this parties must prove that they are worthy of receiving funds by showing their results in prior elections...which will be minuscule since they can't get public financing. Thus the 2 party system. As a practical matter the government can't provide funds for every single person who might want to run.

Additionally, there is no Constitutional provision to pay political candidates for running. In fact, the founders are probably turning over in their graves that this should be proposed.

I know that there is a possibility that big organizations will co-opt the political parties and elections. Ooops, that's already happened. However, the Tea Party movement, if we do things right, can overcome that. Corporations and unions can't vote while we can. And there are enough Tea Party PACs around so that independent or third party campaigns can be funded.

I agree with most of your other points although I have mixed feelings about term limits.

I beleive that the president, should be impeached before he completely destroys our GOVERMENT ! FYI about 3/4 of the congress & senate should get the boot as well.

That the G.O.P. establishment cannot be trusted to downsize government was made evident when the G.O.P. controlled the 109th Congress and the WH.

The one & only D.C. bureaucracy eliminated by the G.O.P. wasn't the gigantic and wasteful Department of Education, nor the equally gigantic & wasteful Department of Energy, but the tiny ICC, Interstate Commerce Commission, one of the smallest of all Washington bureaucrcies.

Under the G.O.P. earmarks were every bit as bad as the worst of Democrat examples; who can forget the infamous Bridge to No-Where?

Most of you continue to joust over the demonology of the Republicans and Democrats when deep down we all know that both parties are equally to blame for the mess we are in.
The bottom line is that they are all shills including the SCOTUS and Federal Reserve; Controlled by puppeteer
Corpsters and Banksters in very high places.
Once again the Bible speaks volumes when it emphasizes 'principalities and powers'.
If you have not read G Edward Griffin's 'The Creature From Jekyll Island', I can highly recommend it.

Our country is currently on a parallel with Germany in 1933 and this Global Elite Order is closing in FAST!
The recent SCOTUS decision giving corporations even more control over everything is one of the final straws and most
of the Right, Conservatives, and Libertarians think it's a GOOD transaction: Just look who is behind Citizen's United.

Darla, I agree with this action totally, but I FEAR this will never happen. This due the fact that our that GOVERMENT OFFICIALS are having to much fun with tax payers money! Oh I forgot The United States has no money, due to all of the PORK, & uncalled waste. People like our Little Miss nancy, whom has to have special jet to transport her pompus behind back & forth to California, THREE or FOUR TIMES a WEEK. I beleive it takes about 450,000 gallons of jet fuel a week for her PLEASURE. Mutiply this number by all of the rest of these SENATORS & CONGRESSMEN, & this may be a way to help pay off our NATIONAL DEBT ! The way I see it, this is not very GREEN, not mention the huge amount of TAXPAYERS DOLLARS that get spent, so these people can pamper themselves, & cater to their every WISH & WHIM! While I'am on this subject, I also wish to express my disgust over the MILLIONS of DOLLARS that was spent to transport all of these OFFICALS that went to DENMARK, to have a BIG PARTY on the AMERICAN TAX PAYERS DOLLARS! Oh by the way, this was about goin GREEN. How GREEN IS IT TO EXPELL ALL OF THAT JET FUEL, into our ATMOSPHERE? That was very very GREEN, now wasen't IT! FYI obama & michelle had to have their own seprate JETS to do this.
These PEOPLE better get off there DEAD BEHINDS, & do the right thing before it's to late or maybe it is ALREADY.

We need to also be concerned about all of these Czar's that are in place. I can't even imagine what these guys are doing because they are not accountable to anyone. Where in the constitution was this allowed? I know there are some legal organizations trying to get information but the process takes so long this administration hopefully will be gone but damage will be done.

The irony of this article appearing in the English edition of Pravda (Russian on-line newspaper) defies description. Why can a Russian newspaper print the following yet the American media can't/won't see it?

American Capitalism Gone With A Whimper

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas than the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a Burger King burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America .

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America 's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Weimar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, losses, and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties, and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more than a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motors) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self-given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK 's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "free man" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance, and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Frank, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery without a fight, beating his chest, and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.
