Most clear thinking Americans view the Ft. Hood massacre for what it is: a disturbed, Islamic radical enacting a jihad on U.S. soldiers. Our country's foremost leftists are not clear thinkers. They have shown a disturbing trend of making excuses and blaming others for Nidal Malik Hasan's act of terrorism.

Let us start with our Commander-in-Chief. Obama used Tuesday's memorial service to try to show his sympathy and compassion for the victims. However, his initial reaction was completely lacking of both.

On the day Hasan murdered 14 people (including an unborn child) and wounded dozens others, the White House was notified almost immediately. Later that afternoon, the media was told President Obama would speak about the tragedy prior to a previously scheduled event. The NBC station in Obama's hometown of Chicago describes his utter lack of tact:

"Instead of a somber chief executive offering reassuring words and expressions of sympathy and compassion, viewers saw a wildly disconnected and inappropriately light president making introductory remarks. At the event.....the president thanked various staffers and offered a "shout-out" to "Dr. Joe Medicine Crow -- that Congressional Medal of Honor winner." I can't wait until 2010 to get most or all the dems out , they really get me uptight with their beliefs!
It's hard to understand people who don't have a clue on what way is up !! Nancy Pelosi , Harry Reid, Barney Frank I can go on but I think my message is they need to go to another planet along with Obama !!!!!!
They make me sick and they are destroying America one day at a time !

Finally, Debbie, conservatives, the old "silent majority" in Reagans' time, are pissed off enough to take the actions we have all been guilty of not taking all these years. We sat back while stupidity and moronism permeated our democracy until the only thing left was and is our embattled Constitution.

Now we all share the political fallout for not doing what we ought, while our troops are doing what we should. Their mission is no longer clear, and their leadership cut off at the knees. Now is the time to get activated in our communities and make the noise we were always afraid to make for fear of disturbing our neighbors. I'm afraid we did that all too well.

Remember, even though we had nearly two million people in DC, we need a resounding one hundred fifty million people to put our values over the top. We need to scream bloody murder every time a liberal gets his or her feelings hurt and changes the outcome for political correctness. We need to call terrorists, terrorists. We need to call Muslim Terrorists, Muslim Terrorists. Our all too often apologetic behavior and willingness to avoid offence, has gotten us to this point.

That gut felt anger that lives in the pits of our souls, calling out for justice and avengement, needs to continue unabated just as the old home fires were kept burning. The luxury of allowing others to define who we are is like sending your mom's best dish out to McDonald's for seasoning. We are Americans, no matter where we hail from. It seems that no matter what our background, others are there to define who we are.

Finally, we see how our ethnic brothers and sisters have been defined to the point of becoming exactly what they were defined as being. The divide and conquer method is working. You see, as did I when in DC, I witnessed all kinds of Americans. America is all of us collectively. It really doesn't matter in that sense what our experience has been. Whatever it was, if you are here, it has been a uniquely American experience.

Hyphenation. That is what it has been about and continues to be about. When you get your census forms in 2010, ask yourself this question. Am I really an American, or am I this identifiable ethnicity that seeks to divide me from my brethren by continuing to identify me, ( WRONGLY), I might add, as someone else and not an American?

While we worry about these huge political issues, we continually allow these silent snakes to slither by without notice. Meanwhile we point fingers at one another as being one group or another. All the while, the powers that be, quietly laugh their collective rear ends off at us who are too stupid to see the game. American business did this to our country in the 1800's. Before that we did it as a result of our English ancestry. Our government is getting away with everything.

It should not matter to any of us where someone came from, only that they are here and whether or not they are going to be with us or against us. Once here, they are Americans. Period! Go to any other country, look at how they define their people. They are not German French, or French German, or Muslim French or vice versa, they are either French, or German, or English, or whatever.

The ballot box belongs to all of us. The question is, do we find representatives that represent Americans, or do we vote for factional representation that continues to keep us separated from who we areally are? Glenn Beck had a show on last night, My TV was still on at 2 am, I was up needing to take more cold medication and heard him interviewing a room full of Americans from various political backgrounds, but who all were black. All I can say is It is about time that discussion took place.

The people, Americans in my opinion, were(as I already knew) like us, concerned about the direction of this country. Some were Obama supporters, others not so much. What they articulated on his show was nothing short of music to my ears and the feeling in my heart that all is not yet lost. Let me tell you, as a veteran, who served in a multicultural world, albeit 30 plus years ago, it did not matter to me if my fellow soldier was Asian, Jamaican, Black, or White. When bullets fly, all you know is that your comrad has your back, and you his. Those Americans expressed what I always knew they believed and God Bless them all. Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, and whatever else was represented last night. Listening to them and Glenn, made me PROUD to be American, and Glad I still live in this country.

Well, my fellow Americans, political bullets are flying now, do we have each others back? Are we going to let politicians like Pelosi, Reid, Frank, and others of their ilk define our future? If not, get off your dead rear ends, take your brothers and sisters, all of them, by the political hand, and build the solidarity it takes to overwhelm the enemy of freedom.

In Poland, a number of years ago, an average worker, name Wollensa, spelling may be off, managed to build a coalition of freedom fighters that fought for their freedom against Mother Russia. The odds against them were much worse that what we have to face. If they, against all odds could win freedom, I suppose we Americans can also win ours, once again. Our Constitution is under attack. Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for us, Americans, to come to the aid of OUR country, The United States of America.

Better words could not be spoken , this is our country and I refuse to let it go down the tubes . We have our soldiers risking their lives everday and we have a President that now says it cost too much for our troops ?? It didn't cost so much for cash for clunkers and everything else they are trying to sell us (excuse me) ??
We have to stand together for our children ,grandchildren ,senior citizens etc.....

they dont have the nuts to say it ..there week it was a blatant terrorist attack a attack from with in ....he like those other thugs from gitmo there taking to new york to stand trial should be tried and taken to see cut and made to walk the plank and lett he sharks have a field day that would be justice ....anything less than that ios a waste

Keep fighting this liberal media bias! It's a fact that some Islamic preachers tell their flock that it is okay to attack the US military, because the US is the Great Satan, and that the US is waging a War Against Islam. Colonel Hassan came to believe this, and that is why he attacked Fort Hood. Hassan committed an act of treason and he should be tried on that charge, too.

Ft. Hood: Just the Beginning

For those who can still put two and two together, the Ft. Hood killings look like the beginning of a long term bloodletting in our country, an unnecessary travail we will be forced to suffer unless we reverse US foreign policy blunders.

That no end is now in sight is made clear with the contorted spin placed on the Ft. Hood murders by the administration and both liberal and neo-conservative policy makers. On the one hand, Hasan is explained away as disturbed individual, a loner having professional problems acting out of personal distress. End of story. On the other, he is an 'Islamo-fascist' who, like all extremist Muslims, "attack us for who we are". Both explanations are self-serving and miss the mark completely. As neither account for the real, and obvious, reasons the Ft., Hood attack is likely to be only the beginning of our troubles at home.

We expect leadership from Washington but instead get double-talk, couched in high language yes, but nonetheless vapid explanations. Like Bush before him President Obama cynically avoids the truth about this cultural, religious and territorial conflict. Instead, he was "baffled as the rest of the country by the bloody burst of violence", saying "[w]e cannot fully know what leads a man to do such a thing," (ABC news, Nov. 8).


Oh really? Can the President not know that in matters of culture and religion Islam and Western secular society are at immutable loggerheads? Our own divisive social issues revolving around gender, sex and family are completely condemned in Islamic societies and there is outright rejection of our attempt to force our idea of women’s rights, abortion, homosexuality and the like down their throats. And, to boot, it is our armies which have invaded their countries. With the situation reversed who would not expect that Americans would attack enemy forces, even in their home countries, if the opportunity existed? Murderous yes, but under such conditions to say that Hassan’s act was one of “twisted logic” is ludicrous.


Taking correct stock of why a crime is committed is the first important step in solving a mystery and in resolving a conflict. Our current leadership, however, not only avoids taking a hard look in the mirror to ask why we are hated and why our military should be sent abroad but fabricates either politically correct nonsense or myopic hysteria. Who can doubt the outcome when Obama ignores the underlying cause of the conflicts?

Whose death has more value?

This includes the more than 700,000 people who have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan since Sept 11, 2001, surely fair recompense in blood lust for the 3000 Americans murdered that day should one want to barter lives in such fashion. And though the American public was shocked that 13 fellow Americans were killed at Ft. Hood the deaths do not match the tragedy of the many more Muslims killed in our imperial war. Of course Muslims know this and, to our disadvantage, that knowledge is more than sufficient catalyst and reason, even absent religous fervor, for many to try and strike back.

To say that the Ft. Hood attack is inexplicable and that such acts will not deter us from the job that needs to be done in foreign countries, as Obama says, only supplies political strychnine to the US public. It encourages us to continue to view the US dead, small in number by comparison, as having more value than the dead Muslims and fosters the idea that the ‘enemy’ must pay even more. In practical terms, unless we fully lose our souls and turn full score to a war of genocidal annihilation, it is a losing proposition in a world with a Muslim population of 1.4 billion.

Our media, political and many military leaders are complicit in this façade. Ready to explain away the acts of Hasan, and others to come, on personal trauma and psychosis this reasoning is as fallacious and dangerous as Bush’s pronouncement that we were hated for our lifestyle. In a world governed largely by US and western military and cultural imperialism such statements can be likened to driving a car off a winding mountain road all the while declaring it's clear sailing straight ahead.
