My letters we are handing out

Dear Concerned American,

First we thank you for reading this and apologize for the interruption. As you may have guessed America has a bit of a problem, well actually a catastrophe. We hope you are Concerned about this as we are as most of the news media is glossing over this problem. Right now some ten percent of us are collecting unemployment and another twenty five percent or so are under employed with hardly a part time job, our benefits have simply run out. We were told that this massive trillion dollar government spending was going to immediately turn the economy around and it was so urgent they passed the bill without even reading it. Here we are well past the 8% unemployment they promised and the Main Street economy getting much worse. The only ones profiting from this bailout seems to be all of congresses special interests down on Wall Street with billions of tax payer bailouts, “Welfare for the Wealthy” as Main Street suffers. We can’t afford any more lies.

Now we have the cap and tax bill half way threw congress that all of our Representatives voted for without ever reading it. As written this bill has less to do with the possibility of global warming and more about the largest tax increase in US history. Also providing billion dollar profits on Wall Street and severely hurting Main Street with taxes and regulations at a time when we can not afford it. Goldman Sachs a monstrous investment company that received tax payer bailouts, welfare for the wealthy that paid its CEO about $43 million, but paid zero in federal income tax. Goldman Sachs has an investment in the Chicago Climate Exchange and stands profit billions. At the same time these companies pumped millions in to campaigns including the likes of Neal, Olver and Kerry. Thousands of us contacted our Representatives asking to stop read the bill, we can’t afford our electric bills to double, Main Street needs the jobs not Wall Street, we can’t afford federal inspectors coming in our homes telling us what we can and can’t have, we can’t afford our fuel costs to double but they passed it anyway. If they had read the bill they would find that it put huge restrictions on US production of energy that would in fact increase our dependence on Terrorist Oil.

And now we are on to heath care, another one and a half trillion dollar burden on our fragile economy. It is absolutely true that there will be delays and government control under this program, you have no choice. But what does this mean say for an illness such as cancer that needs immediate attention? The deaths would be in the thousands for this one disease as proven in other socialized heath care programs. It may be pointed out that anyone not taking action to oppose this bill may well result in grave and serious consequences to your self and those you know. Furthermore is the proposed funding for this bill that is nothing more then tax the wealthy trickle down poverty.

Therefore we are asking you to please take a moment more of your time to contact your Representatives and Senators to stop, slow down, not now and we can not afford any more of this change that we did not vote for. Take care of Main Street and not Wall Street.

Dangerous Medicine

The proposed health care bill is total control of your health by the national government and control of your rights. Do you really want the government to know that much about you, from what drugs you are on to your weight? From both sides we have had government encroaching in to our lives for too long, why continue the failed Bush policies? We say simply read the bill and look at the direction it is taking us. Remember why so many immigrated here sacrificing everything to escape socialist oppression, allowing it to happen here would be total desecration of your forefathers hopes and dreams for you.

Look at the supporters of the proposed health care bill, Health Care for America Now, Gray Panthers, Labor Campaign for Single Payer, Single Payer NOW, Western Mass Single Payer Coalition and there is even the International Socialist Organization. No need to paint a picture, they openly and proudly call them selves what they are Single Payer Socialist Health Care. They openly admit as do some in congress they support their end game of government controlling everything. If you like your insurance or your doctor you will eventually not be able to keep them. These left-wing activists are showing up in larger numbers with a mission to be as disruptive as possible in the hopes of intimidating, spreading fear and supporting health care reform through pure spectacle and obstruction. These lobbyists and special interest groups are silencing real discussion about the need for real health insurance reform to cover up the facts and their end game. These crowds are being riled up by reform lies being spread by front groups that invent smears to tarnish the common folk and scare voters.

The government must not be allowed the sole determination of quality. If the government is allowed to set the standard of quality you have no choice. Do you trust the government forever experimenting with your children’s health care and deciding when to die? Look at how the government controls quality now, there has to be an official death toll before they act. For too long we have relied on this quality standard on our roads to the food we eat and we must not allow this to overtake our health care. We hope that you will want to keep your ability to decide and not forever lose it.

This is not affordable health care with the cost possibly over two trillion. Social Security is broken, Medicare is broke, and it is so broken they make payments to dead people. Look at the cost of the “Big Dig”, over ten time what it was supposed to cost.

This proposed health care bill is not health care for everyone. It is waiting in line for your socialist allotment, a government boondoggle waiting to see if you first qualify, then determine what you qualify for, 1,018 pages and growing. Look at other government programs, a simple transaction at the Registry of Motor Vehicles and you have to wait in line.

What we need to reform is the government involvement in the current system and not a total takeover. We need TORT reform; remove the wasteful regulations that have doubled the cost; private insurance should not include payments to welfare; remove interstate restrictions to increase competition; allow small business co-ops; restore personal responsibility; PAC restrictions; enforce non profit laws; no free health care for Illegals and more.

It’s the economy,

There is all this talk of how people can’t afford healthcare and how it is so expensive and they are even using scare tactics. They would like you to believe people are dieing in the streets stacking up like cordwood. This propaganda is largely exaggerated, a scare tactic and used as misdirection.

Why can’t everyone afford healthcare, because they don’t have a job, underemployed or have simply given up. Is the solution to this problem providing socialized healthcare, no it is not. The problem here is employment and not healthcare. Hospitals can not refuse treatment so no one is dieing in the streets but those that do pay for healthcare are paying the bill. The solution is the economy by providing more jobs and not placing more burden on the few remaining jobs. These healthcare bills are a very dangers experiment that has a good chance of becoming a death spiral that places a higher burden on the employers that will generate fewer jobs or employees could lose job, which in turn increases the burden on employers. Even if there was only a possibility of stagnating wage growth and eliminating jobs the risk is too high. The real drag on the economy is the loss of jobs, paying for those that are unemployed and underemployed. When has a larger cost burden ever created more jobs? This will mostly affect small business owners who are trying to create the jobs we need now and hurt income for most Americans. Remember, the government only consumes and they produce nothing therefore they can only take from you and me. What ever service the government provides is not free someone has to pay. Remember; don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

The average number collecting unemployment is almost ten percent, some places are over twenty percent and those that are underemployed or have simply given-up is over twenty percent by any estimation. This means one third of the revenue the government was taking in is gone and the remainder of those working must pay the bill for those not. The national debt is now in the trillions and the government is broke, Medicare is broke, Social Security is broke, Postal Service is broke, our state government is broke and our towns and cities are broke. The estimated cost of this healthcare takeover in only ten years is said to cost as much as two trillion dollars by some estimations and given past estimates it is well proven that it may well cost ten times that amount. We can control the greed of a privately owned corporation but it is almost impossible to control government greed and mismanagement, especially the federal government. Be it government single payer to government option to government co-op heath care is clearly a step in the wrong direction. New research from Heritage’s Center for Data Analysis reveals these new taxes on healthcare could mean 400,000 employees could lose their job each year. Spending and new taxes will not be the way to bend the health care cost-curve downward. It will only exacerbate the problems businesses already face. We can find a way for doctors and patients to work together on our own. We need to drop all the federal government effort put in to healthcare and put it where it belongs, call congress and tell them to stop, it’s the economy.
