The Philly Tea Party II was held today at Independence Hall. Great speakers and great signs!! I would estimate around 2,000 people. I was pleased to see alot of anti-Arlen Spector sentiment. Maybe we can finally kick that traitor out of office! I was touched to see people shaking the hands of vets to thank them for their sevice to our country. How fitting to be standing in front of Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were both signed.

Some of my favorites signs... "Now apologize to my kids, Obama", "Submission Completed" under a huge picture of Obama bowing to the Saudi king, "I owe WHAT?", "I Feel Like a Ship Passing by Somalia", "Keep Your Hands Off Our Constitution!"

I flew up to Columbia, Md. in order to visit family & friends on April 14th. We had made the reservations back in Feb. but when I heard about the Tea Parties I was determined to go to one. I rented a car on the morning of April 15th. I drove up to Silver Spring and caught the metro into D.C. The weather was cold and raining the entire day, but I was so glad that I was there! I was also gratified to see at least 4 black, and at least one hispanic person speak against Obama's socialist agenda.

Alan Keyes, Andrew Langer, and Laura Ingraham spoke, as well as a few other high profile people. Then, we were told that the park had to be cleared, because of a possible bomb threat. I took that opportunity to use a restroom and get something to eat. I then walked back, just as they were again opening the park. About 300 of us returned, standing in the mud, getting dripped on by the next person's umbrella, in the cold rain, to listen to the next round of speakers. They were ordinary citizens who were very concerned about the direction our country is headed. One, was a 78 year old black woman, who used to be a teacher in Montgomery county. She was there with her husband, also a retired teacher. She said she was disgusted with what she had been required to teach. Another speaker was a 24 yr. old black college graduate. He understands that gov't cannot create jobs; only the private sector. Another speaker was a middle-age black man, there with his wife. This blows away the MSM media reports that these Tea Parties were engineered by the white elite, or by Fox News! I thank God that these people had the courage to speak up, even though their views are not popular within their race. SOME people are paying attention!

Here is video from the Tea Party in Columbus, Ohio. It was on the statehouse lawn. The speaker is a local talk show host and Libertarian (and friend of mine) Dirk Thompson. There were multiple speakers.

Not one single member of the MSM was there to cover the Philly Tea Party. Most of their offices were only located a block or 2 away! We called them and told them 2,000 people were gathered together to protest and they still did not come. Since when is such a gathering NOT a news story??

Is it possible to get a semi-accurate count on how many actually were at all of these T.E.A. Parties, The last post said almost 16,000 in San Antonio, I was at the Austin Tea Party and we had heard S.A. had 5 to 6 thousand. I know the MSM fudge their numbers, but I would love to see what they really are. The DPS in Austin estimated between 5 to 6 thousand in Austin as well. We had so many they had to shut down Congress ave. so we could march to the lake to drop our "tea".

Hello Tex,
Here are the figures from San Antonio Police Department. At 11:30 A.M. the number of people attending were about 6000...those of us who took off work and those that work at home..Lunch hour, etc. By 5:30 PM...Our numbers swelled to the 20,000 quoted by the SAPD..also according to all the blocks/streets shut down for the event. We were so crowded for the initial response at Alamo Plaza, that plans were made to set up at Hemisfair Plaza ALSO...so you don't see the rest of the people in my pics. This is a quote from our organizers:

" SAPD Confirms Crowd Size at 20,000
Apparently the Express-News must have come really early, because the SAPD has run the numbers using their geometric grid system, and have confirmed that the crowd size was about 20,000 at it's height."
