"Group treated as voice of Muslims despite fresh evidence of terror ties"

CNN drives Americans away along with Lou Dobbs.
CNN has publicly stated that it wants to be “moderate” and travel the “middle of the road”.

Good Luck with that CNN... It will be a smooth ride for you now because, that “Road” is the one most Americans have finally exited from. Why? Moderation is supposed to be good isn’t it? That may be true for many things but it is NOT true when you are fighting for your Life or your Country.

There can be no moderation in a fight to the death. Our Country, our Freedoms, our faith, our Constitution and the Rights if conveys to the people are far too precious to allow the enemy to define and restrict our struggle. With their rules, we will surely lose. Their “Tolerance” has already cost too many precious American lives.

How many more Americans must die because we are forced and compelled to tolerate the most intolerant and violent people on this planet? Political correctness kills because, it distorts the truth and ignores or disguises the danger.

Most Americans have finally figured out that the “Middle of the Road” as defined by Liberal Radicals is the shortest and surest way to the decline of America and the displacement of it’s people all of which is accelerated, tenfold, by, “Political Correctness” and “Moderation”.

The Media and even worse, the GOP has not yet accepted that the people are fed up with “Political Correctness”, “Middle of the Road” and “Moderation”.

The American People are also fed up with those Politicians and those in the Media who insist upon “Sitting on the Fence”.

The time has arrived in America when the American People have begun to “Take a Stand”.

“Taking a Stand” is not possible while remaining “Politically Correct”.

“Taking a Stand” requires courage and resolve.
Courage and resolve are qualities that none of the of the other liberal mandated actions will ever require... They are the equivalent of "Backing Down"....AND, that's by design not accident.

“Taking a Stand” in “Moderation” is like taking no stand at all.

“Taking a Stand” while standing in the “Middle of the Road” is stupid, suicidal and ineffectual.

The GOP has yet to “Take a Stand” with the people and that we cannot forgive easily.

Given the conditions that now exist in America “Sitting on the Fence” is cowardice and a betrayal of all that we, as Americans, have ever held dear..

Get off the fence, get out of the middle of the road and take a stand or kiss your country and your way of life goodbye. Marge

I've been reading some of the newer threads here in Resistnet and I'm confused. I see all these comments about Republicans taking back the GOP. So is this strictly a Republican site?

I was under the impression when I joined here last spring, that this was a place for ALL conservatives and for those that want the Government to start following the Constitution. If that is true, then I'd think that rather than going back to supporting one of the 2 major parties - Republicans or Democrats - this site would be more for the Independents. It's become quite apparent that neither the GOP or the DEM parties know the US Constitution and if they've ever even read it, they have chosen to ignore it.

If all we can do is consider a Party affiliation taking power back, then this site has become no better than the Incumbents from both parties that have been running this country into the ground for the last 30-40 years. As one friend put it - and Joe and I have repeated several times - There is no longer a two party system in DC-Land - there is only 1 party - the Incumbent Party.

When we as American's can get away from the Party system and start voting for the BEST person to Represent us . . .

when we can take a stand and vote for the person with a true love for this country and understanding of the US Constitution . . .

when we as a people can decide to put Country before self, before Party, before 'getting back in power' then we stand a chance for survival.

Many of us are as tired of the runaway GOP as we are of the socialist/marxist Democrats.

Is it time to just vote for the best person for the job? Are you supporting a Party or an Independent thinker?

I have to ask these questions, because what I see here should be on a GOP blog, not on a site that TRULY wants to save this country from those that would destroy it from the inside out.

FOOD for THOUGHT!

The American people, as a whole, will need a springboard. Yes, a third party is the most desirable but, it isn't the most pragmatic solution when time is not on our side.

I am an American first over any party and I agree that party politics has decimated our country.
Established and entrenched Politicians put party over country and over the people. That is true of both parties.

Reason dictates that taking over the least egregious party, where a framework already exists, would be easier and quicker than, attempting to institute and form a Third Party.
There are, and deliberately so, many obstacles for both a third party and an independent candidate.
Each state has different rules on the criteria that must be met and complied with before either another party or independent candidate may be included on the ballot. The rules are complex, varied and not nationwide.

Replacing and/or displacing the current party hierarchy with candidates of the people will be quicker and more effective in the short term.

A Third Party will take time and the mid-term elections are looming. 2012 is too close.

I agree with you, Marge, that 2012 is too soon for a third party. Conservatives are starving for someone to speak the truth, to stand up for the Constitution, and to make us feel like this is America again... and I believe our best bet lies within the Republican party. I don't want to see the Ross Perot effect. And look at what just happened in New York with Hoffman. I was so hoping he'd win, but I think some independents were put off by the "conservative" label he had. Some folks will just never vote for a third party because they don't feel they can be elected.

I’m glad you could jump in Molly. I’ve missed our exchanges... They were fun.

Fun is something that seems to escape me so often these days. Now, every day seems to bring something far worse than the day before. We have to survive this radical egoist for three more years but, it’s clear that he will have wrought interminable before he leaves office.

His questionable patriotism worries me more than anything else. But America will survive and Americans will clean up the mess.

We do need a third party but, we need a solid, well thought out and effective one. Not a hastily formed ineffective one doomed to failure which will then be mocked and ridiculed by both of the current parties. That would do more harm than good especially to the morale and resolve of people just beginning to find their voices. We need a few successes to help people, who are not usually activists, find the will and much needed encouragement necessary to motivate them to continue.

The Democrats and Republicans have had it their way for much too long.
The American People have been shortchanged and deprived of true representation for too long.

A Third Party will need time and expertise from dedicated Americans intent upon Country and People before party. There are people like Jim DeMint, Jeff Sessions, Tim Pawlenty, Sarah Palin, Tom Tancredo, J.D. Hayworth etc. who have already demonstrated that they will stand against the established party for the sake of principle and the good of the country.... These are the type of people who could provide the expertise and foundation for a durable Third Party.

Right now, we have to do the best we can to make a difference. There is no party or special interest group that can even come close to rivaling the power of the American people united....Provided we do not allow ourselves to be distracted or divided by differences of opinion over details and issues that will wind up not mattering a “Tinker’s Damn” if America continues to decline into a socialist nightmare.

None of us will have a voice or any choices to make if that happens.

Please show me where we have a two party system? The OP(formerly the GOP) has incrementally joined forces with the socialist Democrats to form one big socialist Republicrat party. A conservative party based on strong Conservative principles will restore the two party system. Why didn't grassroots members restore the party to Conservatism years ago? What makes you think you can remove the socialism by 2010 within the OP given since it has not been done over the last 25 years?

You may not have heard but the vote in NY-23 has not yet been certified since there were errors in the vote count and 10,000 absentee ballots from the Army have not yet been counted. It was believed Hoffman lost by 6,000 votes but that difference is now down to 3,000 before the absentee ballots. His chances for victory have improved considerably after the voting error count was discovered. Regardless of that fact, Hoffman was able to garner 45% of the vote with only three weeks to campaign. He would have garnered many more votes had he been given the usual amount of time to campaign. Scozzafava, a flaming socialist, still received 5,000 votes after she dropped out of the race thanks to the OP(NRCC) insistence to oppose Hoffman. The OP took votes away from the Conservative Party candidate! The Conservative label was not a liability for Hoffman. It was an asset and could be the reason he may yet win the election. The only liability was the OP campaigning against Hoffman every step of the way.

The third party concept is based on the false premise we have a two party system. The OP(formerly the GOP) has incrementally moved towards socialism over the years with its big tent, reach out across the aisle, in the spirit of bipartisanship approach in order to expand it's voter base that it has essentially merged it's ideology with the socialist Democrats. The result is one big socialist Republicrat party. Conservatives uniting within a party based on strong Conservative values will be the second party.

What framework are you referring to? Is it the framework that has not only enabled socialism to takeover the OP? Is it the framework that has repeatedly thumbed its nose at Conservatism over the years? Returning to a party that has consistently rejected Conservatism is the political version of battered wife syndrome. The notion another party will take more time is a weak argument given the OP abandon Conservatism years ago and has not yet been retaken by any grassroots effort nor is there any indication it will return to Conservatism anytime soon. A second party certainly will not take anymore time. We are seeing the results in NY-23 with a Conservative party candidate entered the race with only three weeks to campaign. He may still yet win after counting the absentee ballots from the Army this week. Conservatives chances to win will only improve with the usual amount of time to campaign.

Dan,

The framework I refer to is not ideological but the practical, legal framework where the "paperwork" has already been done and the legal criteria met that allows candidates to be placed on the ballots of every state. A third party would have to go State by State, complying with each State's criteria, filing briefs, paying fees and encountering numerous legal delays just to qualify as a legally recognized national third party.

The current two parties have ensured that the process is a long and complicated one for their own protection.
Common sense suggests that it would be simpler and more expedient to work within the framework of the least egregious party, using that party for our own purposes. Much as it has used the American people up to now.

Most Americans are intelligent enough to have already realized that the two party system has blurred and intertwined so much that it is often too difficult to distinguish between them. But, thank you for assuming that not everyone is as intelligent as you are. Do you have practical, encouraging suggestions and support to offer? I would welcome them.
You must realize that if you just criticize and lecture, people who have never gotten involved before may become discouraged and disheartened. Please, assure me that is not your intent.

PC war anyone? And we wonder why we're still in Iraq and Afghanistan??

CNN is a liberal news network with a few token conservatives. they are not as bad as MSNBC, which openly supports the Obama agenda, but they are not, in fact, middle of the road.
