The idea is to return it to our Treasury so we can use it to pay down our nearly 2Trillion of debt. This will strength the dollar which is falling fast and some estimate the decrease as a 25% hidden tax as we will need more money to purchase things. It will also stem the calls to move to another Reserve Currency and not the dollar which has been since the end of WWII. If that happens, it is curtains for the USA. So consider signing this petition and I will forward all to like-minded Reps in Congress for ammo. Thanks!!

But isn't that theObama Doctorine; Wreck the economy and the country so badly that Bush/Cheney get all the blame, then Obama/Biden ride in on their... and save the day! EVERYTHING that is wrong has been blamed on Bush/Cheney, and the Dem/Socialists are going to fix it by making you soooo dependent on Government-run programs that you can't say no.

This man thinks he is a cross between Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt but I watched him on a YOUTUBE and he said the one thing that Lincoln did not do after the Civil War was not redistribute the wealth of this country. And he believes that Roosevelt did not spend enough during the depression so he's is going to do it with the help of people like Pelosi and Harry Reid and a few more ignorant self centered democrats and republicans. If any one has ever paid any attention to Chicago politics they should know any one that comes out of their its own croaked and so corrupt that they are not fit to hold any public office. But the sorry thing is that it looks like we're going to have to suffer through it until his time is up. But we do have a great chance next year to make sure that he does not get the backing to hurt this country anymore if any more than he had. I guess you will know that we just gave billions away to the international monetary fund last night they hid the bill in the bill for our troops.

All this ancillary discussion is not helping the Petition grow - and grow it must if it is to have a viable chance to assist members in Congress to submit a bill to return said unused funds. So we can use your John Hancocks if you haven't done so already.

Returning at least $500 billion - 1/2 Trillion to Treasury for the specific purpose of paying down our debt would have immediate impacts. The dollar will gain much needed value and the price of oil, sold in dollars would fall. Talk of a new World Reserve Currency would fall to the back burner. Markets would surely become bullish and ratings would solidify for securities. We would be that much closer to Nirvana than Chaos. Helps is needed from all and I am asking for your consideration. Thank you.

Give it back but in the context of "we dont need your stinking money" not "please dont ruin our wonderful country" We need to take control over our own country and not rely on a powerful family or two to handle our crisis for us.

The money spent and left for emergencies does not foot to the total stimulus as each day more is spent or committed. Hopefully, we will have enough signatures before the whole thing is wasted and our children flounder in unsustainable debt - which usually leads to conflict to recover.
