Swine Flu Martial Law Bill Clears Massachusetts Senate

It took corporate media swine flu hysteria to ram through a martial law bill in Massachusetts. S18 gives the Governor the power to authorize the deployment and use of force to distribute supplies and materials and local authorities will be allowed to enter private residences for investigation and to quarantine individuals.

The bill specifically mandates the following:
(1) to require the owner or occupier of premises to permit entry into and investigation of the premises;
(2) to close, direct, and compel the evacuation of, or to decontaminate or cause to be decontaminated any building or facility, and to allow the reopening of the building or facility when the danger has ended;
(3) to decontaminate or cause to be decontaminated, or to destroy any material;
(4) to restrict or prohibit assemblages of persons;
(5) to require a health care facility to provide services or the use of its facility, or to transfer the management and supervision of the health care facility to the department or to a local public health authority;

The Associated Press reports:
The Massachusetts Senate has unanimously passed a pandemic flu preparation bill that has languished in the Legislature before the recent swine flu outbreak.
The 36-0 vote today sends the measure to the House. Both branches have taken it up in past years, but have not been able to agree on the details.
The new Senate version would allow the public health commissioner — in a public health emergency — to close or evacuate buildings, enter private property for investigations, and quarantine individuals.

1 : the law applied in occupied territory by the military authority of the occupying power
2 : the law administered by military forces that is invoked by a government in an emergency when the civilian law enforcement agencies are unable to maintain public order and safety.
In 1976 the only deaths from the swine flu, were from the vaccine.

Are you not surprised? This is rediculous, yet obama the con man feels it is not necessary to close the border. I am no more concerned about the swine flu, than I am leprosy. We are being played by the government (both sides), and we need to let them know that we are on to them and that this needs to stop now.

Thanks for the heads up on this situation. It should be obvious by now that under the pretense of crises, government can suspend laws and do what it wants. Obama sees this clearly and so, it is in his (and his cohorts) best interest to have as many crises as possible, and thus be enabled to do what he wants to do - run the country as a totalitarian state.
I hope we all know by now that we have a flu season every year, that the flues usually come from the pig farms in China (rather than Mexico), that people with low immune systems will get sick and die, and that when all is said and done, we pick up and move on. Life goes on.
If we do nothing else, we have to become less alarmist and more unflappable about these politically manufactured financial crises, health crises, etc.
Cooler heads must prevail, or else we will all be railroaded down the path straight to hell.

I don't think most on this site are worried about the flu, it is what the government scare tatics will make it to be to tighten down control of us, maybe by marial law, and other railroad tactics

Oh of course NOT! We all know the flu scare, is just a scare. There have only been 7 confirmed deaths caused by the swine flu, and not one was a US citizen. This is all hype for either another cover-up or a new bill they have to rush. I am so sick of it. I am going to Cabo next week, my fights been changed 2X already this week. I work in the City, I am closer to the infected in NY then I am n Cabo to Mexico City. This whole thing is insane. We are in a recession this is not the time to be wasting money on elaborate hoaxes.

I am not psychic but I was saying just last night to my husband that this swine flu could be a viable way of declaring martial law and now this morning here it has already being set into place . Don't be surprised if other states follow Mass. lead . Pamela, I agree this could very well become BHO's 911.

What worries me about the Massachusetts martial law bill is that it may be the "test site". The reason I feel that way is the Mass. already has mandatory health insurance that was enacted about 3 years ago and has been a model for other states as well as for national socialized health care. I have read articles a couple of months ago that government was watching this closely. One of the articles you can read at this link.

Massachusetts is an extremely liberal state. If Mass. has set a precedent to be first in instituting and/or enforcing the left agenda, it may not be a long wait to see martial law implemented. The whole world will be watching how that state plays out and the enemy will learn from it. I am in CA and I have 4 grown children in Mass and this makes me very, very worried.

I won't be redundant and waste space, but what he really is I've stated my opinion to in this topic already. To rephrase it and be succinct...he's the greatest internal threat to the continued security and viablility of this republic EVER!
