Stand Up for Texas Conference Call -----------------------------------------August 5, 2009

STAND UP FOR TEXAS RALLY ON THE SOUTH STEPS OF THE CAPITOL.
September 5, 2009 1:00 p.m to 4:00pm

Buses: The main contact for bus coordination is Brook Scima (Katy TEA). Her email address is brooksscima@gmail.com.

The plan is to coordinate buses full of Texas patriots to meet at one central location in Austin and parade up Congress Avenue, unload at the Capitol and rally with the speakers, go back on the buses when ready.

It is important to encourage people from your region to take buses or carpool into Austin because of parking concerns. It is the first UT home game at 6:00 p.m. and all the parking around the Capitol is reserved. If needed, we will contact Capitol Metro to schedule more buses from outlying areas.

It was suggested that any merchandising of tea-shirts, etc., be done at the points of departure before loading the buses.

Diane Eagan, of San Antonio, has secured our keynote speaker--Joe Wurzelbacher “Joe the Plumber.” Joe has been in contact with Sean Hannity and will be on his show next Tuesday to promote our rally nationally! San Antonio and Austin will create a donation site for our Stand Up for Texas Event.

Proposed Schedule for Event:

1:00 p.m. -- buses will arrive and unload. (We need a band to entertain while they arrive.)
There will be 8 speakers who will speak for 10 minutes each. The keynote speaker will have 15-20 minutes. The Texas areas/cities selecting speakers are: Dallas/North Texas; San Antonio; Austin; Houston; Beaumont; Del Rio; the Valley; and the Panhandle. The speakers are chosen on the basis of their ability to tell us why Texas is an example for the rest of the country, and why and how we are standing up for the country. Tony’s site also has the Contract with Voters on the site, which will be distributed to all the attendees as part of their pledge to “Stand Up For Texas.”


The Harley Davidson Motorcycle Club, has contacted Tony Coursant through his website, therightagenda.com. They would like to attend our rally and join the parade with the buses, and estimate 10-20,000 bikers will attend. Check out Tony’s website!

The state organizers will have another conference, Sunday, August 9, at 8:00 p.m.
