It is the parents role to raise their children correctly. Therefore, the state of marriage of one man and one woman is it's foundation. 'Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.' Proverbs 22:6

Your above quote out of Acts show the early Church struggles. Humans being the lustful, greedy people we are, were trying to capitalize upon the use of Jesus' name to increase their power and adoration from the masses. False preachers in this case it is a Jewish group but the Greeks as agnostics were flagrant as well. Hence the tremendous variation in 'religion' today. 'There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but in the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 16:25 both KJV.

Today, we are inundated with false preachers all scamming to make a buck. And many flock to them like sheep to the slaughter. But there is only 1 Word of Truth, the Bible. And if you let the Bible interpret itself, you will see how incorrect and misleading these televangelist really are. In the years ahead a great culmination of these preachers will appear with signs and wonders directing all to follow the Beast (military/political leader). He will be known as the False Prophet or Anti Christ. Be prepared....

And I agree with that decision. Witchcraft should not be glamorized. It seems to have started in Hollywood in the 50s predominantly and took off with the series 'Bewitched.' Now it has spun out of hand with the Harry Potter craze. Is it harmless mythology/stories? If one is strong enough spiritually then they would be able to withstand the underlying suggestions. But books, movies, tv shows, and MUSIC are SATAN's weapons. "Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the PRINCE OF THE POWER OF THE AIR, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.. Ephesians 2:2

So why would one place themselves in danger and read these books or watch/listen to this stuff??

Wow, what a video, hey coming from Louisiana, Voodoo needs to stay in the little bittie corner shop on Bourbon Street in New Orleans! No one needs to dabble in that stuff, that is eerie stuff! It is indeed important for PARENTS to take on a COMPLETE role of teaching right from wrong thinking! It is a shame that lots of people have left their kids to be reared on the streets! And I see this virtually in my own back yard with massive underage drinking and constant accidents and deaths due to this. Where are the parents in all of this? Furthermore, if the young people get away with this, what else are they involved in? I think PARENTS need to fight for their kids and fight hard! If you don't, the government will surely take over and you will be left in the dust. Yes, I am a parent too and it has been a hard struggle but the kid is on the right path! God be praised! This video should be a wake up call to all of us!

I am an ex-Catholic as well. But after self-study, seeking out literature and asking many questions to many sects, I am completing my 2nd Bible Study Course and have learned so much. I don't believe you can be born again until your order in the Resurrections. But if one is called now, in this life, you can fully repent, get baptized in the Church of God, and receive God's great gift of His Holy Spirity to assist your growth. Like being begotten and growing through the pre-birth stages of infancy. Then if you stay strong to the end, you will be part of the firstfruits ressurection - the 1st, the better one where death has no power over you ever again.

I don't believe the 3000 converted Jews in Acts 2 and another 5000 in Acts 4 knew anything except the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ preached by Peter and the Apostles. They were pricked in their hearts and asked what must we do?, in Acts 2:37, because of what they were told in Acts 2:21," And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." This is the message preached all through Acts and for nearly 2000 years. There was no NT at this time.

When the believing Pharisees tried to impose circumcision (all religions of "works" always add to the free gift of God) as a part necessary for salvation, to the Gentile converts in Acts 15, it was rejected.

"Then if you stay strong to the end", I call salvation maintenance, and seems to me this very important doctrine, if true, should have been included in the following verses as well as else where in Acts:

"But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well." Acts 15:20,29

As for me, I have what the Jews acquired in Acts and have the witness in me that I am born from above.

Being born again, not of corruptible seed ["works"], but of incorruptible [by faith alone], by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. 1Peter 1:23-25

So, to be born again, you can now see God as only those of the Spirit can see Him. Even Moses' was only allowed to see Christ's back, deflected. You are on the right path, if you don't mind my saying. Continue to read/study the Bible to learn more. Hopefully some future day, both you and I will actually be 'born again.'
