Ruth, things on Capitol Hill are moving really fast this week. First, some news from this morning. Our pressure, and the objections of numerous other groups, has forced the House of Representatives extend committee negotiations and delay a final vote on the health bill for a few weeks. This is wonderful news!

Now we have just a tiny bit of breathing space! We must take immediate advantage of the House leaders' hesitation. If we delay our activism, we'll be defeated. So please read this email carefully, then act to prevent tax dollars from paying for Illegal Alien healthcare.

One of the things we're hearing from health care reformers is stories about people losing their insurance. Well, I hear these stories, too. More than 500 of your fellow members have written to me this month, many sounding like what Aurelio G. of California:
