AMA and AARP

The fact that the administrations of the AMA and the AARP came out this week to support the dangerous policies of the daily changing Health Reform Bill was waved as a victory flag by the government news media.
If homework had been done, it would have been reported also that only about 20-25% of doctors belong to the AMA because the majority of doctors in this country don't agree with AMA policy. The AMA is run by doctors who do not have private practices and if they do the practice depends on the support of the government....for example university doctors. Most doctors are over worked and do not have time to deal with the AMA.
Since the AARP came out over the last several months in support of the Bill it would be interesting to see the decline in their membership numbers. I do not have those numbers but I have read from several sources the seniors are dropping their membership to an organization that does not have their best interest in mind when making policies. The majority of seniors want to see this bill killed.
